Early the next morning, Lin Mingchang used the phone at the inn's front desk to dial the number for the Wuhan Police Station.
"Hello, is this Captain Lu?" Lin Mingchang deliberately raised his voice and spoke in a friendly tone. "This is Lin Mingchang! We’re planning to leave Wuhan in a few days and wanted to see if you could join us for a gathering before we go. Do you have some time?"
On the other end, Captain Lu immediately understood and replied, "Oh, you're leaving so soon? We definitely need to get together. I have some official business to take care of this morning, but I’ll come by the inn once I'm done."
"Great! We'll be waiting for you at the inn."
After hanging up, Lin Mingchang returned upstairs with a teapot and several porcelain cups.

In the jade pendants given to Shen Tong and me by Professor Yang Guangming, we found this Password Book that can be used to translate the true content of The Whisper of the Yellow Swan."
Fang Zigui added, "Additionally, we have confirmed that all three victims had a substance called Lost Soul Powder in their systems, which is a Chudu Witch Doctor's Secret Poison. They all died from poisoning while in a state of mental confusion. These three suicides are actually murders."
Captain Lu's eyes widened as he looked at the evidence before him; for a moment, he was at a loss for words. He never expected that these four young people could make such significant progress in just one day!
Then Captain Lu pulled out a file from a bag he had brought. "I have some findings as well. The suspicious curator Shen Tong mentioned a few days ago—Xu Guangyao—I’ve been investigating him secretly. This guy definitely has issues! His background is very suspicious!"
Captain Lu opened the file and continued, "I found out that Xu Guangyao has worked briefly at museums in Tianjin, Nanjing, and Suzhou over the past three years. Each time he left those positions, valuable documents mysteriously went missing from those museums. Although there’s no direct evidence pointing to him, where there’s smoke, there’s fire; I can’t believe there are so many 'coincidences.'"
"Captain Lu, does anyone at the Police Station know about this?" Shen Tong asked softly.
Captain Lu shook his head. "Aside from one absolutely trustworthy colleague, I haven’t mentioned it to anyone else at the Police Station. To be honest... I suspect Xu Guangyao may have already secured connections with some higher-ups at the Police Station or they might even be in cahoots. The higher-ups are eager to close this case; clearly, someone doesn’t want it investigated further."
"Based on your speculation..." Lin Mingchang stood up and began pacing thoughtfully. "Since Xu Guangyao has established connections with the Police Station, we can basically confirm that he has obtained The Whisper of the Yellow Swan through the tattoos on the three bodies!"
"But he doesn’t have the Password Book," Shen Tong interjected. "So even if he has The Whisper of the Yellow Swan, he wouldn’t be able to understand its content."
Captain Lu agreed. "Exactly! This means his next step will definitely be to search for the Password Book needed to interpret The Whisper of the Yellow Swan. The most likely places for him to look would be in the research lab at the Experimental Institute where the three victims worked or in each of their home studies!"
