Lin Xiaoxiao stood in front of the figure in black, with moonlight piercing through the treetops like ripples, casting their shadows on the pale mist. The eerie atmosphere and the standoff between them made Lin Xiaoxiao breathe quickly and heavily, feeling a sense of oppression that seemed to come at her involuntarily, causing her heart to beat faster.
The face of the figure in black, under the dim moonlight, resembled a pale mask, with only his eyes seeming like the deepest black hole in the night sky, as if they could draw her soul into them. His expression was filled with surprise, clearly not expecting to encounter a regular girl like Lin Xiaoxiao in the desolate night, and especially not one who could see him clearly.

The black-clothed person remained silent for a moment, then said calmly, "I am Gu sha, a Judge. Responsible for maintaining the order of the Yin and Yang realms."

The battle was over, Gu sha slowly sheathed his sword, and his gaze once again fell on Lin Xiaoxiao. This time, his eyes held a hint of complex emotions, as if evaluating the girl who had suddenly entered his life.
Lin Xiaoxiao stood there, her heart still racing, the battle with Gu sha leaving a deep impression on her.
Gu sha's gaze was sharp and profound, as if it could penetrate the secrets of the human heart. He slowly approached Lin Xiaoxiao, scrutinizing every detail of her. In the quiet aftermath of the battle, only their breathing and the sound of the wind in the distant woods echoed through the night.
"Are you injured?" Gu sha's voice suddenly softened, but still carried an unquestionable authority.
Lin Xiaoxiao shook her head slightly, with remnants of fear on her face, but more curiosity towards this Judge. "I'm fine, but... when you mentioned the mission, were you referring to the battle just now? Was that a soul?"
Gu sha glanced around, as if confirming safety, before answering, "Yes, it was a resentful spirit unwilling to leave the world, but I have sent it back to the Underworld." There was a hint of imperceptible weariness in his voice.
Lin Xiaoxiao hesitated for a moment, then asked, "How come I can see you? What's going on?"
Gu sha stared at her, with a hint of inexplicable light in his eyes. "This is very unusual. In theory, mortals should not be able to see us Judge. You... you may have some kind of special constitution that allows you to perceive the existence of souls."
