In a remote alley, shadows enveloped every corner.
A man stood there, his face handsome, almost perfect, but devoid of any humanity in his eyes. He was a parasite.
He looked at the woman he had just devoured, a woman named Tomomi. She was originally fat and rosy-cheeked, but now her upper body had become a scattered corpse, almost unrecognizable as human.
"Hehe, this human was truly delicious this time," the parasite man said with satisfaction.
Looking back an hour ago, the parasite man was sitting in an izakaya. His sharp gaze swept over every female customer, finally landing on Tomomi.
"Did you come alone?" He walked over with a charming smile.
Tomomi hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Yeah, my friends all had plans today, so I came alone."
"That's a coincidence, I am too," the man said as he sat down, smiling at Tomomi.
"What a coincidence," Tomomi smiled back at him.
"By the way, my name is Kenjiro. And yours?"
"I'm Tomomi."
"Tomomi, this name suits you well."
In just a few minutes, Kenjiro and Tomomi started chatting like old friends. He easily got Tomomi to have a few drinks and then suggested, "How about going outside for a walk? It's a bit crowded in here."
Tomomi nodded slightly and said, "Sure, where should we go?"
"I know a great place nearby."
They walked into an alley, which was a stark contrast to the bustling main street.
"Why did we come here?" Tomomi began to feel something was not right.
"Don't worry, we're almost there," Kenjiro said with a smile.
Just as Tomomi was about to turn and leave, Kenjiro's body suddenly underwent a transformation. His hand turned into a sharp blade, instantly piercing into Tomomi's body.
"I'm sorry, Tomomi. But this is the law of survival," Kenjiro said coldly, then began gnawing on Tomomi's body.
Kenjiro (parasite) thought this would be a simple hunting process, but a sudden accident caught him completely off guard.
As he was enjoying the pleasure of gnawing on Tomomi's body, a potted plant suddenly fell and hit him on the head. With a bang, he immediately felt dizzy and fell to the ground.
"Who is it?!" he roared, but his voice had become so weak that it was almost inaudible.
On the balcony of the high building, a little boy was standing there, with soil from the accidentally dropped potted plant on his hands. He was pale with fear and trembling all over.
Kenjiro struggled to stand up, but found that his body wouldn't move.
His head was bleeding, and he had symptoms of broken neck and legs, with bones piercing his internal organs, causing multiple internal bleedings.
"This is it, this body is beyond saving." He calmly assessed his situation and then turned to look at Tomomi beside him.
Tomomi's upper body had been eaten to a bloody pulp, no longer usable for transfer.
Kenjiro felt a wave of despair, knowing that he had truly reached a dead end this time.
"If I could start over, I would definitely be more careful," he silently said to himself.
Kenjiro He thought this was his last moment, but suddenly he heard footsteps coming from a distance. A man hurriedly walked by, as if he had heard the commotion here.
"Help... save me... can anyone save me..." Kenjiro shouted with all his might.
The man's pace slowed down, as if hesitating whether to come over or not.
At that moment, on the balcony of the tall building, the little boy suddenly shouted, "Don't go over there! It's dangerous!"
Kenjiro felt a surge of anger and wanted to eat that little boy up.
But at the same time, he knew it was the only chance to survive.
So the boy's warning came too late.
"I don't care, anyway, it's just death. Let's go for it!"
Kenjiro Enduring intense pain, resolutely detached from his original scarred body and lunged towards the man.
In an instant, his body turned into two sharp blades, and one of them chopped off the man's head, taking over his body directly.
The man's body stiffened for a moment, then gradually relaxed.
Kenjiro successfully transferred to the past, feeling waves of power returning to his body. He stood up, shook his head, and regarded everything that had just happened as a fleeting moment.
"This body is not bad, at least much better than the one just now." Kenjiro secretly evaluated in his heart.
He turned his head to look at the old body he had abandoned, and the woman he had originally intended to use as food.
Nothing matters anymore. The most important thing now is to leave here, temporarily disguise as this person, and lay low for a while. Then, dispose of the body, destroy the evidence, and leave.
Before leaving, Kenjiro (who is now that man) glanced at the little boy upstairs, made a "killing" gesture, and smiled strangely.
He turned and walked out of the alley, blending into the night and disappearing without a trace.
Meanwhile, the little boy on the high building was still standing there, staring at everything that had just happened, and suddenly his legs went weak and he fell to the ground.
At half past midnight, Shinichi was still deep in sleep when he was suddenly awakened by Right.
Right urgently said, "Shinichi, wake up! There's a fellow being approaching us."
Shinichi, who was still half asleep, instantly woke up upon hearing the second half of the sentence.
"Thank goodness Mom and Dad are not at home right now, otherwise the consequences would be unthinkable." Shinichi secretly rejoiced.
Shinichi quickly jumped out of bed and hurried to the kitchen while putting on slippers.
