The meal lasted almost three hours. Green Qi looked back and forth at them as they talked, and the Mayor occasionally asked her a few questions, to which she only responded politely.
Originally, she was only responsible for eating and drinking, and did not want to be involved in the conversation, as the topics they discussed were beyond her reach. She thought it would be better to just focus on eating. Mu Tongzi probably felt the same way, as the conversation did not turn towards her.
Around three o'clock, Mu Tongzi signaled for the waiter to clear the table. After everything on the table was removed, the waiter brought tea leaves and some recreational items.
Mayor Qin raised his wrist to check the time. "It's still early; how about a game?"
Seeing the Jade Chess Piece set nearby, Mu Tongzi became interested. "I wouldn't dare refuse!" He smiled and nodded, then turned to Green Qi sitting beside him. "Can you brew tea? If not, let Tea Art help."
"I can!" She nodded and turned to Tea Art waiting nearby, then went around to the tea table to start boiling water.
The spacious private room was equipped with various facilities. At the square table by the window, the two had already set up the chessboard and began playing without a care in the world.
On the tea table was a Zisha Tea Set. Green Qi brewed the tea carefully, pouring it into small tea bowls with graceful movements that exuded elegance.
She focused on brewing tea and did not notice that the man across from her was inadvertently taking in this serene scene of tranquility.
Immersed in her own world, she seemed unaffected by anything else, quietly sitting in her chair. Her movements and posture were part of the tea ceremony process, but in her hands, it became a beautiful sight on this bright afternoon.
Noticing his distraction, Qin Feili also glanced towards the window, smiled knowingly, lightly placed a piece on the board, raised an eyebrow with a faint smile, and asked, "Are you serious this time?"
"What?" Coming back to reality, Mu Tongzi met Qin Feili's gaze filled with meaning. Realizing what he meant, she subtly reined in the softness in her eyes. "No, I just think it's an interesting pet."
She is his successfully captured but untamed prey. Every time he corners her, he can always see her unwillingness to admit defeat and her counterattacks. Gradually, he becomes someone who just wants to play with her because of the excitement of the taming process.
"Is that so? If you're not serious, don't let yourself be misled. If you are serious, then put in more effort. It's time for you to settle down."
Compared to many younger generations, Mu Tongzi's thoughts are the most difficult to decipher.
"Yeah, I know my limits." He smirked slightly, half-closing his eyes to change the subject. His deep gaze wandered across the chessboard. "Many things are like a chess game; if you want to stay in control, you have to proceed cautiously. You can't rush it."
"Your thoughts have always been profound, so I won't bother trying to guess." Raising an eyebrow, Qin Feili looked at the woman who had prepared tea and was about to bring over the tea tray, smiling meaningfully.
"Mayor, please enjoy your tea!" Green Qi set down the tea tray and politely handed over a cup of tea.
"Good, the color is bright and clear, with a lingering fragrance. Good tea!" Picking up the teacup, Qin Feili savored the tea in his hand and nodded in satisfaction. "Miss Gu's skills are impressive!"
"Thank you for the compliment; I'm glad you like it!" Smiling, Green Qi picked up another cup and placed it beside Mu Tongzi. "Mu Zong, you should try it too!"
