"I take quick showers, I'll go first." Guoguo put on the clean clothes that were already prepared.
A white short-sleeved shirt and a pair of blue denim shorts, simple and cool.
As the sun rose, it became scorching hot. The camphor trees lining the campus paths bent under the heat, their branches drooping lazily.
On a summer morning, the sky was a clear blue without a single cloud. The morning air was fresh but carried a hint of humidity.
The girls' dormitory had no air conditioning or fans, and Guoguo woke up from the heat.
After being punished to run yesterday and having gotten into a scuffle with Murong Xiuxian, Guoguo now felt sore all over, just short of cramping legs.
It was still early, and Guoguo didn't want to wake Han Min and Guo Jingjing. She got out of bed, put on her canvas shoes, and quietly washed her face and brushed her teeth. Taking her phone, she left the dormitory and went downstairs for a walk.
Strolling along the campus path, breathing in the fresh air, Guoguo sat down on a patch of lush green grass when she got tired and dialed a number on her phone.
After dialing again and again, she kept hearing the voice prompt: "The number you have dialed is turned off."
Guoguo was trying to call her father, Tang Zongchen. It had been several attempts, but she still couldn't reach him.
Although Guoguo hated her father, she was worried something might have happened to him.
Now that they had lost their home, her mother Li Xuemei had passed away from heart disease, and her father Tang Zongchen was missing. At just 15 years old, Guoguo truly didn't know what to do.

Feeling helpless, Guoguo stood up and prepared to return to the dormitory to wake Han Min and Guo Jingjing.
By chance, Guoguo kicked a pull-tab beverage can, and suddenly had a flash of inspiration: "I've got it!"
Guoguo inexplicably felt cheerful and skipped back to the dormitory. Passing by the bulletin board, he saw a notice offering a reward of 1000 dollars for witnesses. Guoguo looked around to confirm no one was watching, tore it down, and threw it into the trash can: "This thing is really annoying; even if you offered a million dollars, you wouldn't find any witnesses."
