Han Guowei watched Li Shuitian leave before getting into the black sedan. Not long after, the black car sped away, disappearing around the corner.
Standing at the entrance of Class One, Grade Ten on the third floor, Han Min and Guo Jingjing exchanged glances. Han Min looked worried and still questioned Han Guowei's earlier words, "It can't be true, right?"
Guo Jingjing pondered for a moment and concluded, "She's the school beauty; the school beauty shouldn't lie."
"Then it must be true." Han Min panicked. "Jingjing, let's hurry!"
As she spoke, Han Min grabbed Guo Jingjing's hand and rushed down the stairs.
The two burst out of the school gate and anxiously waited for a bus by the roadside.
As night fell, buses became scarce. After waiting for a while, Han Min and Guo Jingjing still hadn't seen a single bus passing by Beskah Hospital.
Han Min was anxious, and Guo Jingjing was worried too.
In their desperation, they hailed a taxi and urged the driver as soon as they got in, "To Beskah Hospital, quickly!"
At 11 PM, the gates of Beskah Hospital were still wide open.
Han Min and Guo Jingjing ran into Beskah Hospital.
Breathless, Han Min asked the nurse at the front desk, "Which ward is Tang Guoguo in?"
"Please wait a moment." The nurses nowadays are very polite.
Upon hearing "Please wait," Guo Jingjing, worried about Guoguo, couldn't hold back: "Nurse Sister, please check quickly."
"The patient Tang Guoguo is in Room 1." As soon as Guo Jingjing finished speaking, the nurse had already found out. "However, it is not visiting hours for family members right now. You should go back and come again tomorrow."
"What illness does Tang Guoguo have?" Not being allowed to visit made Han Min anxious. "Is it a severe cold?"
"This is beyond what I know, but the attending physician has already left for the day. You can ask the attending physician tomorrow." The nurse replied politely.
Upon hearing this, Han Min and Guo Jingjing exchanged glances, reading concern in each other's eyes.
Even though they were anxious, there was nothing they could do. The two of them walked out of Beskah Hospital together and waited by the roadside for half an hour until they finally caught a bus.
After the surgery, Guoguo woke up from anesthesia and found himself in a world of white. He saw medical equipment by his bedside and his right leg wrapped in plaster; he realized he was hospitalized.
