The waiter glanced at the silver name-tagged suit worn by Murong Xiuxian, then looked at Guoguo across the table, who was dressed in a white dress of an unknown brand. His gaze returned to the obviously underage Murong Xiuxian. "This bottle of Jefferson Red Wine, produced in 1784, is valued at 70,000 RMB. Sir, are you really sure you want to open it?"
"Just open it when I tell you to, stop talking so much," Murong Xiuxian kicked the table leg with the tip of his right foot.
Guoguo's face turned pale; a bottle of red wine that looked unremarkable was actually worth 70,000 RMB!
Murong Xiuxian wanted the waiter to open it—one could be rich but not wasteful like this!
What if he didn't have enough money to pay? Wouldn't that mean they were dining and dashing?!
As the waiter prepared to open it, Guoguo panicked and shouted, "Stop! Stop!"
"What’s your problem?" Murong Xiuxian asked impatiently upon seeing Guoguo's nervous and panicked expression.
"Are you really going to open it? Are you sure your head hasn't been kicked by a donkey?" Guoguo pointed at the bottle of Jefferson Red Wine. Seeing that the waiter had halted, she wiped her cold sweat and looked seriously at Murong Xiuxian.
Suppressing his anger, Murong Xiuxian replied frostily, "I never drink cheap red wine."
He then shot a glare at the trembling waiter. "Open it!"
"Yes, sir." The waiter dared not delay and immediately opened the Jefferson Red Wine, pouring about 100 ml into each glass for Guoguo and Murong Xiuxian.
Soon after, another waiter pushed a cart bringing the French Steak and Pasta that Murong Xiuxian had ordered, placing the dishes on the table. He exchanged a glance with the waiter who opened the wine before both retreated.
Guoguo glanced at the beautifully red Jefferson Red Wine in front of him and then looked at Murong Xiuxian, saying, "Is your family very wealthy?"
"Yes, my family has nothing valuable except for money," Murong Xiuxian replied with a tone that was surprisingly arrogant and unrestrained, yet carried a hint of loneliness that was hard for outsiders to detect. "I'll treat you to this meal, so just enjoy it."
Guoguo knew that Murong Xiuxian's family was rich, but he didn't expect it to be to this extent.
Not wanting to deal with wealthy people, Guoguo found himself talking to one.
If it weren't for Murong Xiuxian almost bumping into Guoguo, if Murong Xiuxian hadn't appeared at Vidorna, and if Guoguo hadn't fainted at Cemetery, they wouldn't have any intersection at all now.
