He slowly stepped towards Green Qi, his pace steady. Although his steps were simple, a strong sense of coolness emanated from him as he approached.
Green Qi's gaze remained fixed ahead. Hearing the approaching footsteps, she gently raised her eyes and saw Mu Tongzi walking towards her. Her eyes flickered slightly, and her delicate fingers that were flipping through the pages of a book paused momentarily before she released them, smiling at Mu Tongzi with an air of fearlessness.
Mu Tongzi reached in front of Gu Lvq Qi, his gaze lingering on her for a moment. A hint of curiosity flashed in his eyes as he observed her calm demeanor. He spoke lightly, "Is Mrs. Jiang always so rude as to casually rummage through things in someone else's house without permission?"
"What do you mean by always being rude?" Gu Lvq Qi rolled her eyes dramatically. "This is the first time I've touched your things, and it's just an ordinary book, not something else. If you had let me go back on my own, would I still be here reading to pass the time?"
"Then you can certainly go back by yourself!" Mu Tongzi narrowed his eyes.
