Zhiyun and Jade Wing quietly approached the source of the sound. As they got closer, a concealed small cave gradually became visible. The entrance of the cave was covered by leaves and vines, making it difficult to notice its existence without their keen perception.
Zhiyun signaled Jade Wing to stay alert as she slowly approached the cave, attempting to peek inside. Just then, a sudden low and eerie roar came from inside the cave, carrying a sense of foreboding in its sound.
Zhiyun and Jade Wing locked eyes, a hint of determination flashing in their gaze. They knew that they might be facing even more daunting challenges ahead, but they were prepared to confront the unknown dangers no matter what.
Zhiyun cautiously entered the cave, with Yuyi closely following behind. The interior of the cave was dim, with only a faint light coming in from outside. Their eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness, and they began to make out their surroundings.
Suddenly, a huge shadow leaped out from the depths of the cave and lunged towards them. Zhiyun quickly waved the staff in his hand, emitting a dazzling light that illuminated the entire cave, revealing the true identity of the massive shadow.
It was a huge monster, covered in rough black scales, with a pair of crimson eyes shining with evil in the dark. Its mouth was open, revealing sharp teeth, emitting a threatening roar.
Zhiyun, unafraid, drew complex runes in the air with her staff, then a powerful energy wave shot out from the staff, directly hitting the monster.
The monster was hit by an energy wave, emitting a miserable cry, and took a few steps back, but quickly stabilized its body, showing its amazing resilience and strength.
Jade Wing was not to be outdone. Despite its small size, it was extremely fast. Like a lightning bolt, it flew towards the monster, attacking its eyes and weak spots with its sharp beak and claws.
The monster howled in pain, constantly swinging its huge claws trying to grab Jade Wing, but Jade Wing always cleverly avoided them.
Seeing an opportunity, Zhiyun once again waved the staff, and an even more powerful beam shot out from the staff, directly hitting the monster's heart.
This blow was fatal, and the monster let out one last miserable cry, falling to the ground and ceasing to move.
Zhiyun and Jade Wing observed cautiously for a while, confirming that the monster showed no signs of life, before finally relaxing.
"This monster is unusual, its power far exceeds that of ordinary monsters," Zhiyun said, frowning.
Jade Wing nodded in agreement, "Yes, and it seems to be deliberately hiding here, waiting for an opportunity. There must be some secret in here that we don't know about."
Zhiyun looked around and found a small path leading deeper into the cave. She said to Yuyi, "We should explore further and see if we can find any clues."
The two of them carefully proceeded along the path, and as the cave grew deeper, the air became filled with dampness and mildew. They encountered some small monsters from time to time, but they were quickly dealt with.
Finally, they arrived at the end of the cave and discovered a spacious underground area, where more monster auras were mixed in.
