On a bustling street, dappled sunlight shines on the faces of Tanjiro, Hijou Feiye, and Tamayo. After everything is settled, the street returns to its original crowded appearance.
The residents on the street are wearing Taisho Era kimonos and Western-style dresses, bustling about as if they all have their own important destinations.
On the streets and alleys, various smells waft through the air—from grilled fish to sticky rice cakes, and a faint scent of cherry blossoms. In the bustling atmosphere, Tanjiro suddenly feels as if he's been struck by lightning, his whole body trembling.
"Oh wait, I think I left Nezuko at the noodle shop owner's place!" Tanjiro suddenly shouts, looking panicked.
Hijou Feiye looked at him in surprise, then agreed, "Yes! I'll ask the boss to take care of it for us. Let's go back and find Nezuko!"
Tamayo asked in confusion, "Excuse me, is Nezuko your pet?"
Tanjiro smiled and replied, "No, that's my sister. She really is very cute!"
Hijou Feiye couldn't help but laugh, then said, "After what you said, sometimes she really does seem like a pet."
Yushirou stood aside, watching the conversation of the three people and shaking his head.
Before long, they arrived at the noodle shop they had visited before. This shop was particularly popular among the local residents, known for its ramen made with a variety of spices and rich meat broth.
The atmosphere inside the shop is very warm, with wooden furniture and lanterns emitting soft light, making people feel like they are back home.
"Nezuko!" Tanjiro shouted loudly, starting to look for her as soon as he entered the shop. When the two of them walked into the bustling noodle shop, a strong aroma of udon noodles hit their noses.
The wooden tables and chairs in the shop, along with the Japanese-style lanterns, exude a peaceful atmosphere. However, this tranquility was suddenly shattered by a piercing scream.
"I, I want to say, it's not about the money. If you don't eat the udon noodles I made, I won't forgive you!" The boss was going crazy, holding a pair of chopsticks in his hand, staring sharply at Nezuko.
"Give me the chopsticks, chopsticks. What's with this bamboo tube? First, take the bamboo tube out of your mouth!" The boss was about to explode, he could hardly believe his eyes: a customer could be so rude.
Nezuko Sitting on a wooden chair, her eyes sparkled, with an expression like a small animal forced into a corner, both cute and funny.
Tanjiro Quickly stepped forward, took the chopsticks from the boss's hand, and under the boss's fierce gaze, finished both bowls of udon.
"Hey, Tanjiro, there's still a bowl for me! What will I eat if you finish it!" Hijou Feiye exclaimed, looking at the empty bowl, feeling a bit at a loss with a wry smile on her face.
Tanjiro chewed the last bite of udon noodles, then smiled and said, "I'm full, it was so delicious, thanks for treating us, boss!"
The boss finally eased up a bit after hearing that. He patted Tanjiro on the shoulder and said, "As long as you understand, and as long as you've eaten!" Tanjiro took Nezuko's hand and gently said, "I'm sorry, Nezuko, for leaving you aside."
Hijou Feiye walked to Nezuko's side, patted her head, and said, "Don't worry, Nezuko is very well-behaved, she doesn't run around, she will wait for us obediently until we come back."
After hearing this, Nezuko's eyes shimmered, as if saying, "It's really okay, as long as my brother and sister come back."
At this moment, the other customers in the store also relaxed, and some even began to clap, as if applauding for this little "drama." The boss walked back to the counter and started preparing noodles and broth for the new customers.
Suddenly, Tanjiro's nose twitched, his face tensed, and his tone became serious: "Hmm, we must leave here quickly and meet with Tamayo. I smell the scent of demons, and it's not just one."
Hijou Feiye and Nezuko immediately became alert, knowing that they would soon face a formidable demon.
"Let's go quickly, we can't let those demons continue to harm innocent people," Hijou Feiye said, her face tense as she drew her Nichirin sword.
Three people quickly left the noodle shop and disappeared around the corner of the street, leaving behind a noodle shop buzzing with discussion and a bewildered owner standing at the door.
"What a strange group of customers," the owner sighed, then shook his head. "But they are indeed the most interesting people I've ever met in my life."
Three people walked out of the noodle shop and onto the bustling street. Lanterns made of wood and paper lined the road, casting a light that illuminated the night like the Taisho Era.
Just out of the noodle shop, Tanjiro and Hijou Feiye noticed that Nezuko became unusually alert. In the blink of an eye, a figure appeared in their line of sight.
