Under a cover of smoke and debris, Inuyasha and his team stood there, panting, their eyes filled with exhaustion but also a hint of victorious joy. They thought it was all finally over, but at that moment, a sinister laughter echoed through the entire battlefield.
Kaede emerged, covered in wounds, her right hand and left foot nowhere to be seen, but her gaze was even more resolute and malevolent than before.
"You actually managed to hurt me like this, but it doesn't matter. I should thank you instead, because this has allowed me to successfully merge the souls of the witch and the monster."
As soon as she finished speaking, a dark power began to emanate from her body. Her face contorted, turning into a completely different person, and her broken arms and legs miraculously grew back. Her eyes changed from brown to deep purple, and the gem in her throat began to emit a strange purple light.
"Not good, her demonic aura is much stronger than before!" Inuyasha gritted his teeth, tightly gripping the Tessaiga.
Kagome stared at Kaede's leaf, especially the gem emitting a purple light, her expression became very serious: "This aura, it's almost similar to the Shikon Jewel!"
Bosaku Sei wrinkled his brow and asked, "Shikon Jewel is what? Why have I never heard of it?"
Kagome explained seriously, "Shikon Jewel is a jewel with immense power. It is said to have the ability to grant the holder nearly infinite energy. If the jewel on Kaede has any connection to Shikon Jewel, then she will become very, very dangerous."
Sesshomaru walked over, his gaze colder and more intense than usual: "It seems that this matter is far more complicated than we initially imagined."
Kaede laughed maniacally, seeming to relish the moment: "The current me is no longer something you can handle."
Inuyasha sneered, "What am I even dealing with? This energy is so weak, it can't compare to the Shikon Jewel from back then. I could easily handle you with just a single Wind Scar."
Kaede smirked, "Indeed, this gem can't compare to the Shikon Jewel from back then. The one I have now, at best, can only be considered a Jewel of Four Souls. But even so, you are no match for us."
"One soul jade?" Kagome exclaimed.
Bosaku Sei tightly gripped his sword, feeling a powerful demon aura emanating from Kaede's body. His sword trembled slightly, seemingly unsettled by this sudden change.
As soon as the words fell, Kaede raised her hand, and a dark energy shot out from her palm, heading straight for Inuyasha. Inuyasha quickly swung the Tessaiga, sending out a burst of energy that rebounded the dark energy back.
Bosaku Sei saw the situation and immediately swung his sword towards Kaede Leaf, the sword light flashing with his own spiritual power. Kaede Leaf coldly chuckled and easily dodged his attack.
"You think you can hurt me with just that?" Kaede Leaf said disdainfully.
At that moment, Sesshomaru appeared behind her and coldly said, "Crimson Dragon Strike!"
A blue dragon burst forth from his sword, directly colliding with Kaede leaf. Kaede leaf was sent flying and crashed heavily to the ground.
"How is this possible... How could I lose?" Kaede struggled to stand up, then unleashed another wave of dark energy.
Bosaku Sei made a decision, swung his sword, and infused it with spiritual power. "No matter what, I will defeat you!"
He rushed towards Kaede, his sword intertwining with the demonic energy, emitting a flash. Kaede waved her hand, and a black demonic energy directly blocked Bosaku Sei's attack. But Bosaku Sei immediately used the spiritual power of his sword to create a small whirlwind, forcing Kaede to retreat.
Inuyasha was also not idle, he wielded the Tessaiga to unleash "Wind Scar," attempting to weaken Kaede's demonic energy barrier. But Kaede seemed prepared, she smiled, and the demonic energy barrier rebounded Inuyasha's attack.
"This is impossible!" Inuyasha exclaimed.
At this moment, Sesshomaru coldly observed and finally decided to intervene. He swung Tenseiga and unleashed "Soryuha." A bright blue dragon radiated from Tenseiga, heading straight for Kaede. Kaede attempted to defend herself with demonic energy, but the power of Soryuha was too strong, piercing through her defense.
Kaede showed a terrified expression, feeling such danger for the first time.
Bosaku Sei took the opportunity to launch another attack, using all his spiritual power, his sword flashing, aiming directly at Kaede's vital point.
"It's over, Kaede Leaf!"
The sword light and Kaede Leaf's demon energy violently collided, creating a huge pillar of light that illuminated the entire battlefield.
"Kaede's scream gradually disappeared into the light column.
