Silver Dove found no clues and left with a serious expression. Su Peijiu could tell she was going to report to Su Chi.
Wasn't the person behind this trying to make a big deal out of it? Fine, she just hoped that they wouldn't end up shooting themselves in the foot!
Leaning against the door for a moment, she turned and walked into the house toward Ji Yu's room.
Upon entering, she saw Ji Yu sitting in a chair with his face covered, looking dazed. However, even when lost in thought, he was still handsome. The only requirement that person had when choosing disciples was that they had to be good-looking. People thought he judged by appearance, but in reality, he was just pursuing perfection.
"Senior Brother, what are you doing?" Su Peijiu approached and patted his shoulder.
Ji Yu quickly turned his head to look at her, his expression somewhat awkward. "Junior Sister, I’m not doing anything; just contemplating life."
"Have you dealt with that blood-stained garment?" Su Peijiu sat down as well.
Ji Yu covered his face again with one hand and waved her over with the other. "That’s not a blood-stained garment at all; come here." Su Peijiu leaned in for just three seconds before her face flushed bright red.
After another three seconds, a cold light began to shine in her beautiful eyes, and her delicate hands clenched tightly. She suddenly stood up from the chair. "How shameless! This time I must teach her a lesson." Su Xingyan was truly brazen; engaging in shameless acts while trying to ruin her reputation. She initially thought it was just a simple blood-stained garment from a man, but it turned out to be a woman's menstrual blood!
Ji Yu cleared his throat twice and patted her shoulder. "Junior Sister, just observe the situation; don’t forget that the main event is yet to come."
Su Peijiu shook her head, a cold smile appearing at the corners of her mouth. "Senior Brother, you don’t understand. Ji Yu let out a faint hum. Just then, footsteps were heard from outside. Su Peijiu exchanged a glance with him and quickly went out.
Su Chi rushed over with a worried expression. After seeing Su Peijiu and carefully examining her from head to toe, he finally felt relieved. He sighed and said, "Pei Jiu, rest assured, your father will definitely give you an explanation."
"The villain is so bold as to abduct someone at night without alarming the experts in the residence. I believe it’s highly likely that this villain is still hiding somewhere within the residence," Su Peijiu said, changing from her previous naive demeanor to present her insights. She needed Su Chi to see that she was more than just a vase; she had to show him her greater value so that he would reorganize his plans and she could get closer to the imperial power.
Sure enough, a glimmer of light flashed in Su Chi's worried eyes: "Pei Jiu, how do you know this?"
Su Peijiu pondered for a moment: "Originally, this was just my guess, but the more I think about it, the more plausible it seems. The Prime Minister's Residence is filled with experts; over the years, I've never heard of any treasures or wealth going missing from there. How could a living person suddenly disappear without being noticed by the experts of the Prime Minister's Residence? That would be too strange. So the only explanation is that this villain is still hiding somewhere in the Prime Minister's Residence."
"Good!" Su Chi clapped his hands and laughed: "Indeed, like father like daughter; you think just like me! Here’s what we’ll do: this matter will be entrusted to Pei Jiu. If you catch the villain, your father will reward you handsomely!" Su Peijiu smiled lightly and bowed: "Pei Jiu will not disappoint Father." After sending off Su Chi, she turned to look at Silver Dove.
Without saying a word, Silver Dove lowered her head and remained silent. After watching for a while without any response from Silver Dove, Su Peijiu smiled and spoke with cold light in her eyes: "Silver Dove, go gather some people; we might find ourselves in trouble when we get there."
Only then did Silver Dove speak: "Sister need not worry; since the master has given orders, even the concubines in the residence must obey your arrangements."
"It will be much easier this way." Su Peijiu turned around and said to the distant Pavilion.
