Tie Zhu stared in shock at the Ruined Building where a loud explosion and flames erupted. "What should we do, Shunliu Brother?" 0

Wang Shunliu smacked his lips, feeling a momentary daze. "Let's go inside and take a look!" 0

Tie Zhu followed behind Wang Shunliu, crouching low and cautiously crossing the street, tiptoeing into the Ruined Building. 0

The first floor of the Ruined Building was filled with dust from the explosion, and a pungent smell permeated the air. Some flammable materials were burning, and the interior was in disarray, showing signs of a violent explosion. 0

As they rushed into the room, the bodies of Kuomintang soldiers lay irregularly scattered throughout, some grotesquely dismembered, blood flowing everywhere. The entire place resembled a hellish scene. 0

There were no intact corpses of Japanese Soldiers left; they had been blown apart, with pieces wrapped in yellowish Military Uniform scattered across the floor. 0

Unable to endure the gruesome sight, Tie Zhu felt his stomach churn as soon as he entered. He ran outside and clung to the doorpost, vomiting violently. Everything he had eaten that morning came up, and his mind was filled with horrific images from inside. 0

Wang Shunliu also felt unwell; his stomach was churning. He covered his mouth with his hand and bit down gently on his tongue to stave off nausea. Just as the pain subsided, his stomach churned again, prompting him to rush outside to vomit as well. 0

After vomiting for a while, Wang Shunliu gritted his teeth and turned to re-enter the building. Enduring various discomforts, he began tearing off the name tags from the bodies of his fallen comrades. He took out a piece of cloth from his pocket, carefully placed it inside, and then wrapped it up neatly before hiding it in his clothing. 0

These name tags needed to be submitted after the battle; they served as proof that they had died on the battlefield and were neither deserters nor missing! 0

"Tie Zhu, stop throwing up and come in to help clean up the battlefield. See if there's anything useful." 0

Tie Zhu, already feeling weak from vomiting, turned his head but upon seeing the state of the room again, he retched once more. 0

"Shunliu Brother, I... I can't... ugh... let me... rest for a moment." 0

Seeing Tie Zhu's condition, Wang Shunliu no longer forced him and began to collect ammunition from the bodies of fallen comrades. 0

The Nationalist Army was also short on ammunition. Although it wasn't as severe as the rumored shortages faced by the Communists, the 66th Regiment was a regular army unit. Before the war, each soldier carried one hundred rounds of ammunition. After two hours of fighting in the morning, Wang Shunliu had consumed a large portion of his supply, and Tie Zhu had shared some with him. Now, he only had a little over twenty bullets left in his pocket. 0

Tie Zhu vomited for a while; there was nothing left in his stomach to expel, and he began to bring up bile. He forced himself to stand up, not daring to turn his back on Wang Shunliu. He shouted, "Shunliu Brother, are you ready? Let's go." 0

Before he could finish speaking, a sharp sound pierced the air, loud and shrill, accompanied by a deep rumble that resembled the roar of an ancient beast. 0

"Super Cannon! Tie Zhu, get inside!" Upon hearing this sound, Tie Zhu's face changed completely. He had heard it yesterday when an entire regiment was nearly wiped out at their position; they had only managed to enter the area during the night. 0

Wang Shunliu quickly stepped forward and pulled the half-crouching Tie Zhu into the doorway. As they entered, Tie Zhu tripped over the threshold and fell to the ground. Wang Shunliu ignored this and dragged Tie Zhu several steps into the room, pinning him beneath himself as blood soaked through Tie Zhu's thin military uniform. 0

Tie Zhu didn't have time to speak before a massive explosion sounded not far away. 0

At sea, Japanese Third Fleet 0

"Gun position one ready!" 0

"Gun position two ready!" 0

"Gun position three ready!" 0

"…" 0

"Gun position ten ready!" 0

"Target confirmed!" 0

"Fire!" 0

"Fire!" 0

With the order from the messenger, the main and secondary guns of all warships in the Japanese Third Fleet roared loudly, launching shells toward Luodian. 0

All combat vessels of the Japanese Third Fleet were anchored in the nearshore area, lined up in a row. The 300mm Super Cannons let out a series of furious roars, sending deadly projectiles raining down on the Chinese forces, claiming lives. 0

On the flagship of the Third Fleet, the bridge of Izumo. 0

Nomura Kichisaburo was leisurely sipping coffee while listening to his subordinate's report: "Those army bastards are truly useless. In just a short time, they lost the outer positions of Luodian. If it weren't for our support, they would probably have been driven into the sea by the Chinese forces by now." 0

"You're right, Commander. Those army bastards are of no help at all. They apply for huge budgets from the military every year. That money could be enough for us to build several battleships and capture all of China's coastal cities!" 0

Nomura Kichisaburo nodded: "China is indeed rich, but soon these lands will belong to our Greater Japanese Empire! Let's celebrate our victory in advance as the Crown Prince suggested! Long live the Emperor!" 0

"Long live the Emperor!" 0

The commanders of the various ships in the Third Fleet were holding a meeting on Izumo. They were not worried at all about being in Chinese waters or about an attack from the Chinese fleet. After the war began, instead of staying on their respective warships to command operations, they had come to celebrate. 0

"Shinshin-kun, send a message to the 11th Division, telling them that our navy still has combat missions and can only provide ten minutes of Naval Gun support. We hope the army will cherish this opportunity and eliminate the defending forces at Luodian!" 0

"Yes!" 0

After issuing the combat orders, Nomura Kichisaburo slowly stood up and walked outside the cabin, looking enviously at the city along the coastline. "China is truly prosperous!" 0

Inside Luodian Town, the ground was constantly shaking. Each shell that landed was accompanied by massive explosions and tremors. The positions of the Nationalist Army from just a minute ago had already been covered by artillery fire. The defensive structures were rendered useless under the bombardment of the Super Cannon, and the entire area had been turned into a massive crater. 0

A 300mm caliber main gun could create a pit five to eight meters deep and about twelve meters wide. All living beings within an eighty-meter radius were killed, while those within a hundred and fifty meters were injured! 0

Under the bombardment of the Naval Gun, the Nationalist Army suffered tremendous casualties. A shell directly hit the center of the Third Battalion, First Company. After the smoke cleared, all soldiers from One Team had perished, with no survivors. 0

In Luodian Town, a shell landed over a hundred meters behind Tie Zhu and Wang Shunliu. The violent explosion and shockwave turned many surrounding buildings into ruins. 0

Tie Zhu was pressed firmly to the ground by Wang Shunliu, feeling as if the entire earth was trembling continuously. The whole house shook violently, teetering on the brink of collapse as debris fell from the roof. 0

After about a minute, or perhaps ten minutes, Tie Zhu felt his ears buzzing; the world was eerily quiet except for some buzzing sounds. 0

"Shunliu Brother!" Tie Zhu pushed Wang Shunliu who was on top of him. 0

Wang Shunliu turned his head with his mouth agape. "Tie Zhu, what’s wrong?" 0

Tie Zhu shook his head to indicate he couldn't hear. He could only see Wang Shunliu's mouth moving but couldn't make out what he was saying. "Shunliu Brother, what are you saying? I can't hear!" 0

Wang Shunliu opened his mouth wide again to shout, but he also couldn't hear what Wang Shunliu was saying. The two communicated like this for about a minute until suddenly the world returned to normal. Occasionally, there were still loud explosions in the distance, and Tie Zhu's ears continued to buzz with ringing sounds in his head. 0
