After she finished her self-introduction, Mu Tongzi turned to the man sitting first on her right. "This is GK's Executive Vice President, Nie Fengling. From now on, he will be your direct supervisor."
"Hello, Vice President Nie!" Turning around, Green Qi politely extended her hand towards him. Nie Fengling slightly curled his lips and shook her hand, a glimmer of appreciation hidden in his deep-set eyes.
He cast a meaningful glance at the calm-faced Mu Tongzi, suppressing his emotions. Since his decision could not be changed by anyone, all he could do was cooperate.
"Why don't you all introduce yourselves one by one?" With that, Mu Tongzi turned and sat in the Chairman's seat. The self-introduction was purely for new employees to integrate into the group more quickly; he could only guide them and would not participate further.
With an innate aura of a natural leader, his inherent noble demeanor could captivate everyone in any setting.
Once the big boss spoke, the other departments naturally followed suit with their introductions. Green Qi politely smiled and nodded at them, memorizing their names and physical features.
When it was time for the temporary Director of the Design Department, Liu Siran, to introduce herself, Green Qi raised an eyebrow at her and calmly met that proud face. It seemed she had offended Liu Siran right from the start. However, given that she could hold the position of Vice President of the Design Department while temporarily acting as Director yet still failed to conceal her emotions, she probably wasn't a formidable opponent.
After the self-introductions, the meeting began. The first to speak was Executive Vice President Nie Fengling, who offered a few polite words welcoming the Design Director before moving on to the main topic of the meeting.
This meeting was to evaluate and discuss the design plans for Meihai Resort. Green Qi also had a copy of the Design Plan in hand. As a newcomer, she naturally did not dare to make rash conclusions in front of so many executives; instead, she quietly listened to various departments' suggestions and opinions regarding this design while quickly taking notes.
The man sitting in the Chairman's seat did not speak throughout; occasionally he glanced at her. She sat below Xia Yu, and from his position as Chairman, he could observe all her movements.
He kept Liu Siran as Deputy Director of the Design Department to give Green Qi a test. After all, having ability alone was not enough in work; managing interpersonal relationships was also crucial.
What he needed was an effective subordinate, not just a workaholic who could only work but not socialize.
After many executives participating in the Design Plan expressed their opinions and views, the man in the Chairman's Seat casually lifted his head while playing with the pen in his hand: “Liu Deputy Director, what do you think about this Design Plan?”
Called upon by the President, Liu Siran was momentarily taken aback, nervously glancing at the man in the Chairman's Seat, her face slightly flushed as it took her a while to regain her composure.
Since she started working at gk, she had been striving to climb the ranks. Previously, with a Design Director present, the President had never called on her to express her opinions. This was the first time since she temporarily took over as Design Director that the President personally came to host a meeting and specifically asked for her input, which made her feel both honored and overwhelmed.
Looking at the Design Plan in her hands that she didn't quite understand, she nervously stood up and glanced at the man in the Chairman's Seat, unsure of how to begin.
“President, I... I...” As soon as she started speaking, she attracted the attention of many executives, and the scrutiny made her feel even more pressured.
“I don’t have much to say; everyone has just shared their opinions and suggestions regarding this Design Plan, including what I was thinking.” Gritting her teeth to finish her sentence, she awkwardly glanced at the man in the Chairman's Seat, only to find that he hadn’t looked at her even once throughout.
