The news of Lin Yu's betrayal quickly spread throughout the Shadow Guard. Soldiers were busy dealing with the aftermath of the explosion, and the camp was in disarray, thick smoke filling the air. Many were injured, and the soldiers anxiously rushed to rescue their comrades, gathering damaged weapons and equipment. The power of the explosion left everyone shaken, and the camp was filled with panic and chaos. 0

Li Mu stood in the center of the camp, his expression complex, filled with contradictions and doubts. He had always been unwilling to believe that Lin Yu would betray them, but the reality before him forced him to confront this harsh truth. Lin Yu's tent had been destroyed by his own hand, leaving no clues behind; his figure had vanished without a trace in the chaos. 0

"Lin Yu, what are you thinking?" Li Mu looked at the distant horizon with grief and anger, confusion and pain swirling within him. He recalled all the experiences he had shared with Lin Yu, the years they fought side by side, and how those once-shared vows and trust had been shattered by this act of betrayal. 0

Around him, soldiers were busy, yet Li Mu could not calm his emotions. He looked at the scene around him; every corner of the camp seemed to remind him that former comrades had now become enemies. The pain of this betrayal twisted his heart like a knife, and he could not understand why Lin Yu would make such a decision. 0

"What does he really want?" Li Mu was filled with doubt; Lin Yu's betrayal left him bewildered. He had thought he understood this brother well, but now he realized that Lin Yu's thoughts were far more complicated than he had imagined. 0

About three hours later, Cao Ling stood in a makeshift tent in the camp, angrily issuing orders. The flickering flames around the camp illuminated soldiers who were busy cleaning up after the explosion, but Cao Ling's mood remained unsettled. 0

"The team pursuing Xiao Yun will be led by Wong Ji," Cao Ling said coldly, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes. "Li Mu, Two, Three, you three will accompany him on the pursuit." 0

Wong Ji stood nearby with a smug expression on his face; he knew this was his chance to earn merit. He respectfully bowed and replied, "Yes, my lord!" 0

"As for Lin Yu," Cao Ling's voice turned even colder, "Four, Five, Six, you three are responsible for hunting down this traitor. No matter what it takes, you must bring him back alive or… kill him on sight." 0

Four, Five, and Six responded in unison: "Understood, my lord!" 0

Cao Ling furrowed his brow tightly, filled with anxiety and anger. He cursed himself for not having enough manpower; only these few remained in the camp while others were on missions in different areas and could not be recalled immediately. He even considered taking matters into his own hands but knew that operations in Xiyue City were still ongoing and that the threat from the Red Flame Army had not yet been eliminated. He needed to stay behind to prevent them from taking root here. 0

"Damn Lin Yu for betraying us at this time!" Cao Ling gritted his teeth, fists clenched tightly as veins bulged on his forehead. 0

"Wong Ji," Cao Ling turned to him, her tone cold. "I give you three days to bring that girl back. Otherwise, you know the consequences." 0

Wong Ji's heart tightened, and he quickly nodded. "Yes, my lord, I will complete the mission!" 0

A hint of malice flashed in Cao Ling's eyes as she looked at Li Mu and the other pursuers. "You too, this operation concerns the honor of our Shadow Guard; there must be no mistakes. Lin Yu and that girl must be captured." 0

Li Mu nodded but was still filled with inner conflict. He dared not defy Cao Ling's orders, yet he could not believe that Lin Yu would truly betray them. Looking at Cao Ling's icy gaze, he knew he had no choice. 0

"Yes, my lord," Li Mu replied softly, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes. 0

Cao Ling waved her hand, signaling them to depart. "Go, remember, you cannot fail!" 0

Wong Ji, Li Mu, and the others quickly left the tent to prepare for action. Cao Ling stood inside the tent, watching their retreating figures, her heart still filled with anger and anxiety. She knew this operation would determine the future of the Shadow Guard and her own fate. 0

"Lin Yu... Xiao Yun..." Cao Ling murmured to herself, a cold light flashing in her eyes. "You cannot escape; no matter where you hide, I will bring you back." 0

The firelight in the camp illuminated Cao Ling's face, making her expression appear even darker and more terrifying. This pursuit would be a bloody contest; no matter the cost, Cao Ling was determined to capture all traitors and rebels. 0

Xiao Yun's pursuit team quickly prepared to set off under Wong Ji's leadership, creating a tense and busy atmosphere in the camp. Li Mu and two others were somewhat dissatisfied, harboring disdain for this petty scholar who had gained power. 0

"Damn it... following this bastard's orders... I might as well be killed..." Li Mu muttered under his breath, his face filled with anger and contempt. 0

Two adjusted his Conical Hat and positioned the chin strap properly, his gaze cold. "We three might move much faster." His tone was filled with disdain and distrust towards Wong Ji. 0

Number Three nodded and softly agreed, "Yeah, this guy doesn't understand the ecology of the Shadow Guard at all; he's just going to hold us back." 0

Wong Ji heard their whispers, turned around with an unhappy expression, and said, "What are you muttering about? If you have any complaints, just say them directly." 0

Li Mu suppressed his anger but ultimately couldn't help but speak out, "That's right, we look down on you! You don't understand how the Shadow Guard operates; you're just dragging us down." 0

Wong Ji's expression darkened as he sneered, "Oh, really? Then you wouldn't even know if there's a traitor among you. Naturally, you'll have to rely on me, an outsider, to lead the operation." 0

Li Mu snorted coldly, a flicker of anger in his eyes: "You're just an outsider; what do you know about loyalty and honor? You only play your little schemes." 0

Wong Ji's anger flared up at this, and his tone became sharper: "Loyalty and honor? What a joke! If you were truly loyal, why would you let that traitor Lin Yu slip in? Your loyalty is nothing but self-deception!" 0

Two and Number Three couldn't help but frown, feeling even more dissatisfied with Wong Ji. However, they could only hold back their anger for now, knowing that continuing to argue would only waste time. 0

Wong Ji said coldly, "Alright, stop arguing! Our goal is to capture that girl; don't let any personal feelings interfere with the mission." 0

Li Mu nodded. Although he was filled with disgust, he still forced himself to control his emotions and said, "Hmph..." 0

With Wong Ji's command, the pursuit team quickly set off in the direction where Xiao Yun might have fled. Li Mu, Two, and Number Three were filled with doubts and unease, but they knew there was no turning back now; they could only move forward bravely. Wong Ji walked ahead with a smug smile, as if he had everything under control. Meanwhile, Li Mu and his companions silently prayed that this operation would go smoothly and that no unforeseen troubles would arise. 0
