Sesshomaru's gaze brought a faint blush to Rin's face. She walked up to him and softly said, "How do I look? Do I resemble a bride?" There was a hint of playfulness and anticipation in her eyes.
Sesshomaru looked at her, and a trace of tenderness finally appeared on his indifferent face. He gently said, "Very beautiful, like a fairy." His voice was gentle, but every word was clear.
Rin's smile on her face grew even brighter, and she couldn't help but let out a gentle laugh, yet she also felt the coming difficulties and unknowns. She turned to look at Inuyasha and Bosaku Sei, and said softly, "I'm ready."
Inuyasha nodded, his eyes shining with determination, and said, "Don't worry, we will definitely protect you."
Bosaku Sei also nodded and looked at Rin, saying, "You just need to do your own role, leave the rest to us."
Rin took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and nodded firmly.
Inuyasha, Bosaku Sei, Sesshomaru, and Jaken changed their appearance, dressing themselves as villagers and preparing to carry a palanquin to the River God's shrine.
Under the blessings and worries of the pear blossom family, the group began their plan. The palanquin was slowly lifted, and Inuyasha, Bosaku Sei, Sesshomaru, and Jaken were responsible for carrying the palanquin, slowly moving towards the palace of the River God.
The River God's palace is located in the northern part of the village. Legend has it that it is built of pure white jade, and whenever moonlight shines upon it, the palace emits a faint glow, breathtakingly beautiful.
As the sedan chair moves slowly, the sky seems to sense the tension in everyone's hearts. The clouds gradually gather, and under the gloomy sky, a group of people moves forward slowly, trying hard to suppress their fear.
Before long, they arrived at the majestic palace gates, where the figure of a servant suddenly appeared before them.
The river god's attendants were dressed in golden brocade, with a pearl and jade hairpin adorning their foreheads, giving them an extremely luxurious appearance.
They watched as the sedan chair approached, their expressions unchanged, but the cold indifference in their eyes created an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Bosaku Sei took a deep breath and walked slowly to the sedan chair, saying to the attendant, "We are here to send off the bride."
The attendant looked Bosaku Sei up and down, then nodded to the attendant next to him. They quickly opened the palace gates, and Bosaku Sei and the others followed closely behind the sedan chair as it went inside.
Upon entering the palace, a heavy and oppressive atmosphere immediately enveloped everyone. The interior of the palace was extremely luxurious, but the cold stone walls and dim lighting made it feel eerie.
They were led into a spacious hall. In the center of the hall was a massive dragon-shaped stone throne, upon which sat a man dressed in a black robe. He wore a silver mask on his face, revealing only a pair of indifferent eyes.
That's the River God.
The River God's gaze shifted and landed on Rin. He slowly stood up and said coldly, "Bring the bride over."
Rin's heart was beating rapidly, but she tried to remain calm. Inuyasha and Bosaku Sei held her hand tightly, giving her strength.
With the company of everyone, Rin slowly approached the River God. The River God looked at her coldly and suddenly reached out a hand.
However, just as he was about to reach out and touch Kagome, Sesshomaru suddenly moved. He drew the Tenseiga from his waist, the sword flashed, and he headed straight for the river god!
"Ah!" the river god's attendants exclaimed, drawing their swords and attacking Sesshomaru and the others.
Inuyasha and Bosaku Sei immediately leaped out from the shadows, their swords aimed at the throat and heart of the River God. Sesshomaru and Jaken also surrounded him, creating a situation of being attacked from all sides.
The River God was shocked; he didn't expect these young people to dare to attack him.
"Aren't you afraid that I will bring disaster to the village?" He sneered, his body moved and transformed back into that huge snake form, ready to launch a deadly attack on them...
In an instant, the hall was filled with flashing swords, and the battle officially erupted!
The river god's serpentine body writhed, its fierce gaze seeming to devour the crowd, spewing black smoke into the hall, filling the air with a sense of impending death.
" Kagome, take Rin to a safe place. We'll handle this here," said Inuyasha.
Sesshomaru has a calm demeanor, his Tenseiga dancing, shattering the black mist spewed by the river god.
He looked at Rin and signaled with his eyes for her to retreat to safety. Rin understood his meaning and closely followed Kagome, withdrawing to one side of the hall.
Inuyasha and Bosaku Sei also refused to back down. Their swords danced, resisting the attacks of the river god. Jaken quickly cast a spell, attempting to seal the river god's power.
The river god roared in anger, and his enormous snake body coiled towards Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru leaped into the air, and his sword transformed into a long rainbow, piercing directly at the river god's weak point.
But the river god saw through his attack and instantly evaded.
"Hmph, an arrogant ant!" The river god sneered, spitting out a black lightning bolt from his mouth, striking towards Sesshomaru.
Seeing this, Bosaku Sei immediately swung his sword to cut off the lightning, while Inuyasha took the opportunity to thrust his sword towards the river god. The river god roared in pain, angrily lifting his huge tail and sending Inuyasha flying.
Witnessing Inuyasha being seriously injured, Bosaku Sei and Sesshomaru intensified their attacks. Their swords struck at the river god like a fierce storm, attempting to find an opportunity to defeat it.
The river god's roar was deafening as it fought back furiously, but the coordination of the four became increasingly seamless, making it difficult for the river god to prevail.
Rin looked at the battle in front of her, feeling very anxious, but she knew she had to trust them.
Bosaku Sei and Jaken also did not show weakness, each wielding their weapons and fighting against the attacks of the river god. Every clash of swords, every repel, only served to further enrage the river god.
"You ants!" the river god roared, his body constantly changing, at times turning into black smoke, at times transforming back into a huge serpent, attempting to injure the crowd with his venomous fangs.

The river god felt an unprecedented threat, and he rapidly spun his body, trying to repel the crowd, but his power seemed insufficient to resist their attacks.
Suddenly, Sesshomaru discovered the weakness of the river god and shouted, "Focus your attacks on its head!"
Bosaku Sei and Jaken immediately responded, concentrating their sword lights on the head of the river god, while Inuyasha took the opportunity to get up and join the attack.
Under their joint attack, the river god finally couldn't resist. His body gradually dissipated in the air under the interweaving of sword light and spiritual power.
The black mist in the hall gradually dispersed, and sunlight shone in, dispelling the oppressive feeling around.
Until the river god completely disappeared, the hall regained its tranquility. Everyone was panting, their faces showing signs of exhaustion but also a hint of joy and relief.
"Finally... it's over," Bosaku Sei gasped, smiling faintly.
Inuyasha waved the Tessaiga in his hand as he walked up to Rin and Kagome. He smiled confidently and said, "The crisis this time has been averted."
Rin had tears in her eyes, feeling an unprecedented sense of safety and warmth. Kagome tightly held her hand, looking at everyone with gratitude.
Sesshomaru gazed into the distance with a calm expression.
Suddenly, the palace shook violently.
