Night falls, and the woods outside the thatched cottage are filled with the sounds of insects and birds. Mo Shuiyue lies on a simple bed, gazing at the thatched roof. Li Chung-Shen sits at the door, attentively watching the surroundings.
"Your Highness, you should rest as well," Mo Shuiyue's voice is gentle yet firm.
Li Chung-Shen turned back and smiled slightly, "Doctor Mo, please rest assured, I will guard this night."
Mo Shuiyue didn't say anything more, just silently appreciated the protection of this Third Prince in her heart.
The road ahead will be even more difficult, but at least for now, they are safe.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the cracks of the thatched cottage onto Mo Shuiyue's face. She gently opened her eyes to find Li Chung-Shen still sitting at the door, seemingly having not slept all night.
Mo Shuiyue whispered, "Your Highness, you haven't slept all night. Your body won't be able to take it."
Li Chung-Shen turned his head, with a hint of weariness in his eyes, "Doctor Mo, this is nothing. We must leave here as soon as possible, so as not to cause trouble for the old man, continue to search for rare herbs, and then return to the capital."
"You're right," Mo Shuiyue slowly sat up and felt the pain from her wound lessen. She looked at Li Chung-Shen, feeling an inexplicable emotion rising in her heart.
Mo Shuiyue and Li Chung-Shen packed their belongings in the thatched cottage, preparing to bid farewell to the kind old man.
Li Chung-Shen walked to the side of the old man and bowed deeply, "Sir, thank you for your generous help. Without you, we might have had difficulty bandaging our wounds and recovering our strength for a comfortable night."
The old man nodded slightly, with a kind smile on his face. "Young man, I am glad to be able to help you. Be careful, this mountain forest is not peaceful."
Mo Shuiyue also walked over and said softly, "Elder, we will always remember your kindness. Hopefully, we will have the chance to do something for you in the future."
The old man shook his head and said gently, "I have no more desires in this life, I only hope for your safety."
After leaving the thatched cottage, Mo Shuiyue and Li Chung-Shen continued along the mountain path. Along the way, they occasionally looked back at the simple yet warm thatched cottage gradually disappearing into the woods.
During the journey, Li Chung-Shen would occasionally glance back to check on Mo Shuiyue's condition. Despite her injuries not fully healed, Mo Shuiyue's strong will prevented her from showing too much fatigue.
"Doctor Mo, are you okay?" Li Chung-Shen asked with concern.
Mo Shuiyue smiled and replied, "I'm fine, no need to worry too much. Thank you for your concern."
While walking, the two occasionally talk about their dreams and ideals. Mo Shuiyue hopes to use her medical skill to help more people, while Li Chung-Shen hopes to bring peace and prosperity to the empire.
The sky is clear and blue, and the sunlight shines on the winding mountain path, illuminating their way forward.
"This forest seems denser than the ones we've walked through before," Mo Shuiyue said, looking at the dense trees with a slight frown.
Li Chung-Shen turned to her, his eyes filled with encouragement. "As long as we have a direction in our hearts, no matter how dense the forest is, it can't stop us."
Mo Shuiyue smiled, her smile appearing particularly warm in the sunlight. "Let's continue forward," she said, and then quickened her pace.
They walked through the dense forest, the fallen leaves rustling with each step. Suddenly, a little rabbit hopped out from the bushes, startling Mo Shuiyue.
"Look, it's a rabbit," Li Chung-Shen said with a slight smile, pointing at the little rabbit.
Mo Shuiyue's eyes lit up. "So cute, it seems to be enjoying the tranquility of this forest too."
They continued forward, crossing a small stream with the sound of gurgling water. Li Chung-Shen carefully supported Mo Shuiyue as they crossed the stream, leaving ripples with their footsteps in the water.
"Thank you, Your Highness," Mo Shuiyue said gratefully, her eyes filled with gratitude.
"No need to thank me, this is what I should do," Li Chung-Shen responded with a gentle smile.
As they walked, Mo Shuiyue suddenly stopped and a look of confusion appeared in her eyes. "I seem to smell a special fragrance nearby."
Li Chung-Shen Immediately became alert, "Is it the smell of herbs?"
Mo Shuiyue Closed her eyes, took a deep breath, "No, this is..." She suddenly opened her eyes, "It's the smell of honey!"
They followed the scent and found a small beehive hanging from a low branch of a big tree. Li Chung-Shen approached cautiously to avoid disturbing the bees.
"It looks like we have some honey to taste today," Mo Shuiyue's voice revealed a hint of excitement.
Li Chung-Shen smiled and replied, "As long as we are careful, we can collect some honey."
They carefully collected some honey, and Mo Shuiyue tasted it, her smile becoming even brighter: "This is the sweetest honey I've ever tasted."
Li Chung-Shen also took a sip and his eyes lit up with surprise: "It's indeed very sweet. This will be one of the beautiful memories of our journey." They continued on their way, occasionally encountering small animals or admiring the beautiful scenery along the road. Mo Shuiyue seemed particularly happy, sharing her observations and feelings with Li Chung-Shen from time to time.
"This journey, although filled with unknowns and dangers, also allowed me to see many beautiful things," said Mo Shuiyue.
Li Chung-Shen nodded, "Yes, every journey is an exploration and discovery. Whether it's beautiful or difficult, it's all part of our life's journey."
Night falls, and they set up camp in a flat area. The campfire flickers in the darkness, and two people sit around it, sharing their experiences and feelings from the journey.
"I never thought I would have the opportunity to spend time with Your Highness on such a journey," Mo Shuiyue says softly, her eyes shimmering in the light of the fire.
Looking at the bonfire, with deep eyes: "This journey is also very special to me. Having your company makes this trip even more unforgettable."
For a long time, Mo Shuiyue gazed into the distance at the stars outside the cave. In her mind, vague memories kept emerging, like fragments of an old, intermittent film.
Li Chung-Shen sat quietly beside her, his eyes filled with concern. "Doctor Mo, you seem worried."
Mo Shuiyue Turned around and looked at him, with a deep glint in his eyes. "Yes, I seem to remember some past events, but they are all vague fragments."
Li Chung-Shen Nodded gently, his voice soft and comforting. "Time will help you regain your memory, there's no need to be too anxious."
Mo Shuiyue took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. "You're right, I shouldn't be too eager for success."
