"Alright." Although Wang Yi felt puzzled, he still agreed after a moment of hesitation. He couldn't help but wonder why Chu Yixuan, who had never asked for others' opinions before, was making an exception this time.
Hou Cheng and the other two were also confused but did not ask further questions as they led Wang Yi away from the area, heading towards a magnificent mountain that loomed ahead, its slopes covered in red.
"Let's go." As soon as Wang Yi and the others left, Chu Yixuan's expression darkened. He said, "Immediately gather the brothers for a meeting."
"Understood." Although the two beside him were filled with questions, they immediately complied.
After a while, a grand mountain appeared before Wang Yi and the others. The mountain was steep, with strange peaks rising abruptly from the ground, creating an exceptionally spectacular sight.
Before long, a fiery red cave came into view ahead of Wang Yi. Above the cave entrance, three large characters read "Purgatory Cave."
These characters seemed to be carved with swords; upon closer inspection, they appeared to have been slashed into place. Two young men in red stood at either side of the cave entrance, each carrying a Chiyang Blade, standing straight and unwavering.
Seeing Hou Cheng and the others approach, the two red-clad disciples spoke in unison, "Greetings, Brother Hou and Song Shixiong." As for Wang Yi, he was clearly forgotten by them.
"Alright, this is Brother Wang Yi; I will leave him in your care," Hou Cheng said as he unlocked the chains binding Wang Yi.
"Brother Hou is too polite; this is not a place for idle chatter. I ask that you two brothers leave quickly," the disciple on the right said expressionlessly.
"In that case, we will take our leave!" both Hou Cheng and his companion replied simultaneously.
"Brother Wang Yi, please go ahead!" The disciple on the left glanced at Wang Yi with confusion before stepping into the cave. Wang Yi calmly followed behind.
The passage was about half a meter wide and roughly three meters high; inside the cave was ablaze with fiery red light, resembling a massive furnace.
The stone walls bore marks from axes and knives, indicating that this was an artificially dug stone prison. The floor was paved with blocks of crimson stone; stepping on them sent a burning heat coursing through his body as if the entire ground were aflame.
The passage extended for about a hundred meters, with a crimson stone door every three meters. Each door bore inscriptions ranging from one to ten.
"I am Shi Qian. May I ask how this brother is addressed?" The young man in red who introduced himself as Shi Qian smiled.
Wang Yi remained calm and replied, "Senior Brother Shi, you are too polite. Just call me Wang Yi."
"Is this your first time being imprisoned here?" Shi Qian asked with some confusion. "I have never seen you before."
"Yes, I was caught by surprise this time, and it is indeed my first time in the Flower Girl's bridal sedan," Wang Yi said with a self-deprecating smile.
"Junior Brother Transcendence Level Four, you are confined in Cave Number Ten and above!" Shi Qian nodded and said, "Follow me."
"Does that mean the caves for confinement differ based on strength?" Wang Yi asked.
Shi Qian smiled and said, "Of course. There are a total of twenty caves; the first ten are for ordinary disciples, while the last ten are for elite disciples like you."
"Oh. By the way, why is it so hot here?" Wang Yi frowned and wiped the sweat from his face. He had never been here before and only knew that the Purgatory Cave was where disciples who violated the rules were confined, but he never expected this place to be so strange.
"I knew Wang Shidi would be unable to suppress his curiosity. In fact, every brother who comes here for the first time asks this question," Shi Qian said as if he had anticipated it. "The reason is that underground lies a volcano!"
"What?" Upon hearing this, Wang Yi gasped in shock. "A volcano?" He knew that these volcanoes were extremely dangerous; if one erupted, it would not be difficult for the entire Wolf Mountain to be leveled.
"This is an active volcano," Shi Qian laughed. "It has just been sealed by a powerful member of the Sect."
"Sealed." Wang Yi exclaimed, "What kind of formation could seal an active volcano?" This was all too shocking for Wang Yi. Once a volcano erupted, it could scorch mountains and boil seas, annihilating all living beings; aside from those who had reached Breakthrough, no one would likely escape.
"Who knows? But I suspect it was sealed by a powerful member of the Sect," Shi Qian shook his head.
Wang Yi thought for a moment and mused, "What kind of power does one need to seal an active volcano?"
"By the way, Senior Brother Shi, do you know which cave Niu Meng is confined in?" After glancing around the Cave, Wang Yi asked. This question had weighed on his mind for a long time; he looked forward to seeing the only brother he could trust in this world.
Shi Qian pondered for a moment and asked in confusion, "Niu Meng? Is he the one who looks like a cow?"
"Yes, yes, that's him," Wang Yi laughed. "He really does look like a cow."
At that moment, a Thunderous Voice echoed from the Cave.
"That Bastard is cursing at me," the voice was deep and resonant like rolling thunder, sending shivers down one's spine.
"Niu Meng, what are you yelling about again?" Shi Qian rubbed his ears and laughed as he scolded, "Don't you want to stay here a bit longer?"
"Hehe, Bastard, as soon as I heard that voice, I knew it was you, Brother Shi. When did you have time for this? You’re not trying to invite me for a drink, are you?" The Cave erupted with thunderous laughter again. "Who got locked up this time?"
Wang Yi suddenly felt a sharp pain in his eardrums but was delighted. He shouted, "Mighty Bull, it's me who got locked up." He then said to Shi Qian, "Brother Shi, just keep me locked up here."
"Who? You dare to call me that Bastard? I'll come out and beat you up," a bull-like voice came from the Cave. After a short while, the voice suddenly trembled and asked, "Big Brother, how did you end up locked up?" The voice from the Cave revealed disbelief.
"Haha, I thought you had forgotten about me!" Wang Yi laughed heartily.
"Bastard, I Niu Meng may not know everyone, but I definitely know you, Big Brother," Niu Meng laughed.
"Niu Meng, keep your voice down," Shi Qian said with a wry smile. Niu Meng's voice was anything but quiet; if a child heard it, they would surely cry in fright.
"Brother Shi, if Old Bull could just quiet down a bit, I bet even a sow could climb a tree," another much softer voice came from the Cave.
