"Do I look more appetizing than the dishes on the table?" The food was getting cold, so hurry up and eat! Seeing her staring at him blankly, Mu Tongzi teased, and when she came back to her senses, he thoughtfully handed her a pair of chopsticks.
Embarrassed, she took the chopsticks and secretly glanced at him. When she saw her father's astonished gaze, she shyly lowered her head.
"Gu Zong, please!" Turning around, Mu Tongzi spoke as the host of the banquet, easing the awkward atmosphere.
"Alright..." Gu Fengchen snapped out of his surprise, smiled, and nodded as he picked up the chopsticks.
"Today is just a simple meal; we won't be drinking alcohol. What do you think, Gu Zong?"
Usually, drinking during social gatherings was unavoidable, and Gu Fengchen naturally understood that feeling. He smiled and nodded, "Then I'll go along with your wishes. Besides, I have to work in the afternoon; it's better not to drink. You are quite considerate, Mu Zong."
"That's great!" He signaled for the waiter to take away the wine brought by the manager and then instructed, "Bring Miss Gu a glass of orange juice and give me a glass of warm water."
"Sure, Mr. Mu, please wait a moment!" The waiter nodded in response and retreated with the wine.
Green Qi looked up in surprise at him. Under his ambiguous gaze, she hurriedly lowered her head. Mu Tongzi slightly curled his lips and turned to continue chatting with Gu Fengchen.
She couldn't interject in their conversation, so she focused on eating. She thought they wouldn't pay attention to her, but unexpectedly, the usually dignified President was thoughtfully preparing dishes for her with his chopsticks.
Watching the bowl gradually fill with food she loved to eat, Green Qi was momentarily stunned. She looked up blankly at President who was serving her food, her expression dazed.
Noticing the strangeness between them, Gu Fengchen cast a surprised glance at them. However, after a moment's thought, he figured it might just be the gentlemanly demeanor of a young master from a prestigious family; taking care of a woman was merely a matter of courtesy. He soon felt reassured.
"What are you staring blankly for? My chopsticks haven't even touched the food, and there's no saliva on them." The man beside her couldn't help but find her shocked expression amusing. It was rare to see her blush, and his previously gloomy mood, tormented by stomach pain, instantly brightened.
Like teasing a pet, seeing her lively and vivid expressions inexplicably lifted his spirits even more.
"President... please stop joking!" She shot him an annoyed glare and ate the food in her bowl without tasting it, treating him as if he were just habitually caring for a woman, not thinking too much about it.
After all, she wasn't the only woman in his life; this kind of special treatment might have been given to many women before, so there was no need to ponder over it.
But why had she just been staring blankly like that?
The relationship between them was merely an illicit one, each fulfilling their own needs. He invested in Wind Dust Group, while she provided him with what he currently desired.

However, Green Qi sadly discovered that the preparation of dishes was just the beginning. Mu Tongzi ate very little and spent most of the time serving her food. After being shocked, Green Qi began to suspect that perhaps the dishes she ordered didn't suit his taste, so he used the tactic of serving her food to make her unable to eat?
After finishing their meal and coming out, Manager Shi personally escorted them to the door. The warmth and respectful service attitude were truly impressive; the VIP treatment was indeed different!