"Don't... be too pleased. We still have other companions, and they will eventually successfully merge the Shikon Jewel... Haha," Kaede laughed maniacally, starting to speak more softly.
After the pillar of light disappeared, only the leaves of Kaede were gone, leaving behind a ground full of black demonic energy and an irregular gemstone covered in black miasma.
Bosaku Sei swung his sword and used his spiritual power to purify the remaining demonic energy. He said wearily but firmly, "This time, it's finally truly over."
Inuyasha and Sesshomaru looked at each other and saw the admiration in each other's eyes.
"Well done, Inuyasha," Sesshomaru said calmly.
"You too, Sesshomaru. If it weren't for your 'So'unga,' we might have had to fight a while longer," Inuyasha also didn't hesitate to praise."
Kagome gently picked up the irregular gem and felt the black miasma clinging to it. She aimed her arrow at the gem and purified it with her own spiritual power.
The gem emitted a bright light, the miasma cleared, revealing its original appearance - a bright purple gem, somewhat similar to the Shikon Jewel.
"The appearance of this thing... may be part of a larger conspiracy," Kagome mused.
Sesshomaru walked over, glanced at the purified jewel, and said, "Kaede's words may hold some truth. We need to be more vigilant."
Bosaku Sei also walked over and said to Kagome, "You should keep this gem safe. Who knows, it might be the key to unlocking all the mysteries."
Inuyasha muttered at this time, "But before that, we should find a place to rest. This battle has taken a lot of energy."

"You didn't exert much effort, so no need to rest," Inuyasha glanced at the Shippo on his shoulder and then flicked them off with his hand.
The crowd decided to return to the village, to rest first and prepare for possible new challenges. But just then, a strange light suddenly appeared in the distant sky, its shape resembling that of a gem.
"It seems that things are not over yet," Sesshomaru said lightly, a barely noticeable tension flashing in his eyes.
"Yes, this is just the beginning." Bosaku Sei put away his sword again, looking at the distant light, silently vowing in his heart that no matter what happens next, he will face it.
Inuyasha tightly grasped the Tessaiga, the legendary demon sword exuding a suffocating atmosphere. Kagome also refused to back down, holding the sacred arrow with a serious expression, its tip shimmering with a faint light. Their eyes met, no need for words, everything was already clear.
"Let's head to the place where that purple light appeared tomorrow." Inuyasha's voice was resolute, leaving no room for doubt.
You unfolded the map in her hand, took a deep breath, and pointed to a location as she explained, "That direction should be within the borders of Peach Blossom Country, more precisely, it's the direction of Flowers Village."
Then she hesitated for a moment, seemingly weighing her words, and finally said, "If you don't mind, we could rest at our Yukionna Clan for the night, and continue our journey tomorrow without delay."
Kagome's eyes lit up, unable to contain her excitement as she responded, "Great, let's go!"
You's gaze slid over Sesshomaru and Bosaku Sei's faces, smiling as she reminded, "But just in case, it's better to disguise ourselves. People from the Yukionna Clan tend to be attracted to handsome men."
Inuyasha's brows instantly furrowed, his mouth twitching, "Hey! Rude, I'm here too!"
Kagome She flashed a smile and said with authority, "Please have a seat."
As the crowd stepped into the territory of the Yukionna Clan, a magnificent ice palace gradually appeared before their eyes.
The palace, constructed of ice and snow, shimmered in the sunlight, as if it were made of countless diamonds. The people of the Yukionna Clan came out to greet them, and at first sight of the blue diamond-shaped mark on You's forehead, they all respectfully bowed to her.
"Welcome back, my lord," an elderly Yukionna bowed deeply.
Kagome and Rin were particularly excited to see these Yukionna. Each one was as beautiful as the legends, with skin as white as snow, dressed in long white robes, and hair in a dreamy shade of blue.

"Unusual things? Are you referring to that purple light?" The elder Yukionna suddenly became serious.
You nodded and said in a heavy tone, "Exactly, that purple light has been worrying me. Our Yukionna clan is now inescapable. Since my mother—Ice Frost Fairy—passed away, she transferred the generational inheritance ability within the clan to me."
"I might become the next target. If that's the case, I might choose to leave temporarily to prevent disaster from striking the Yukionna Clan again. After all, our current numbers are less than half of what they used to be at our peak…"
The elder Yukionna listened solemnly and asked, "Should we prepare for battle?"
