The results from Port City University were out, and Jian Yunong eagerly went to check her exam results.
She looked at the public list on the webpage back and forth many times, but her name was not on it.

She was taken to Huo Jincheng's office.
Time passed slowly; the meeting seemed to be dragging on, and Jian Yunong's frustration faded away.
During this boring period, Jian Yunong called the graduate admissions office at Port City University to ask if they knew Huo Jincheng.
The answer from the other side was no.
Jian Yunong responded with a chuckle, "I knew you would say that."
Jian Yunong even took a nap in Huo Jincheng's chair.
When she woke up, it was already dark outside.
Realizing she had been completely overlooked, Jian Yunong angrily rushed back to the Huo Family Old Residence.
Huo Jincheng was already there, talking to Grandma Huo with a smile on his face, making her laugh uncontrollably, hardly pausing at all.

Grandma Huo was serving her food while saying, "You must have lost weight this year preparing for the A University Graduate Student entrance exam. You don't go out much either. Huo Jincheng held the steering wheel, his voice calm yet laced with arrogance. "Repulsive? Haven't I always made you feel that way?"
Jian Yunong choked up, suddenly at a loss for words, as if she had thrown a punch that landed softly on cotton.
"Jian Yunong, you've finally dared to question me. I thought you didn't care about anything." Huo Jincheng's handsome face was filled with mockery. "So you do care about your own matters. How could you still have the nerve to mess up the A University Graduate Student re-examination?"
Jian Yunong sneered, "So what if I messed it up? Aren't you capable of fixing everything? I blurted out random answers and you still managed to get me into A University, while I got into Port City University on my own merit, yet you somehow made sure I couldn't get in."
Huo Jincheng's lips curled into a cold smile. "You got into Port City University on your own merit? What merit do you have? Why do you think you could definitely get in?"
Jian Yunong raised her neck defiantly, "Why shouldn't I? Because I've been studying hard! Because I've been reviewing well! It's just an exam, what else do I need to rely on? Do I need to rely on whether I'm pretty or not? Whether I have money? Or whether I have connections?"
"Huo Jincheng chuckled lightly, a hint of sarcasm in his tone, "You've really lost your mind from studying too much. I haven't interfered with the graduate re-examination at Port City University. I've only prepared for you the first school on your wish list. If I said you'd get into Nancheng A University, then you'll get into that university."
Jian Yunong was fuming, "I don't believe you! You're a liar!"
Huo Jincheng couldn't be bothered to explain so much to someone he deemed foolish.
