The atmosphere in the arena instantly became tense, as Batman and Chi stood in opposing positions.
A bridge lowered, separating them from the outside world, once again turning the central arena into an isolated island.
A burly man took a deep breath and said coldly, "My name is Bendot, a robber and murderer sentenced to 199 years in prison. Little girl, if you're afraid, you better surrender quickly. Otherwise, don't blame me when I return. Blame your companion for being so heartless as to send you to battle."
Facing such a threat, Chi, dressed in a pink dress, remained calm, even with a barely noticeable smile. "I am Chi. So, how will the competition proceed?"
The burly man was slightly surprised, but quickly composed himself: "You have courage, I admire that. So I suggest, we have a life-and-death duel, what do you say?"
Chi raised an eyebrow, smiled, and said, "Good, I accept."
Upon seeing Chi so readily accept the rules of life and death duel, Bendot was momentarily at a loss, but he quickly adjusted his emotions.
"Let's begin then!" Bendot charged forward like a wild beast, his fierce fists carrying the sound of tearing through the air as he headed straight for Chi.
"Your move looks good, but not good enough." Chi dodged agilely, a barely noticeable smile playing on her lips. In the split second of evasion, her fingers made a slight movement, and an invisible Nen energy line adhered to Bendot's back.
Bendot launched another attack, this time with a high kick. "This kick will send you flying three meters!"
Chi not only easily dodged, but also retorted, "Why don't you try my move?" She stuck a Nen power line on Bendot's foot.
Bendot frowned, "Strange, what did you do to me?" He attacked Chi with a seemingly ordinary but actually deadly downward punch.
"You feel something's not right, but it's too late." Chi dodged to the side, a confident smile on her lips, and stuck the third Nen ability line.
"You little brat..." Bendot suddenly turned around, attempting to kick Chi in the waist.
Chi leaped lightly, avoiding the kick like a petal floating in the wind. "You're still too clumsy, don't know what 'strategy' means."
The moment she landed, she stuck a line on Bendot's leg again.
"Enough, I won't let you escape again!" Bendot gathered all his strength, attempting a fatal blow.
"Really?" Chi responded with a smile, lightly pulling on the Nen energy line in her hand, causing Bendot's movement to slow down for just a moment, allowing her to evade once again.
"Damn little girl, I want you to know what hell is!" Bendot cursed to himself, changed tactics, and attempted a low sweep.
Chi easily dodged with a roll, "Are you sure you're qualified to yell at me?" She attached the sixth wire to Bendot's ankle.
"What... what kind of technique is this!" Bendot began to feel tired.
"You will know soon enough," Chi stood still, using her Nen ability to pull and tug, causing Bendot to lose balance and miss the target.
"I won't lose to you like this!" Bendot exerted the last bit of strength, attempting a backflip kick.
"Too late," Chi smiled lightly, using the power of Nen to pull a line, causing Bendot to lose balance in the air and fall heavily to the ground.
Chi sneered, "It seems you are not our match," as she used her Nen ability to take control of Bendot's body.
Bendot finally realized that he had underestimated this seemingly weak little girl. His eyes were filled with disappointment and fear, but he was unable to move, and could only be manipulated by Chi.
"It's over," Chi said lightly, instantly tightening all the energy lines focused on Bendot. An irresistible force overwhelmed him, making it impossible to break free.
The atmosphere on the stage suddenly became unusually quiet. All the spectators were shocked by Chi's unexpected performance, even the usually outspoken Leorio was briefly speechless.
"Hahaha..." Batty laughed heartily, as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world.
"What are you laughing at?" Chi asked, frowning slightly.
"Oh, little sister, your attack just now was indeed impressive. But let me guess, you've never actually killed anyone, have you? You deliberately avoided my vital points. I'll tell you, unless you kill me, I will never say 'I surrender,'" Batty continued to grin, with a hint of provocation in his eyes.
"Oh, is that so? Do you think I can't handle you?" Chi retorted, with a slight upward curve of her mouth, but her eyes revealed coldness and determination.
