The three of them happily enjoyed the chocolate cake while watching a Romantic Drama.
The fifty-pound cake was half gone in just ten minutes.
It seemed that all three of them were quite the eaters.
Since the door to the hospital room was open and the TV volume was a bit loud, the nurse on duty passed by and, seeing the scene inside, realized that the patient was celebrating a birthday. Although visiting hours had ended, she did not ask the two to leave but gently reminded them, "Please lower the TV volume a bit so as not to disturb others' rest."
"Yes, we understand," the three replied in unison.
Guoguo lowered the TV volume, and the nurse walked away.
Han Min glanced at the clock hanging on the wall; it was almost eleven o'clock.
Visiting hours for family members had long passed, but Guo Jingjing seemed to have a special relationship with the hospital director. She had made arrangements in advance, and the director informed the nurse on duty, which is why they were not asked to leave.
By eleven-thirty, there was hardly any chocolate cake left, and the three of them were about to burp before they 'surrendered' and put down their forks and paper plates.
Suddenly...
A Remote-Controlled Airplane flew into One Ward carrying a beautifully packaged box about the size of a palm.
After circling above the three of them a few times, it landed in front of Guoguo.
Guoguo took down the exquisite box hanging on the Remote-Controlled Airplane and looked at Han Min and Guo Jingjing, asking in amazement, "Is this also a surprise from you?"
"No," Han Min and Guo Jingjing shook their heads in denial.
"Really not?" Guoguo was skeptical.
"Of course not. We are empty-handed. Which of your eyes saw me controlling this Remote-Controlled Airplane?" Han Min shrugged and glanced at Guo Jingjing, who was also empty-handed.
At this moment, Guoguo finally realized.
It turns out that even the smartest people can be confused sometimes: "I have limited mobility, so you guys go help me see who is controlling this Remote-Controlled Airplane outside and sending the gift."
Han Min and Guo Jingjing exchanged glances and nodded in agreement, then walked out of the hospital room in a few steps.
In the corridor, they looked around, walking back and forth along the hallway. Apart from the duty nurse, the duty doctor, and patients dressed in blue hospital gowns, there was no one else.
