After the dramatic confrontation with Azansos, the moods of Morris, Sophia, and Thanos all seemed a bit tense. They continued to traverse the Siberian Road, considered the most dangerous place on the continent. Led by the nine-star Dragonkin demon Thanos, they passed through narrow stone pathways, past wreckage, and ponds frozen in eternal cold.
Suddenly, an oppressive atmosphere enveloped the entire space. Morris's blue eyes instantly became deep, feeling his magic being suppressed by some unknown force. Sophia also tightly grasped her "Key of the Celestial Realm" staff, feeling waves of chill.
Thanos let out a low growl, a warning glint flashing in its emerald eyes. Just then, the three of them arrived at a bottomless pit.
"What is this..." Sophia turned to Morris, her blue eyes filled with doubt and concern.
"I'm not sure either, but I can feel... there's an extremely evil aura here." Morris shook his head, his tone becoming unusually serious.
In front of them appeared a bottomless pit, its dark depths revealing a sinister silhouette.
Just as they hesitated, a wild tornado suddenly swept up from the deep pit, instantly sucking away all the light and engulfing the two of them in the tornado. This sudden turn of events left them almost no time to react.
"Grab onto something!" Morris urgently shouted, instantly plunging his "Shadowfang" dagger into a nearby stone pillar.
Sophia quickly caught up, securing her "Dawn Messenger Short Sword" firmly on another stone pillar. Thanos tightly grasped a protruding rock with his massive claw, but even he seemed to struggle.
Attempting to cast magic, Sophia suddenly found herself unable to concentrate. Morris also tried several times, only to find that his magical flow was completely blocked.
"The air here seems to be suppressing our magic," Sophia said anxiously.
"We need to find another way, or else..." Morris's words were abruptly interrupted by a sudden change. Suddenly, a flash of light crossed the space and struck Morris's shoulder violently.
A loud noise rang out, and Morris was thrown as if hit by a giant rock. The "Shadowfang" in his hand lost its balance and was directly swept into the deep pit.
"No!" Sophia screamed in agony, her short sword almost slipping from her hand. At this critical moment, Thanos tightly grabbed her with a claw.
"I can't let you be sucked in too!" Thanos roared with a voice full of shock and anger, instantly spreading his wings and flying out with Sophia before the tornado had completely closed.
After they left, the deep pit closed again, leaving only endless darkness and inexplicable oppression.
Sophia touched her chest and felt a tearing pain, as if something had been permanently pulled away.
"Morris..." she murmured, her eyes filled with indescribable worry and fear. In her blue pupils, the rapidly spinning darkness and chaos were reflected. Thanos tightly gripped the stone pillar, his massive dragon wings struggling to maintain balance in the storm.
After a long time, the tornado finally stopped.
Thanos lowered his head in sorrow, and there was a subtle and imperceptible sadness in his dragon eyes. "Miss, the most important thing now is to protect yourself. Morris is a strong person, he will find a way to survive."
Sophia placed her hand on the Key of the Celestial Realm staff, took a deep breath, and tried to calm her emotions. The Wanderer of the Mist robe fluttered in the wind, its blue threads seemingly echoing her inner turmoil. The gem on the staff shimmered slightly, as if sensing her emotions.
"You're right, Thanos. I can't afford to break down so easily. Especially not now..." Sophia focused, gripping the staff tightly, a new determination shining in her eyes.
After a moment of weightlessness, Morris felt himself plummeting downward like a stone, picking up speed. The air around him grew heavy, as if invisible arms were pulling and dragging him into an even more terrifying place.
Just as he felt despair about to overwhelm him, the Seven-Colored Dzi Bead on his chest suddenly emitted a dazzling light. The light seemed to have a life of its own, surrounded by a seven-colored halo, with each color symbolizing a special energy: red for fire, blue for water, yellow for earth, green for wind, white for light, black for darkness, and purple for the combined power of these elements.
The Seven-Colored Dzi Bead, like a loyal guardian, stepped forward and formed a protective shield, blocking out the surrounding evil forces. These unseen forces, like black mist, rushed towards Morris, but upon touching the rainbow-colored halo, they quickly vanished like snowflakes meeting a blazing fire.
Morris felt a warm stream coming from the Seven-Colored Dzi Bead, as if someone was touching his heart with warm hands, dispelling the cold and fear within him.
And so, he finally landed steadily on a flat ground, which was a completely unknown place.
This area is unusually dark, and at first glance, it seems endless. However, within this silent expanse, there is also a sense of danger. The ground is made of black rocks, which appear to have been weathered over thousands of years, covered with cracks and pits.
Morris decisively draws out the "Shadowfang" dagger, ready to confront any potential threats. This dagger is said to have been brought out from the temple of The Dark God Othus, and it not only allows him to see clearly in the night, but also enhances the magical power of dark attribute mages.
His blue eyes stared around. In the narrow space, a deep, unfathomable darkness enveloped everything, as if it contained a mysterious power that he had not fully understood. He took a deep breath, feeling a chill in the air and a subtle but unsettling atmosphere.
Morris keenly sensed a change, then a bone-chilling cold wind suddenly tore through the silence, accompanied by a deep, almost heart-stopping roar. The voice was deep and soul-shaking, as if it came from the deepest depths of the underworld. Morris's heart instantly rose to his throat; he knew this was not a sound that an ordinary monster could make.
At the critical moment, Morris swiftly waved "Shadowfang" in the air and murmured an incantation. Instantly, a black barrier emerged from the dagger, enveloping his entire body. He had barely let out a sigh of relief when suddenly, a massive shadow descended from the sky like lightning, pouncing on him.
This demonic creature far exceeded his imagination, covered in jet-black scales, clearly a highly advanced Dark creatures. Its teeth were as sharp as a reaper's scythe, and its claws were like steel hooks, seemingly capable of tearing through anything with ease. What was even more shocking was the seven differently colored scars on the creature's back, emitting a dazzling light.
At this critical moment, Morris felt a sudden tightness in his chest, but unexpectedly, he sensed a radiant light emanating from his own body. It was coming from the seven-colored gemstones he was wearing, which seemed to be responding to the advanced magical beast. The two lights collided and intertwined, creating an almost dazzling aura that was too bright to look at directly.
The aura instantly illuminated the entire space, and the beast, which had seemed to emerge from the darkness, suddenly let out a wail as if in extreme pain. Its body shook violently, and then, as if propelled by some immense force, it rapidly retreated and ultimately disappeared into the darkness.
Morris stood still, his heart still beating nervously. He understood that the recent scene was one of the most dangerous moments in his life. He cast a grateful glance at the magical jewels; if it weren't for their light, he might have become the monster's meal by now.
