At that moment, the lights in the entire Underground Level Three suddenly went out, leaving only the faint red glow of emergency lighting. 0

"Don't move." Doctor Zhang's voice was unusually calm in the darkness. "It’s System Reset Time." 0

I heard the footsteps outside come to a halt. Then came the sounds of various instruments rebooting, rising and falling like a bizarre symphony. 0

"Three Minutes," she said. "We only have Three Minutes." 0

"Time? What do we do with time?" 0

"Escape. This is our only chance. During these Three Minutes, all surveillance will switch to preset loop footage. Including..." She pointed to the ceiling, "the life-sign scanning system on Level B3." 0

This explained why they chose this moment for the operation: no records, no traces, a perfect window for committing a crime. 0

We quietly pushed open the equipment cabinet door. The corridor was pitch black, with only a faint light emanating from the operating room at the end. 0

"Wait," I suddenly thought of something. "How do you know so many internal details?" 0

In the darkness, I felt her body stiffen for a moment. 0

"Because I designed this system," her voice was filled with pain. "Six years ago, I was indeed an expert from the capital, but not to be a doctor. I was sent to establish this Underground Organ Bank as a technical consultant." 0

I gasped in shock. "So you..." 0

"I thought it was just a normal organ donation transit station," she said with a bitter smile. "Until I discovered they were conducting unspeakable business here—living organ harvesting, illegal transplants, a life-extension project for the wealthy." 0

We moved slowly along the wall. Now I understood why the hospital had specifically hired a Cardiac Surgeon at such a high salary from the capital: they needed a professional who could handle organs perfectly. 0

"I wanted to withdraw, but I knew too much," her voice was soft. "They threatened me; if I dared to speak out, my family in the capital..." 0

Suddenly, we heard the sound of an elevator operating. 0

"No, it shouldn't be running at this time." Doctor Zhang's voice rose sharply. 0

The elevator indicator light was particularly bright in the darkness: descending, targeting B3. 0

"Quick, go!" She pushed me, "Take the fire escape!" 0

But it was already too late. The moment the elevator doors opened, a blinding light illuminated the entire corridor. 0

"Doctor Zhang, Captain Chen." Director Wang's voice came from behind us, "I knew I would find you here." 0

Behind him stood four security guards, each holding a scalpel. 0

"You've seen things you shouldn't have." Director Wang sighed, "What a pity. Doctor Zhang, you were doing so well here." 0

"Do you know why I stayed?" Doctor Zhang suddenly said, "Because I needed to gather evidence. After six years, I've finally collected enough." 0

She pulled a USB drive from her pocket. "All the surgical records, organ trafficking details, financial transactions—it's all here. The backup has already been sent to those who need to know." 0

Director Wang's expression changed: "You!" 0

At that moment, I noticed the time: 03:35:57. 0

Only three seconds until the system would return to normal. 0

"Grab them!" Director Wang shouted angrily. 0

In a split second, I made a decision. I abruptly turned and pushed open the fire escape door while pulling Doctor Zhang inside. 0

"Run!" 0

Behind us came the chaotic sound of footsteps and Director Wang's curses. But what was even more chilling was the sound of a scalpel slicing through the air. 0

We ran frantically upwards until I suddenly heard Doctor Zhang let out a muffled groan. 0

"What happened..." I turned around to see her clutching her shoulder, blood seeping between her fingers. 0

"Don't worry about me!" She urged me to keep going, "Hurry to the control room! That's the only place that can stop all of this!" 0

"What does it mean?" 0

"System Vulnerability!" she said with difficulty. "The system reset at this time every day is a lie; the real purpose is..." 0

Her words were cut off as a piercing alarm suddenly blared through the corridor. 0

03:36:00. The system resumed operation. 0

I supported her as we continued to run up, reaching the first basement level. There was still some distance to the monitoring room, but at least we were safe for the moment. 0

"Can you keep going?" I asked her. 0

She nodded and pulled out another USB Drive from her pocket. "This one is more important. It's the System Source Code, and inside it contains..." 0

Before she could finish, footsteps echoed from the end of the hallway. 0

It was the familiar footsteps of Doctor Zhang. 0

But they weren't coming from just one direction. 0

They were coming from all around. 0
