The vast and mighty team finally arrived at their destination.
Near the Siberian Road, the area is dominated by towering mountains that seem to reach the clouds. Each peak looks as if it has been cut and split by a knife, steep and imposing. The wind howls here, and the scent of thunder and lightning permeates the air, as if warning all who come that this is not a place easily ventured into by ordinary people.
The sky was shrouded in oppressive dark clouds, and the air was filled with a chilling cold. Sophia and Morris felt a sense of foreboding, as if countless eyes were secretly watching them.
As they got closer to their destination, Sophia and Morris closely followed the group, each tightly gripping their respective weapons - a staff named "Key of the Celestial Realm" and a dagger called "Shadowfang."
Both of them looked wary, their blue eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Morris whispered to Sophia.
"I feel the same way. This thunderous atmosphere... it's like there's a powerful sorcerer nearby." Sophia felt a sinking feeling in her heart.
Just then, a loud sound pierced through the air, and several bolts of lightning descended from the sky, directly blocking their path forward.
A figure descended from the sky and landed gracefully in the center of the lightning. This person is the principal of Noah Academy, Seris. His arrival seemed premeditated, with the appearance of someone who had been waiting for a long time.
"Sophia, Morris, I finally got you," Seris said with a smirk.
Shortly after, two more figures quickly descended. One was the headmaster of the Magic Academy, Leona, and the other was the headmaster of the Martial Arts Academy, Gray. Their eyes were determined, and behind them followed the elite forces of the Three Empires.
With a wave of her hand, Seris had a group of people bring out the parents of the two young people. Seeing this scene, the faces of Sophia and Morris both turned pale.
Seris said in a deep voice, "Morris, Sophia, you are suspected of endangering the security of Noah Continent. Now, put down your weapons and take responsibility for the consequences!"
"Even our parents have been implicated by you. Is this your idea of justice?" Morris said angrily.
"We don't want this either, but it's necessary," Leona said.
Sophia and Morris exchanged a determined look, seeing the resolve in each other's eyes.
"Our children are not ominous beings, we firmly believe they are innocent." Sophia and Morris's parents looked at them with unwavering determination, not regretting it at all.
"We don't think they are bad people, and they just protected us!" The team captain also spoke up.
"Yes, they are not the kind of people you said!" Other team members also stood up one after another.
"You have all been deceived by appearances. The scroll given to us by the elf leader clearly states that they possess the power to destroy the world," Seris said coldly as she looked at them.
Following that, Seris and the others began to cast a powerful magic circle, trapping Sophia and Morris within it. They tried to resist, but found their powers gradually suppressed.
Sophia took a deep breath, deciding to unleash the elemental power within her "Wanderer of the Mist" mage robe at this critical moment. In an instant, a thick mist burst forth from her body, almost enveloping the entire area.
"Now!" Sophia's voice echoed in the tense atmosphere, as if it had activated a hidden switch.
Morris immediately wielded the "Spear Sword of the Storm" and transmitted the power of lightning into the bodies of the enemies. Most of the enemies were immobilized, but three high-level mages and a knight were able to resist.
Ris acted without hesitation, wielding the "Spear Sword of the Storm" that shimmered with lightning. A high-voltage attack burst from the tip of the sword, piercing through the air and shooting towards the enemy at an astonishing speed. What it left on them was not just scorch marks, but also their faces filled with unending terror.
Most of the enemies were thus immobilized, as if they had been stunned by electricity. At this moment, Sophia raised the "Key of the Celestial Realm" staff and, using its magical amplification effect, instantly drew a luminous spell on the ground.
"Seal!" she muttered under her breath, and the tip of her staff instantly released a dazzling light, immobilizing the motionless enemies in place as if they were bound by invisible chains.
Seris, Leona, and Greg, these high-level mages and swordsmen, all looked very serious. They hadn't expected these two young people to demonstrate such astonishing strength and coordination.
"Who are they, really?" Seris asked Leona in a low voice.
Leona shook her head. "I don't know, but they are obviously not ordinary people."
"Whoever it is, in front of the Nine Star Mage of Heavenly Steps, they are useless. Let me end this all!" Seris waved the Thundering Staff in her hand and launched a fierce attack on Sophia and Morris.
Sophia and Morris exchanged a glance, then simultaneously waved their weapons. Despite the surging power, radiance shone everywhere.
Seris has sharp eyes and doesn't hesitate at all. He raises his Thunder Staff high, and suddenly dark clouds gather, a bolt of lightning streaks across the sky, heading straight towards the two. This move is not only precise but also extremely destructive.
"Be careful!" Sophia shouts, already prepared to release her ice wall magic at the right moment.
Morris quickly came up with a plan, using Shadowfang to create a shadow barrier that absorbed some of the lightning's energy. At the same time, Sophia finished chanting her spell, and with a wave of her staff, she conjured a shining light shield that completely blocked the remaining lightning.
But Seris' onslaught was not over yet. With a loud shout, he ignited the thunder staff once more, this time forming a thunderstorm with powerful destructive force, sweeping towards them.
Sophia bit her lip, knowing that relying solely on defense was not enough. She waved the Key of the Celestial Realm and cast a magic of attribute selection, choosing the water attribute, then quickly chanting. The Wrath of Poseidon shone in her hand, and a huge column of water instantly rose from the ground, colliding with the thunderous storm.
A tremendous roar resounded as the column of water and the thunderous storm intertwined in the air, generating immense pressure and impact, and the two forces canceled each other out in an instant.
