The moonlight illuminated the ancient and intricate Puppet family hall, with layers of cobwebs covering the paintings hanging high above, depicting past members of the Puppet family. 0

The two led their absent-minded parents to this eerie place, even though Amy's compass still pointed forward in her hand, she couldn't shake the feeling that everything was too simple. 0

"Do you also feel that something is wrong here, right?" Nick asked in a low voice. 0

"Yes, something feels off. We should be careful," Amy reminded herself silently, keeping an eye on everything around her and watching the compass warily. 0

At the end of the corridor, they found a huge wooden door decorated with mysterious symbols and intricate patterns. There was a uniquely shaped keyhole at the entrance. 0

"Look at that keyhole, it seems like it needs a special key to open," Nick pointed out. 0

Amy tightly grasped the compass and suddenly felt a slight vibration, as if guiding her to make a decision. 0

"I think we should go in. This may be the only way to cut off the evil power source of the old tree and Puppet Mother," Amy bit her lip, aiming the key to lift the curse at the keyhole. 0

Amy suddenly thought of the puppet necklace that Jis gave her, and upon taking a closer look, she discovered that the bottom of the necklace seemed to be a mini key. 0

After a moment's hesitation, she stepped forward and inserted it into the peculiar keyhole. The door hummed and slowly swung open. 0

"Wow, how did you know that would work?" Nick asked in amazement. 0

"Sometimes, intuition is more effective than anything else." Amy felt secretly grateful, but at the same time, more cautious. 0

They led their frail parents into the room behind the door, which was completely different from the hall, more like a luxurious banquet hall. 0

On the long table were various delicious foods and gold and silver utensils, while by the fireplace there were luxurious sofas and coffee tables. 0

"This is all too perfect, completely unlike what a strange puppet world should be like," Nick said alertly. 0

"I know, it's unsettling," Amy said, while observing every corner of the room as if searching for something. 0

Just then, a puppet emerged from a door next to the fireplace. This puppet was unlike any they had seen before. It appeared very tall and perfect, dressed in a black suit with white gloves, resembling a butler. 0

"Welcome to our home, I am the butler here, Patrick," said the butler, Puppet, politely. 0

"Whose guests are we?" asked Amy, trying to maintain a calm exterior but feeling very nervous inside. 0

"You are the most honored guests, of course invited by our host - Puppet Mother," Patrick replied. 0

Patrick smiled and pointed to the sofa by the fireplace, "Please, have a seat and rest for a while. I will bring you some tea and snacks." 0

Amy and Nick locked eyes, both able to see the doubt and unease in each other's eyes. However, considering the current situation, they chose to sit down first. 0

Before long, Patrick brought a pot of hot tea and several delicate snacks, placed them on the coffee table, and then retreated. 0

"All of this is too bizarre, we need to find a way to get out of here quickly," Nick said in a low voice. 0

"Yes, but we also need more information to know how to rescue our parents." 0

Amy looked at the compass in her hand and found that the needle was deviating from the correct direction. "I feel like things here are not simple, there might be some force manipulating everything." 0

"Maybe it's that eerie big tree," Nick added, with a serious expression. 0

At that moment, Patrick walked back in, holding an ancient scroll in his hands. 0

"I hope this can be helpful to you," he said with a smile, handing the scroll to Amy. 0

Amy nervously took the scroll and slowly unfolded it, revealing some text and strange symbols written in an ancient language. 0

"This is a contract that details how to break the curse and control of Puppet Mother, but it comes with a price," Patrick explained with a smile, a hint of mystery and the unknown mixed in his expression. 0

"What price?" Nick asked in confusion. 0

Patrick's expression turned serious, "You must never return to this world after fulfilling all the conditions, and you cannot tell anyone about anything here." 0

Amy seemed pensive, then turned to Nick and said, "I feel like we have no choice. We have to trust him." 0

Nick looked around the luxurious banquet hall, then glanced at their frail parents, and finally nodded. 0

"Alright, we accept," Amy said decisively to Patrick. 0

Patrick explained the contents of the scroll and the tasks that need to be completed next in detail. The parchment in his hand was unfolded, and the elegant handwriting and intricate patterns seemed to tell the history and secrets of another world. 0

"The key is to use the spells taught here on a specific time, to cast a spell on Puppet Mother. Then, we need to find the core of this puppet world— the heart of that big tree, and destroy it. Only then will Puppet Mother lose all her power, and this world will return to normal." 0

Amy and Nick listened carefully, feeling the pressure gradually rising in their hearts, their faces becoming serious. The air seemed to be filled with tension and unease, but they both knew that this was their only chance. 0

"Why are you helping us?" Amy couldn't help but ask the doubt in her heart. 0

Patrick silently looked into the distance, with a melancholic and contemplative expression: "I was once a puppet created by Margaret, she gave me life and thoughts. But in her pursuit of perfection, she ultimately chose a wrong path, even resorting to using humans to make puppets. I originally had no emotions, just a part of this world, but seeing my master fall so low, I had to take action. I don't want to see more humans suffer, and I hope she can wake up and return to her original self." 0

After saying these words, Patrick turned and walked towards the depths of the forest. His puppet body cast a long shadow in the sunlight, as if that shadow also concealed his unknown past and mission. 0

Amy took a deep breath, carefully rolled up the scroll, and then exchanged a determined look with Nick. 0

"Are you ready, Nick?" Amy asked encouragingly. 0

"Since this is our only chance, we can only move forward bravely!" A determined light flashed in Nick's eyes. 0

Amy carefully put away the scroll, took a glance at Nick and their weak parents, took a deep breath, and prepared herself mentally for the upcoming challenge. 0

"We can do it, Nick," Amy said. 0

"I know, sister. We will definitely succeed," Nick responded firmly. 0

The two began preparing spells and other necessary items. Amy carefully studied the runes on the scroll, trying to fully grasp their meaning. She felt a deep magic flowing within the scroll, like a force guiding them forward. 0
