Amy nervously swallowed and couldn't help but think, "What if my parents were turned into these marionettes? What would I do?" She carefully examined each marionette face, trying to find her parents' familiar faces among them. 0

But after a careful observation, she finally confirmed: her parents were not among these marionettes. In an instant, she felt like a released balloon, all the tension in her body swept away. 0

At that moment, a voice sounded: "Are you looking for your parents?" 0

Amy was startled and immediately found the source of the voice. It was Jis, his blue eyes still bright as stars, but with a hint of seriousness at the moment. He was also hanging from the tree. 0

But then he seemed to come and go as he pleased, and the line lowered him down. Jis touched the ground and slowly walked towards Amy. 0

"Yes, how do I save them?" Amy asked urgently. 0

"You must act quickly. The puppet witch will use various methods to entice them to stay in this world. Only by leaving this world, this house, and even that door, can you completely escape the influence of the puppet witch." 0

"But what about you? How did you end up here? Can I save everyone here?" Amy's eyes softened, clearly showing concern for Jis's situation. 0

Jis A faint smile, but there was a hint of desolation in that smile. "Since the last time I let you go, puppet the witch punished me, but I couldn't leave anyway. As for the others..." 0

His tone became serious, "I'm not sure, but your family should come first. You must save them first, and then we can talk about the rest." 0

"What if I can find a way to set them free right now?" Amy suddenly said. 0

"Set them free? Have you found something?" Jis' eyes flashed with an urgency that was impossible to ignore. 0

Amy no longer hesitated and quickly handed the handbook and keys from her pocket to Jis. "This is it. The handbook has instructions on 'How to Remove the puppet Curse,' and this key. Do you think this will be useful?" 0

Jis's eyes brightened for a moment, unable to hide a relieved smile. "This is exactly what we need. This key can unlock that wooden box, which contains the items to remove the curse. And this handbook, I believe it will tell us exactly what to do." 0

"What should we do now?" Amy looked at Jis with trust and reliance in her heart. 0

"First, we need to figure out the contents of the manual. Can you open it? See if there are any instructions or steps." Jis spoke with determination, as if he had known all along that it was only a matter of time. 0

Amy flipped open the manual, and every page seemed to have been eroded by time, yellowed and even some parts were blurry. She carefully found a section that detailed how to perform a curse-breaking ritual. 0

"Look here," Amy pointed to a passage, "It says to break the curse, we need three things: a branch from this tree, soil dug from beneath this house, and finally a tear from the cursed person." 0

Jis continued reading, then looked at Amy seriously. "It looks like we have a lot of work to do, and time is running out." 0

"Yes, we need to act quickly," Amy said urgently. 0

Jis walked quickly towards the corner of the house, saying, "I'll go find a tool for digging, can you go get a tree branch?" 0

"Sure," Amy immediately walked towards the giant old tree, where she found a seemingly young but sturdy enough branch, and forcefully broke it off. 0

At the same time, Jis found a shovel and dug out a piece of damp soil, carefully placing it into a small box. 0

"The last thing left is the tears of the cursed one," Jis said with a bitter smile. 0

"Are you saying you need my tears?" Amy asked with a hint of confusion. 0

Jis nodded, "Yes, it looks like I need to let myself cry for a bit." 0

He closed his eyes, pondering about his past and future being trapped here. After a while, his eyes became moist, and finally a tear fell. Amy carefully collected it in a glass bottle. 0

"Okay, we have everything we need. Next, we just need to follow the instructions in the manual for the ritual," Jis said softly. 0

They found the center of the room and placed the piece of soil, the tree branch, and the teardrop together. Then, following the instructions in the manual, they began chanting a spell. 0

At that moment, the three items suddenly emitted a beam of light, and the entire tree hollow lit up. 0

"It looks like we did it!" Amy exclaimed happily. 0

"Wait, it's not over yet." Jis suddenly became serious. "The curse has been lifted, but we still need to use this key to open that wooden box and find the item to break the curse, in order to restore everyone to their original state." 0

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Amy said nervously. 0

They quickly walked to the sealed wooden box and opened the lid with a key. A small bottle appeared before them, containing a mysterious liquid that shimmered with light. 0

"This is the key item to lift the curse. We need to sprinkle this liquid on the cursed person," Jis carefully picked up the bottle and slowly opened the lid. 0

Jis gently sprinkled the shining liquid, covering the body of each puppet. In an instant, a soft light radiated from within them, and the souls of the puppets gradually separated from their physical bodies. 0

