Lin Xueqing opened her eyes and found herself lying in a quaint chamber adorned with traditional decor. Sunlight streamed through the intricately carved window, casting dappled floral shadows on the floor. 0

She attempted to sit up and realized she was dressed in an Azure Palace Attire. The copper mirror at the head of the bed reflected a face that seemed somewhat unfamiliar—hers, yet not entirely. 0

"Your Highness has awakened," a gentle voice chimed. 0

A young girl in a pink palace outfit hurried over and curtsied. 0

"Your Highness?" Lin Xueqing was taken aback. 0

"Yes," the girl smiled, "Your Highness fainted in the Imperial Garden yesterday. The Imperial Physician said it was due to a chill and advised you to rest well." 0

Lin Xueqing struggled to maintain her composure. "I am..." 0

"You are the head of the Painting Department in the palace, responsible for overseeing all artworks," the girl explained. "Today, Master Lang Shining is coming to seek your guidance on painting techniques." 0

Lang Shining! Lin Xueqing's heart raced. She had truly returned to the Qianlong era. 0

"By the way," the girl said, pulling something from her sleeve, "this is what you were holding tightly when you fainted yesterday." 0

Lin Xueqing took it and saw that it was her Peach Wood Comb. 0

"My name is Xiao Cui," the girl introduced herself. "If you need anything, please call for me at any time." 0

Lin Xueqing nodded, and once Xiao Cui had withdrawn, she carefully examined the room. Several Gongbi Paintings hung on the walls, their skilled brushwork clearly indicating they were created by a master artist. 0

On the table lay the Four Treasures of the Study, along with several scrolls. She unfurled one to find it was a draft of the Hundred Horses Painting. 0

"So, I have become the court painter..." Lin Xueqing murmured to herself. 0

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from outside. 0

"Your Highness," Xiao Cui's voice called out, "Master Lang Shining has arrived." 0

Lin Xueqing took a deep breath. "Please invite him in." 0

As the door opened, a Western man dressed in Qing Dynasty official robes stepped inside. His appearance was identical to that of Lang Shining in historical portraits. 0

"Your Highness, I hope you are well." Lang Shining bowed, "I heard that you were unwell yesterday and came to check on you." 0

"You are too kind, Master." Lin Xueqing returned the gesture, noticing Lang Shining's gaze resting on the Peach Wood Comb. 0

"This comb..." Lang Shining remarked thoughtfully, "is quite exquisite." 0

"It is a family heirloom," Lin Xueqing replied. 0

Lang Shining nodded and lowered his voice. "Do you know about the 'door'?" 0

Lin Xueqing's heart raced. "What do you mean, Master?" 0

"Yesterday, there was unusual activity at the 'door' of Yangxin Hall," Lang Shining said, "and you happened to faint at that time." 0

Lin Xueqing understood that Lang Shining must know something important. 0

"Master," she said cautiously, "could we discuss this in detail?" 0

Lang Shining looked around to ensure no one was listening before replying, "Tonight at Midnight, in Yangxin Hall." 0

With that, he gracefully took his leave. 0

Lin Xueqing sat by the window, gazing at the Peach Wood Comb in her hand. She knew she had to find a way back quickly, but before that, it seemed she had a more important mission to complete. 0

As the sun set, the Forbidden City was bathed in golden twilight. Lin Xueqing stood at the window, looking towards the distant Yangxin Hall. 0

Tonight might be the beginning of unraveling all the mysteries. 0

Meanwhile, inside the modern Qianqing Palace, Shen Mo Ting and Old Curator faced the vanishing light portal, falling into silence. 0

"She will return," Old Curator said. "I hope she can find the truth in the long river of history." 0

Shen Mo Ting clenched his fists. "What are we supposed to do here?" 0

"Wait," Old Curator replied. "And guard the other portals. Because the real crisis may just be beginning..." 0
