After several days of observation and investigation, Xiaocui uncovered suspicious behavior from Wu Qing's confidant in the kitchen. She resolved to take action and expose Wu Qing's conspiracy. Utilizing her intelligence and courage, Xiaocui set a trap, successfully capturing Wu Qing's confidant and learning all of Wu Qing's plans from him.
Upon hearing all of this, Shen Qingya felt shocked and furious. She knew that if she did not take action, both she and Xiaocui would be in increasingly dangerous situations. Shen Qingya decided to inform her father about Wu Qing's true nature.
During a family meeting, Shen Qingya bravely revealed Wu Qing's conspiracy with the evidence collected by Xiaocui. Shen Qingya's father, the head of the household, was taken aback; he had never expected his new wife would engage in such actions.
Shen Qingya's father decided to investigate Wu Qing and temporarily stripped her of some powers within the household. The courageous actions of Shen Qingya and Xiaocui successfully protected themselves and allowed the people in the household to recognize Shen Qingya's abilities and decisiveness anew.
As time passed, Shen Qingya not only established her own influence within the household but also secretly operated some businesses outside, accumulating a certain amount of wealth. This wealth became a safeguard for her and Xiaocui, providing them with more options.
One day, Shen Qingya called Xiaocui into her room and informed her that she was ready to leave. Shen Qingya said, "Xiaocui, we have enough resources and capabilities; it’s time to leave here and go to a place where no one knows us, starting a new life."
After listening, Xiaocui felt both excited and a bit reluctant. But she knew this was the best choice for them. She firmly said to Shen Qingya, "Miss, no matter where you go, I will follow you and protect you."
Shen Qingya was touched and held Xiaocui's hand, both of their eyes filled with anticipation and determination for the future.
One morning, Shen Qingya and Xiaocui quietly left the residence where they had lived for many years, filled with hopes for the future. They did not tell anyone or take any unnecessary belongings, only the assets that Shen Qingya had managed over the years and the hope in their hearts.
They arrived in a distant town where no one knew their past or understood their story. With her intelligence and funds, Shen Qingya quickly established a new business here and gradually integrated into the local life.
In this new environment, Xiaocui continued to use her cleverness to help Shen Qingya handle various affairs. Their business grew larger, and their lives became more stable. More importantly, they found the long-lost freedom and peace they had been yearning for.
As time passed, Shen Qingya and Xiaocui built their own home in this new place. Their reputation gradually spread throughout the town, becoming respected merchants and philanthropists. They used their wealth to help those in need, winning the affection of the townspeople.
Shen Qingya knew that their current life was inseparable from their joint efforts and perseverance. She was grateful for Xiaocui's companionship and support all along, as well as for having the courage to step out of the shadows of the past.
On a warm afternoon, Shen Qingya and Xiaocui sat in their small courtyard, enjoying the tranquil moments. Shen Qingya softly said to Xiaocui, "Xiaocui, look, we have finally found our own place in this world. All of this is because you are by my side."
Xiaocui smiled in response, "Miss Shen, our fate has always been in our own hands. I am honored to walk this journey with you."
They exchanged smiles, filled with gratitude and happiness. They knew that despite the many hardships of the past, they had found a bright future that belonged to them.