"Is this the meaning of liberation?" Amy couldn't help but sigh. 0

"Not only that," Jis replied with a serious and resolute tone, "they have finally broken free from the shackles of this world and are able to reincarnate." 0

As they were speaking, Jis's puppet mother suddenly had a reaction. There was an incredible light in her eyes, and then her soul left her body and flew towards them. 0

The souls of other puppets also left their bodies, flying towards the ground one after another, some even shedding tears. 0

"Thank you, you have given us liberation." Jis's Puppet Mother walked up to Amy and Jis, her arms hanging low. 0

She embraced Jis, and Jis responded with a smile, "Mom, it's okay, you don't have to suffer anymore." His blue eyes sparkled in the smile, as if they had gathered years of heartache and joy. 0

Amy stood aside and witnessed this heartwarming scene, suddenly having a revelation. She took out the old silver necklace that Nick had found near the house from her pocket. Upon opening it, she found a pendant with a woman's portrait, a smiling and kind-looking face. 0

Upon careful comparison, Amy looked at Jis's Puppet Mother, and the resemblance between the two was astonishing. "So this is your necklace," Amy handed it to Jis. 0

Jis's eyes lit up, "Where did you find it? I've been looking for it for so long and couldn't find it. Thank you." He reached out to take the necklace, his face revealing a hint of complex emotions. 0

Amy asked in confusion, "Jis, can you tell me how you agreed to become puppet for the witch in the first place?" 0

Jis took a deep breath, and a hint of seriousness appeared on his puppet face. His golden hair seemed to lose its luster under the light. "This question, I've been reluctant to recall. But since you asked, I'll tell you." 0

Amy noticed the change in Jis' expression and couldn't help but feel a bit regretful, as if she had touched on his pain. But she still wanted to know more. Perhaps in this bizarre world, understanding more of the truth was the key to their survival. 0

Jis slowly opened his mouth: "Sixty years ago, I and three other kids ventured into this strange world together. At first, everything seemed perfect. The puppets were all very friendly, and there were even all kinds of tempting foods, like chocolate cake, salad, and various fresh fruits." 0

"That sounds nice, how could it..." Amy interrupted. 0

"Wait, let me finish," Jis waved her hand, interrupting her. 0

"Gradually, we began to realize that something was not quite right. There seemed to be a hidden purpose behind the smiles of the puppets, and they always avoided answering any questions we asked. Until one day, my mother was brought in here by the puppet witch. That cunning woman exploited my mother's longing for my father, using a puppet that looked exactly like my father to capture her mind, and made my mother willingly become a puppet." 0

Amy shuddered when she heard this, imagining a scenario where an adult was being manipulated in such a way, and a strong sense of unease rose in her heart. 0

"And what about you?" Amy asked nervously. 0

"I agreed to the conditions of the puppet witch in order to save my mother. I am willing to become a puppet and sacrifice my soul, as long as she doesn't harm my mother," Jis said with a bitter smile on his face. 0

Upon hearing this, Amy felt sad, but she also remembered something, "What about your father? Does he know about all of this?" 0

Jis's expression became even more solemn, "He has been doing business outside for years, only coming home once a year. By the time he found out that both my mom and I were missing, it had been over a year. He searched every possible place, even came to the small gate, but it was closed, and he only saw trees. In the end, he despaired, thinking that something might have happened to us, never knowing that we were just behind the small gate." 0

Amy felt really sad after hearing this, and wanted to change the subject, so she asked, "How come there are so many people trapped here?" 0

"That puppet witch is an extremely selfish and evil presence. She constantly seeks opportunities to turn innocent people into puppets just to enhance the evil power of this bizarre tree," revealed Jis, the Puppet Mother. "Every puppet she transforms becomes the life nourishment of this tree, indirectly making her even more powerful. She once deceived Jis with lies, telling him that if he willingly became a puppet, I would be saved. But in reality, she only temporarily restored my original human form, then, in my vulnerable state, turned me into a puppet again." 0

Jis added, "In fact, the power core of the puppet witch comes from that eerie tree closely connected to your new home. Not only that, this tree is the source of all her dark magic and sorcery." 0

Amy suddenly felt a chill run through her body and asked, "If we rescue so many people tonight, will she notice any changes?" 0

"Don't worry, Amy. As long as these puppets are still here, she won't be able to detect any changes," Jis reassured. "And this old tree is quite dull; it only absorbs the life essence of those who have been transformed into puppets." 0

Once again, a chill ran through Amy's body, and she asked, "Is there any way to put an end to all of this?" 0