It was Yushirou, standing patiently next to a utility pole. He was dressed in a black kimono, wearing a wide-brimmed hat on his head, with a stern expression.
"What! So it's Yushirou after all, I thought it was some other demon," Feiye said with relief.
Hijou Feiye sensed Nezuko's tension and immediately reassured her: "Nezuko, it's okay, he won't hurt us. He's going to take us to a safe place."
Tanjiro walked up, squinting his eyes: "Are you waiting for us? I could have followed the scent to find you..."
Yushirou shook his head: "That place has been enchanted with an illusion. You would never be able to find it."
Next, he glanced at Nezuko, with a hint of disdain on his lips: "Compared to her, isn't that girl a demon? And she's an ugly one too!"
Tanjiro, Hijou, and Feiye were all taken aback by his sudden words.
Tanjiro tightly held Nezuko's hand, thinking to himself, "Ugly woman? Who are you talking about?"
His gaze involuntarily fell on Hijou Feiye.
Hijou Feiye was clearly angered by Tanjiro's gaze directed at her: "Tanjiro, are you looking for a fight? I'm not a demon, so why are you staring at me?"
Watching Hijou Feiye roll up her sleeves, Yushirou sneered, "Stop fighting, you're both ugly women."
Hijou Feiye reluctantly let go of their hand, but Tanjiro still didn't give up: "Nezuko, how could you be an ugly girl? Take a good look at this appearance, Nezuko is recognized as a beauty in the town!"
Yushirou impatiently waved his hand: "Let's go."
Three people followed Yushirou and passed through the bustling city area, finally arriving at a small house in the suburbs.
Later, the four of them arrived at a Western-style house and indeed, from the outside, they saw a symbol similar to a diversionary tactic.
In the courtyard outside the cabin, various flowers and plants are planted, and there is a small pond with several koi swimming around.
Yushirou opened the door and walked in.
"Let's take a rest here for now," said Hijou Feiye as they looked around.
Tanjiro nodded, but still felt unwilling in his heart: "But I have to say, Nezuko is not an ugly girl!"
Hijou Feiye Smiling, I walked over and gently patted his shoulder, "I understand, I understand, you don't need to explain anymore."
Upon entering, the four of them arrived in a living room with a faint scent of cedarwood. The room had a simple layout but was extremely clean. The tatami mats on the floor were thick, and there was a low wooden tea table with a set of porcelain tea utensils placed on it. The windows were made of paper doors, allowing soft light to filter through and illuminate the room.
On one wall hung a traditional ink painting depicting a lush mountain and river scene, seemingly suggesting that this was a place far from the hustle and bustle, free from worldly strife.
"Perhaps it's because of this bamboo tube. I'm going to take it off and let you see Nezuko's beauty!" Tanjiro said proudly as he put his hand on Nezuko's bamboo tube.
"That's enough, Tanjiro. You'll soon see that Nezuko is a beauty, but there will be a stubborn bug following her!" Hijou Feiye said helplessly as they swatted away Tanjiro's hand.
"I'm back," Yushirou said lightly, as if he had never heard Tanjiro's words.
"Welcome back," Tamayo said, now dressed in a doctor's gown, different from her previous cheongsam attire. She stood beside a bed, on which lay the woman who had been bitten by her husband earlier.
"Ah, are you okay? I'm really sorry to have to leave her with you." Tanjiro looked at the woman on the bed with a concerned expression.
Tamayo touched the woman's forehead and said, "She's fine now. It's just her husband who's a bit pitiful, locked up in the underground dungeon."
Tanjiro looked at Tamayo and suddenly realized that she was a demon, so he asked, "Does it hurt a lot to treat demon wounds?"
As soon as Tanjiro finished speaking, he was punched in the shoulder and neck by Yushirou, causing him to wince in pain.
"As ghosts, we have to endure the smell of flesh and blood, resist the temptation of saliva, and also provide treatment to humans!" Yushirou sounded agitated, as if he could erupt at any moment.
Tamayo couldn't help but stop him: " Yushirou, stop it. Why do you have to resort to violence?"
"Hello, I'm sure you already know our names. This child's personality is just like that, but kind-hearted. Please get along with him well."
Tanjiro and Hijou Feiye were both thinking at the same time: "Getting along is really difficult... You say we should get along well, but it's really not easy."
The four people's eyes met in the center, and the atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
