Old Man Gu's surgery was very successful, and he smoothly passed the danger period of organ transplant rejection. As long as he rests well in the later stages, there shouldn't be any major issues. After being discharged from the hospital, Green Qi took her father to a nursing home in the city for rehabilitation.
Green Qi was clueless about company management, so she hired a professional manager to run Wind Dust Group. Her father had professional caregivers, so she didn't need to be involved there. She also planned to finish her design drafts and prepare for interviews. Since she decided to stay in the country, she naturally wanted to develop her career.
Every day, she tirelessly reviewed materials and continuously drew design blueprints. Her nanny and bodyguard, IKEA, had also rushed back from the United States to keep her company.
"Gu Da, I just received news that today is the fifth anniversary of Yunhu Resort, and there will be a party tonight. Jiang Shao is one of the shareholders of the Resort and will definitely be invited."
"What does that have to do with me? You know I'm not interested in gatherings," Green Qi replied lazily.
Having been by her side for so long, IKEA knew her indifferent nature well; however, the boss hadn't caught the main point of her words.
After a pause, IKEA spoke again: "Gu Da, Jiang Shao will definitely look for you as his partner at this banquet. I've heard that Yunhu Resort has master-level designs; it would be a great opportunity to check it out!"
"I don't care who Jiang Dashao chooses as his partner; there are so many beautiful women around him. Does he even need me? But since this Resort has master-level designs, it would be unreasonable not to pay my respects. IKEA, find a way to get an invitation; we'll go together," Green Qi said lightly.
"Understood." IKEA responded. Although she knew Gu Da was married to Jiang Shao under an agreement, she still hoped for a good outcome between them. However, seeing Gu Da's attitude made it seem unlikely; she didn't want to say too much and took out her phone to find a way to get an invitation.
IKEA's abilities should not be underestimated; in no time, she successfully obtained an invitation. "Gu Da, everything is sorted out. I'm going to prepare dinner now; we still have time after eating."
"Okay, I'll go prepare the outfit for the banquet."
After dinner, Green Qi changed into her evening gown and admired herself in the mirror of her room. The flowing silk red gown swayed with a long mermaid skirt, and the exquisite golden embroidery added elegance. The fitted cut highlighted her graceful curves, with a delicate waist and rounded hips on full display. Her snow-white shoulders revealed sexy collarbones, while the back featured a hollow design that showcased her smooth back, inviting imagination.
IKEA walked in, and from her astonished gaze, Green Qi knew she had chosen the right outfit. Glancing at IKEA, who had changed into her clothes, it was clear that having someone like her around was indeed a good choice; her taste was impeccable.
“Gu Da, I can guarantee you will outshine everyone today!”
“You're so full of it, let’s go!” The driver had already parked at the entrance, and Gu Da had specifically left the driver for him, which turned out to be quite useful. Green Qi stepped into the car in her limited edition high heels, holding up the hem of her gown.
The car quickly started and headed towards Yunhu Resort. Along the way, IKEA kept talking about how stunning the Resort was, as if she had been there before.
The car stopped at the destination. Stepping out and looking around, it was evident that this Resort truly lived up to its reputation. All the buildings were arranged around the lake, with reflections shimmering on the water, winding paths and corridors, green bricks and blue tiles, surrounded by flowers and plants, lush trees providing shade, and a gentle breeze—it was indeed a vacation paradise.
