In the remote Mianjiang Village, a bizarre "Locked Room Murder Case" shocked the entire community. 0

A volunteer teacher witnessed the "Demon God" commit murder but could not explain the mystery of the locked room. 0

The entire hillside was shrouded in darkness, as if it had been coated with a layer of gray. The incomplete moon cast a silvery veil over it. On the grassy ground beneath the starry sky stood a massive rock, starkly resembling a giant stone bed. 0

From a distance, it appeared as if two people were lying on the rock, gently caressed by the evening breeze, while tiny insects seemed to eavesdrop on their conversation. 0

"I was terrified to death back then," Shu Huan said, still haunted by the memory. 0

Lu Wan turned his head and looked at her affectionately. He silently took her hand but was slightly startled—her hand was so cold. It seemed that even she, who was usually calm and composed, felt lingering fear when recalling that moment. 0

Shu Huan also turned to Lu Wan, staring at him for a long time before finally saying softly, "I thought I was going to die." 0

Naked and shivering, Shu Huan sat on the cold ground, her eyes fixed on the iron door of the bathroom—the bolt was securely fastened, keeping anyone from entering. This provided her with a slight sense of relief. 0

The terrified screams of women had ceased, and silence enveloped the surroundings, leaving only Shu Huan's rapid breathing. She could even hear her own heartbeat. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath to gather her strength before managing to stand up. 0

In a hurry, she put on her robe and stood dazed in front of the iron door, her hand frozen on the bolt. She hesitated—should she pull back the bolt and open the iron door? 0

On this side of the door, she was clearly safe—the best evidence being that she was still alive, while the women outside were likely dead. But on the other side awaited unknown dangers. Ultimately, her curiosity about the unknown overcame her fear; biting her lip, she slowly pulled back the bolt. 0

“Teacher Shu, can you tell me—what did you see after you opened the door?” Lin Mu Feng asked again, sitting by Shu Huan's bedside with unwavering determination. 0

Shu Huan lay on the folding bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, still unwilling to speak. 0

“Well... how should I put it?” Lin Mu Feng hesitated for a moment before continuing, “Teacher Shu, during your statement to the police, you said—‘As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, I was knocked out by some kind of drug. So I didn’t see anything.’ However, I feel…” 0

“You think I’m lying, don’t you?” Shu Huan continued to gaze at the ceiling. 0

“Yes, I believe that in that brief moment when the door opened, you must have seen something.” 0

Shu Huan let out a bitter smile. “It’s not that I don’t want to say it; it’s just that no one would believe me if I did. Rather than have people think I’m crazy and rambling, it’s cleaner to tell a lie.” 0

Lin Mu Feng nodded and said earnestly, “I understand. But I still suggest you share what you saw. At least, I will believe you.” 0

“You will believe me?!” Shu Huan scoffed. 0

“Even if you say you saw the ‘Demon God’ committing murder, I would believe it without a doubt.” 0

Shu Huan suddenly turned her head, staring at him in shock. 0

“Did I guess right? Hmm?” Lin Mu Feng asked tentatively, though Shu Huan's expression had already given him the answer. 0

“That's right.” As she spoke, Shu Huan sat up slightly, leaning against the edge of the bed. Her voice was weak but clear. “I did see the ‘Demon God.’” 0

"Don't say you think you will die; even I..." Lu Wan didn't finish his sentence but held Shu Huan's hand tighter, wanting to transfer warmth to her. 0

"If I really died, you..." Her words were interrupted by Lu Wan. 0

"Don't make such pointless assumptions." 0

"Then do you love me?" Shu Huan suddenly asked while gazing at the starry sky. 0

Lu Wan raised his right hand, ready to swear an oath: "Of course I love you. If I tell even half a lie, let me..." 0

This time it was Shu Huan who interrupted him: "Swearing is also quite boring." 0

Lu Wan reluctantly lowered his hand. 0

Shu Huan continued, "If one has been loved in their lifetime, then even in death, there would be no regrets." 0

She suddenly recalled something and asked, "What did you feel when you saw the situation in my room back then?" 0

This question brought up unpleasant memories for Lu Wan. 0
