He was momentarily taken aback, gently nodded, raised his wrist to check the time, and said to Xia Yu calmly, "Take the documents to GK."
"Okay, I will prepare the car right away!" Xia Yu responded and quickly left the office. The spacious office was left with only two people, quiet enough to hear each other's breathing.
Mu Tongzi stood up, his handsome figure slowly approaching her. Green Qi looked up at him; her delicate face was lightly made up, yet it did not diminish the pure beauty hidden beneath.
A faint Plant Fragrance wafted through the air, snapping her back to reality. She nervously stared at the handsome face before her, and just as she was about to look away, a warm voice from above said, "Today is your first day at work. I organized an executive meeting, and you will be responsible for the design of Meihai Resort that you commented on last time."
After speaking, he turned around and handed her a folder. "This contains all the information about the project. Familiarize yourself with it as soon as possible, and present a practical proposal in the meeting later."
"No way! I..." Taking the folder, Green Qi glared at him with gritted teeth. The calm she had managed to maintain was shattered by his words. "Today is my first day at work; I'm not familiar with anything related to business. You want me to jump right in? Isn't that asking too much?"
She only understood the basics about GK, and she had no experience as a Design Director. Many things needed to be accumulated over time. To ask her to propose a solution in such a short time frame was unreasonable!
"For an outstanding Design Director, half an hour is enough to familiarize oneself with a project plan. If this were given to Xia Yu, she could handle two in that time."
"Can people really be compared?" Taking a deep breath, she looked up at the man who seemed to enjoy the show. To avoid giving him any amusement, she gritted her teeth and stubbornly replied, "Fine, half an hour it is!"
Just to prove a point, Green Qi immediately started reviewing the project plan once she got into the car. The low-key yet luxurious black Bentley moved slowly along the road in silence, with only the faint sound of paper rustling.
Xia Yu glanced curiously in the rearview mirror; this woman hadn't spoken since getting into the car and was engrossed in her project plan. He wondered what the President had said to her that made her so focused on it.
If it were any other woman in this situation, they would likely be eager to flirt with the President instead of being so absorbed in work. Only she could remain this composed; it truly wasn't easy.
No wonder the President, who has always been indifferent to women, treats her so specially; this woman must have something different from others.
Green Qi lifted her head from the proposal and glanced at the man beside her, who was dressed in a formal suit. His tall and well-built figure was wrapped in a black suit, and even while sitting quietly, his innate nobility was still evident.
Hesitating whether to speak up, Green Qi cleared her throat and said, “President, may I ask you a question?”
Turning his head, Mu Tongzi nodded slightly and replied calmly, “Feel free to speak.”
“I’ve been parachuted into GK as the Design Director. Does that mean my authority is higher than that of other department Directors?”
“Why? Are you worried about attracting too much attention?” He propped his head up, reclining slightly as he looked at her. His handsome face was serious and indifferent. “Are you concerned that because you were parachuted in, it will be hard to gain people's trust, or are you worried that your abilities might not be enough and you’ll embarrass yourself?”
