Ye Mei shared many interesting places in Prague, sending them to Jian Yunong so she could find some fun when she was bored alone.
Jian Yunong briefly scanned the contents, which included various options: artistic bookstores, niche jewelry shops, and quirky themed cafes, among others.
"Thank you," Jian Yunong said, noticing how Ye Mei had changed; she didn't expect her to be such a lively person who loved life and knew how to enjoy it.
"Just take it all in," Ye Mei smiled kindly at her. "You'll discover how beautiful life can be."
Life is not only about feeling beauty through these experiences; she had always felt beauty from Huo Jincheng.
However, Jian Yunong didn’t want to share this beauty with Ye Mei or anyone else.
...
Back at the hotel, Huo Jincheng was still busy. Jian Yunong peeked in and saw him sitting in front of the computer, his expression serious.
Never mind, she decided to give up on disturbing him.
But Huo Jincheng suddenly looked up, his previously sharp features softening. "You're back?" he waved at her, closed the screen, and pulled Jian Yunong into his arms as she walked over.
Jian Yunong sat on his lap, her petite frame resembling a small cat, snuggling softly against him, holding him tightly and relying on him wholeheartedly.
Huo Jincheng rested his chin on her shoulder. "Daughter-in-law, it seems like I haven't held you like this in a long time."
The steady and strong heartbeat of Huo Jincheng echoed in her ears as Jian Yunong affectionately nuzzled against his solid chest.
"I'm in a good mood today," Huo Jincheng said as he stroked her hair. He could sense Jian Yunong's good spirits. "Did something happy happen?"
Huo Jincheng guessed it probably wasn't related to visiting the doctor.
It was already good that she could obediently go see the doctor; after all, no one likes visiting one.
"Secretary Ye took me to a really nice dessert place and brought you a portion. Try it and see how it is?" Jian Yunong crawled out from his arms, stomped her feet, and ran outside to bring in another small bag.
"You try it." Jian Yunong opened the outer packaging, presenting it like a treasure. "Come on, eat a bit. Don't we still have to continue working later? Can we take just a little break?"
Jian Yunong thought that Huo Jincheng was not eating because he had more things to do later, so she spoke to him in a pleading, spoiled tone.
However, Huo Jincheng suddenly picked her up and sealed her lips with a kiss.
In this world, there is probably nothing sweeter than the passionate kisses shared between lovers.
"Mr. Huo..."
When Ye Mei walked in, she was taken aback by the sight of the couple entwined behind the desk, feeling awkward in place.
She never expected that the usually aloof man would have such a gentle and passionate side.
After three seconds of hesitation, she finally realized what was happening and retreated.
She stood at the door for a while before going back in, only to find that they were no longer visible behind the desk, and the bedroom door was tightly closed.
One could imagine the passion and romance happening inside.
Ye Mei sighed softly; the cake on the table had not been touched at all, and the ice cream was gradually melting, losing its initial appealing appearance from the dessert shop.
...
The days of gathering are always short-lived.
It was once again time for Huo Jincheng to fly back home.
When Jian Yunong woke up from the big bed, Huo Jincheng had already left the hotel and boarded a flight back to Nancheng.
There was no farewell, no saying goodbye.
The place where Huo Jincheng had lain was already devoid of warmth. Jian Yunong lay in that familiar scent, feeling as if she were in his embrace.
She didn't know why, clearly disliking farewells yet choosing this way to dilute the sadness. When the moment of parting finally arrived, she still couldn't escape those negative emotions.
Tears fell silently. Jian Yunong cried for a while before wiping her tears dry. She needed to live diligently; she needed to work hard to stand up again and return to Nancheng, back to Huo Jincheng's side, healthy and well.
Nearly two months passed in the blink of an eye.
Jian Yunong busied herself with various club activities. There were many interesting events locally that filled the days when Huo Jincheng had not contacted her.
She even participated in community activities with a psychologist, helping those who needed psychological support.
In her busy life, time flew by.
Jian Yunong held a bouquet of flowers in her hands, with her bicycle parked at the hotel entrance.
An Asian girl greeted her, "Miss Jian, someone is here to see you today."
Jian Yunong paused for a moment. Could it be Huo Jincheng?
Suddenly, she realized that it seemed like a while since she had last contacted him.
"Nong Nong."
Mist Shenshen walked out from around the corner, her charming face seeming a bit rounder, and the smile on her face made Jian Yunong want to cry.
"Come over here!" Mist Shenshen huffed, revealing her true self.
Ah... the familiar scent, the familiar aunt!
This is the correct way to open up to Aunt Wu Shenshen.
Jian Yunong ran over, but before she could jump into her arms to act cute, she was stopped by Ji Shaoli, who suddenly appeared.
"Nong Nong," Ji Shaoli said with a helpless smile, gently reminding her, "Your little aunt's belly is getting big."
He was worried about the baby inside her.
Mist Shenshen unceremoniously pushed him aside, "Don't mind him."
Ji Shaoli looked aggrieved, showing an innocent expression on the side.
Mist Shenshen ignored him and poked Jian Yunong on the forehead.
It hurt just the same, but a sense of intimacy came along with it.
"If I don't contact you, do you think you would know to contact me?" Mist Shenshen was almost furious. "I've been watched during this time; I can't even make a phone call or watch TV. It's incredibly boring."
Mist Shenshen shot a fierce glare at Ji Shaoli. Seeing his innocent expression made her snort; he was pretending again!
Ji Shaoli explained for himself, "But I did that for our child. The first three months must be handled with utmost caution."
"Shut up." Mist Shenshen didn't want to hear him talk and turned to grab Jian Yunong's hand. "Come on, take me to your room. Let's have a little chat."
Ji Shaoli wanted to follow them into the room but was shut out by Mist Shenshen.
"Auntie, this isn't good. How can you leave Uncle outside?" Jian Yunong tried to plead for Ji Shaoli.
Mist Shenshen looked around the room, filled with Jian Yunong's personal touch, adorned with flowers and plenty of sunlight. It must be very comfortable to live in.
It seemed that Jian Yunong had been doing quite well abroad.
Mist Shenshen felt much more at ease.
"Don't mind him. I'm so tired of him. I don't want to see him at all right now."
Mist Shenshen sat down on the sofa, rubbing her protruding belly. "Come here."
Jian Yunong poured a glass of warm water for Mist Shenshen.
Mist Shenshen took a few shallow sips, moistening her lips before speaking softly, "You need to tell me the truth. Have you secretly agreed to divorce Huo Jincheng?"
Jian Yunong showed a confused expression. "Aunt, what are you talking about? Why would you think that?"
"Just tell me the truth!"
"No, I haven't."
"Really?"
"Of course. It's strange that you would say that."