"No, that's not it. I mean you don't have the guts to kill." Bendot responded, with a continued upward curve of his mouth, his provocative gaze becoming more pronounced.
"Courage?" Chi smiled slightly at the corner of her mouth, but there was no hint of amusement in her eyes. Instead, her cold gaze seemed to be scrutinizing Bendot, "Don't you think this kind of idea is actually an insult to yourself?"
"Insult? Bendot smirked cunningly, clearly not taking Chi's words to heart. 'If you have the ability, then come and try.'
Chi's gaze was sharp as a knife, body slightly leaning forward, like a cheetah eyeing its prey. 'Since you are so confident, then I won't hold back.'"
Nen has the ability to forcibly control once, causing slight damage to the other party, especially when the other party is a normal person, not a Nen user.
As soon as the words fell, Chi lightly flicked his finger. An almost invisible Nen line cut through the air and quickly pierced Bendot's head.
"What is this?" Bendot felt an indescribable force pressing on him, and his consciousness began to blur.
"This is what you call 'insult'. Now, please clearly say those four words." Chi said coldly, while continuing to tighten Nen's ability line.
Bendot desperately wanted to break free, but he felt an unprecedented sense of powerlessness and fear enveloping him, as if he were tightly bound by invisible chains.
"I... I give up," Bendot, unable to resist, finally gritted his teeth and uttered these four words.
When Bendot finally gritted their teeth and said "I give up," the electronic display in the audience immediately changed. The number that was originally displayed as "0" jumped to "1," indicating that Gon their team had won the first game.
Bendot Upon returning to his seat, he immediately faced accusations from other prisoners.
"What were you thinking?" one prisoner asked angrily, his expression very displeased. "You didn't even waste much of their time! It hasn't even been an hour, and you've let them achieve a victory."
"If this continues, they only need to win two more games to get through from here," another prisoner continued, frowning deeply.
"That's true," another prisoner beside him chimed in, clearly displeased with the performance of the Bendot.
Just as everything was unfolding in the arena, a man with a hedgehog head and glasses was watching the entire battle through a monitor, munching on chicken nuggets. This man was the examiner for the third round, and also the warden of the prison - Lippo.
As a bounty hunter and prison warden, Lippo offered prisoners a deal: "One hour in exchange for one year." In other words, if the prisoners could delay the examinee's time in the tower, their sentences would be reduced accordingly.
"Everyone, we need to take this more seriously from now on, or our sentences will continue to be indefinite," a prisoner said solemnly, with a deep sense of concern in their eyes.
"We must consume their entire 72 hours in order to obtain a pardon of seventy-two years," said another, smaller prisoner, with a determined tone.
Then he turned to the surveillance camera and directly addressed the warden, Lippo, sitting in the control room, saying, "It's my turn next. Please unlock my handcuffs."
On the side of Gon, the atmosphere also appears quite tense.
" Chi, I didn't realize you were so strong. Can you teach me the move you just used?" Leorio asked excitedly, his eyes gleaming with greed. He thought to himself, "If I can learn this move, I'll definitely make a profit."
"No," Chi replied firmly.
"Well, Chi, don't be so stingy," grumbled Leorio.
"Leorio, do you want to shut up again?" Chi responded coldly.
At that moment, Curarpikt interrupted their conversation: "Leorio, that's enough. Stop bothering Chi. I've already heard their conversation and know their purpose."
"Is it a prisoner with an extremely long sentence?" Leorio asked in confusion.
"Exactly. Their purpose is to keep us delayed in the tower, so that they can reduce their own sentences based on how long we take." Curarpikt explained, then continued, "Our infighting plays right into their intentions."
Killua joined the conversation at this point, "Since we know their purpose and have already won a victory, who should be the next one to step up for the next round?"
"I'll go," Gon immediately raised his hand.
"Do you have confidence?" Killua asked, concerned.
"Yes," Gon responded simply.
Except for Chi, the other two showed somewhat uneasy expressions.
"Look at that opponent, he doesn't seem like someone who wins by strength. Let's trust Gon." Killua finally said, glancing at the characters sent out by the other side.