"How far are we now?" Shinichi asked Right.
Right: "There's about 300 meters left, and the speed is very fast. You need to get ready quickly."
Shinichi opened the kitchen drawer and quickly took out a kitchen knife, hiding it behind his back.
"Are you sure he will come here?" Shinichi asked.
"Right: "There's a 99% chance he's heading directly in this direction."
Shinichi gritted his teeth, determined to solve the problem this time. He walked to the door, picked up a key, and locked the door.
"At least this will buy me a few more seconds," Shinichi muttered to himself.
Right: "One hundred meters away, get ready mentally."
Shinichi took a deep breath, tightly gripping the knife in his hand, with a determined look in his eyes.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps outside the door, getting closer and closer.
"Here they come!" he said nervously.
Shinichi immediately stood on one side of the door, ready to act at any moment. He heard the door being gently pushed, followed by the sound of someone searching for the key.
"Why does it have the key to my house?" he wondered.
Just as the countdown reached zero and the door was about to open, it was suddenly pushed open forcefully. Shinichi immediately swung his sword to strike, but the opponent reacted extremely quickly and skillfully avoided his attack.
Shinichi's gaze froze for a moment, and standing in front of him was actually his father, Izumi Kazuyuki. His heart raced, and his whole body was engulfed in an indescribable shock.
"Dad?" Shinichi asked with a trembling voice, a look of disbelief on his face.
"Shinichi, he is no longer your father, don't hesitate!" Right warned him in an urgent and resolute tone.
The kitchen knife in Shinichi's hand trembled slightly, and he couldn't accept this cruel reality. "It's impossible. I just talked to my dad on the phone, how could he change like this as soon as he came home?"
Standing at the doorway, Izumi Kazuyuki said expressionlessly, "I originally wanted to temporarily hide in this identity, but I didn't expect this family to have a companion, and it's a kind that only parasitizes on the hand, not occupying the brain."
This sentence cut Shinichi to the heart, and he could hardly control his emotions. "Dad, are you joking with me?"
"Shinichi, he has taken over your father's mind, you must wake up!" Right shouted anxiously.
"My hand? I wanted to tell you earlier, but you would have been scared, right?" Shinichi still couldn't accept the reality, muttering to himself.
"Shinichi, that's not right!" Right reminded again.
"You're so annoying!" Shinichi shouted angrily at Right, with a hint of determination in his eyes.
"Shinichi, move the kitchen knife away. I can't attack like this," Right pointed out nervously.
Shinichi gripped the handle tightly, eyes reddening, and choked out, "No, you can't attack my dad!"
"Dad, I know a talking hand sounds strange, but you must think it's just a puppet, right?" Shinichi tried to explain.
"You're really unlucky, not being able to take over the brain and still being dragged down by such an emotional person," the man with the face of Izumi Kazuyuki said with a cold laugh.
"Shinichi, wake up, your dad is no longer..." Right tried to wake him up again.
"Shut up! Shut up! You're the monster!" Shinichi angrily interrupted Right.
"If you say one more word, I'll cut you off from my hand!" Shinichi said as he brought the kitchen knife closer to his Right hand, making a gesture as if to cut it off.
"Shinichi, you..." Right didn't finish his sentence before being startled by Shinichi's actions.
Shinichi indeed drew a bloodstain on his own Right hand, proving that his words just now were not empty talk.
"Dad, did you see that? This is not funny at all. Please stop joking with me, okay?" Shinichi's eyes were filled with tears, and his voice became choked up.
"Unfortunately, kid, I am no longer your dad." The man said in a cold and merciless tone. His face and voice resembled Shinichi's father, Izumi Kazuyuki, but his eyes were unfamiliar and indifferent.
As soon as the words fell, his face suddenly contorted, changing like liquid metal, and quickly extended a sharp blade.
In an instant, this living blade stabbed towards Shinichi's heart.
"Dad!" Shinichi's eyes instantly filled with tears, his voice filled with shock and disbelief.
"Shinichi, get down!" Right suddenly let out a sharp cry, his voice filled with extreme urgency.
Shinichi The kitchen knife he was holding tightly slipped from his hand in shock and loss of control, falling to the floor with a loud clang. Then, Shinichi lost his balance and fell. His body hit the ground hard, and the floor was immediately stained a shocking red with blood.
Blood quickly flowed from his heart, bearing witness to the tragedy alongside the fallen kitchen knife.
"Once a human heart is pierced, there's basically no chance of survival," the man said coldly, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
"In a few minutes, you will also die. Because you are a failure who couldn't take over the brain, so just wait to die obediently," he continued to mock, then turned and walked out of the room.
The whole room was filled with a suffocating tension.
Shinichi fell to the ground, his eyes blankly staring at the ceiling, filled with unbearable pain and loss. Then he felt the darkness closing in, until finally, he lost consciousness.
