The man in white was momentarily stunned but ultimately did not argue. He bent down to lift the kneeling Wife, gently saying, "Wife, don't be afraid, take your time. What exactly happened?" 0

Unexpectedly, the Wife rolled her eyes back and her body went limp, fainting. 0

The man in white was startled, allowing the Wife to hang on his arm, his face filled with confusion. The man in black frowned, showing a hint of impatience as he rushed over and pinched the Wife's acupoint, saying, "Wake up! Where are the others?" 0

"Bai Yunsheng, stop shaking her. Let me take a look." 0

As the two men were at a loss, they suddenly heard a captivating voice nearby. 0

The man in white looked up in surprise, "Consort Qin?" 0

Qin Yaru slightly nodded and greeted them. She walked over to help the young woman sit up, lifted her eyelids to check, and then felt her pulse. Seeing that she was not seriously harmed, she finally sighed in relief. "Don't worry; it's just an emotional outburst." 0

With that, Qin Yaru took out a white porcelain medicine bottle from her medical kit, opened the lid, and immediately a refreshing minty fragrance wafted through the air, invigorating both Bai Yunsheng and the man in black. 0

She waved the bottle in front of the Wife's nose, and the Wife groaned softly before waking up. 0

Once awake, the Wife's eyes were initially hazy but quickly regained clarity as she shouted loudly, "Please save my sisters!" 0

The man in black barked sternly, "Where are they?" 0

"They're... they're... I’ll take you there." The Wife clearly did not know the names of places but had a good sense of direction. Without caring about any potential danger, she stood up and grabbed the sleeve of the man in black, rushing through the alley towards the east side of the street. In just a blink of an eye, it turned into the man in black dragging her along. 0

Bai Yunsheng loosely held onto Qin Yaru's arm with one hand while cradling Da Lang with the other, whispering, "I apologize for this!" 0

Immediately after, Qin Yaru felt herself lighten and involuntarily flew forward, experiencing a sensation akin to riding on clouds as a gust of cold wind hit her face, nearly taking her breath away. 0

Clearly, those watching nearby had also vaguely realized that they had encountered kidnappers. Passersby hurriedly made way while several burly men indignantly picked up nearby kitchen knives and carrying poles to follow after the four individuals. However, their speed was evidently no match for Bai Yunsheng and his companions; soon enough, they could no longer keep up. 0

In what felt like an instant, Qin Yaru noticed that they had stopped in front of a secluded courtyard. The Wife was crying profusely as she shouted, "It's right here!" 0

Bai Yunsheng did not say a word and kicked the heavy black door, which fell with a loud crash. The man in black gently pushed Wife and Qin Yaru, causing them to involuntarily step back a few paces onto the street. 0

Qin Yaru was still in shock when she saw two figures, one black and one white, rush into the courtyard. Soon after, a cacophony of sounds erupted from inside, filled with cries and chaos. 0

Da Lang excitedly grabbed his mother's hand, biting his lip. Qin Yaru shook her head helplessly—this child still had some violent tendencies! 0

In no more than half a moment, or perhaps even less, the noise from inside gradually subsided, and even the sounds of groaning became faint. Bai Yunsheng burst out of the door and called to Qin Yaru: “Consort Qin, Wife, come in!” 0

The woman seemed very frightened, clutching Qin Yaru's sleeve tightly, but still bravely stepped forward as if prepared to face death and entered through the large door. 0

As soon as they entered, Qin Yaru felt a sharp pain in her head! 0

The place was a mess; the stone floor was littered with elongated bodies that were indistinguishable as either human or ghost. Some were bleeding profusely with broken limbs, while others were so battered that even their parents wouldn't recognize them. 0

Qin Yaru glanced around briefly. With her years of training under Gao Feng, she had developed a sensitivity to numbers and estimated there were about ten people. The Wife was so scared she closed her eyes; Da Lang was better off but still looked somewhat pale. Qin Yaru had no choice but to instruct Da Lang to stay close and reached out to pull the Wife inside. 0

The situation inside was much better; four burly men lay on the ground, but it was clear they had only been knocked unconscious and had not suffered too much harm. 0

As soon as they entered, the man in black standing at the door frowned at Bai Yunsheng and said, “Your methods are too ruthless; you have caused injuries. If Master were still alive, he would certainly teach you a lesson!” 0

Bai Yunsheng immediately became furious and retorted, “Who are you putting on a show for? I don’t need you to teach me! They are just a few human traffickers who have harmed countless innocent women; it would be light punishment to skin them alive. You, a traitor who betrays your master, still have the nerve to mention him?” 0

The man in black remained silent, but Bai Yunsheng grew increasingly angry, ready to take action. 0

While the two argued, the Wife, who had been clutching Qin Yaru's clothing, could no longer hold back and ran upstairs. Soon after, loud cries echoed from above. 0

Qin Yaru felt a pang of discomfort in her heart mixed with a bit of panic, but she showed no signs of it on her face and slowly ascended the stairs. 0

Upstairs, the room was crowded with sixteen Wife, ranging from eighteen or nineteen years old to as young as seven or eight. Each one looked delicate, many dressed in silk garments. 0

These Wife huddled together, tears streaming down their faces. Qin Yaru carefully examined them all; her expression changed repeatedly—first she sighed in relief but then felt a sense of disappointment. 0

Leading Bai Yunsheng and the others, the Wife they brought in finally stopped crying after being comforted for a long time. This group of distressed Wife managed to calm down. 0

Qin Yaru took a general look and saw that they had not suffered serious injuries. After all, human traffickers worked hard to abduct people, so they naturally wanted to sell them at a good price. They would take good care of these girls rather than harm them carelessly. 0

After instructing them to take care of themselves, Qin Yaru went downstairs, preparing to report to the authorities. With a total of sixteen Wife, finding shelter was a big problem, so it was better to let the Official Authorities handle it. 0

As she descended the stairs, she saw Bai Yunsheng looking agitated for some reason. Suddenly, he reached out and forcefully pushed the man in black. The man did not dodge and actually staggered a few steps before falling straight down due to Bai Yunsheng's push! 0

Qin Yaru was startled; behind the man in black was a mahogany table with a vase on it. If he fell and hit the back of his head, it wouldn't be a joke—he could be seriously injured or even killed. 0

Bai Yunsheng was clearly shocked as well. Instinctively, he acted but did not catch the man in black. Instead, he drew his sword and slashed at the mahogany table, turning it into wooden strips, and the vase flew far away. 0

With a loud crash, the man in black fell to the ground. Qin Yaru shrank back—just this fall could break an ordinary person's bones! 0

After staring blankly for a moment and seeing that Bai Yunsheng showed no sign of movement, Qin Yaru couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time: "No matter what grievances you have, isn't it right to lend a hand?" 0

Bai Yunsheng coughed lightly twice, stood with his hands behind his back, raised an eyebrow, and coldly said: "I'm afraid of getting my hands dirty." 0
