At that moment, a sharp female scream came from the front. Shinichi and Rimi immediately quickened their pace and ran towards the source of the sound.
When they arrived at the abandoned factory, a horrifying scene unfolded before their eyes - a woman was being entangled by a bizarre creature, its tentacles tightly coiled around the woman's limbs.
"Help... help me!" The woman looked at Shinichi and Rimi with eyes filled with a plea for help.
At that moment, Rimi noticed that the woman entangled had already lost her lower body, apparently beyond saving.
She felt a pang of heartache, but she also knew that the most important thing now was to deal with the immediate threat.
Shinichi and Rimi didn't hesitate at all. "Right" and " Mi " transformed almost simultaneously, with "Right" turning into a sharp sword, and " Mi " becoming a sturdy shield.
"Let her go!" Shinichi shouted, waving his "Right" and instantly cutting off the creature's tentacles.
Glancing at the body of the woman on the ground, the parasite sneered, "You're still too late. This woman has already become my food."
"Since that's the case, there's no reason to spare your life," Shinichi said coldly. "Right" transformed again, turning into an even sharper blade.
The monster let out a roar as its head began to transform, gradually returning to its original human form, revealing Shinichi's father, Izumi Shinichi.
Shinichi widened his eyes, looking at the familiar face in front of him. Even though he had mentally prepared himself for all kinds of scenarios, when faced with this reality, he still felt a heart-wrenching pain.
"Dad?" There was a hint of uncertainty and pain in Shinichi's voice.
"No, he is no longer your dad, Shinichi," Rimi said, biting her lip and gripping Shinichi's hand tightly.
That creature - or rather, the parasite that had taken over Shinichi's father's body - suddenly let out a cold laugh.
"I never expected it to be you. And I certainly never expected you to still be alive, and with a companion who also failed to take over the brain," it said, its voice filled with mockery and disdain.
Shinichi took a deep breath, clenched his fist, "Even if you occupy his body, you will never be him."
Parasite smiled, "So, what are you going to do? Killing me is killing your father."
Shinichi felt a sudden surge of tension, but he knew this was an unavoidable choice.
At that moment, parasite launched a sudden attack, its tentacles moving as fast as lightning. Surprisingly, Shinichi not only completely dodged its attack, but also Counterattacked in return.
"You can actually see my attacks? And keep up with my speed?" parasite asked in astonishment.
Shinichi didn't answer. He knew it was all thanks to "Right."
However, Rimi was not as lucky as Shinichi, her movements were noticeably slower. Several times, it was "Right" and " Mi " who acted in time to save her life.
Rimi felt a little anxious, but she knew she couldn't be a burden to Shinichi.
"Shinichi, I'm sorry I can't be as fast as you." Rimi's eyes flashed with a hint of self-blame.
"It's okay, we are a team," Shinichi comforted her, "As long as I'm here, I won't let you get hurt."
At that moment, "Right" suddenly issued a warning: "Be careful, it's about to launch the ultimate attack!"
Shinichi and Rimi immediately focused their minds and prepared for the worst. At this critical moment, "Right" and "Mi" also prepared for a full-force attack.
Parasite suddenly let out a piercing roar, and its head rapidly inflated as if it were being filled with air. Its tentacles became even sharper, like a number of blades.
"Don't even think about escaping!" Shinichi gritted his teeth, wielding "Right," the transformed long sword, and launched a final attack against parasite.
Rimi also bit her lip, transforming "Mi" into a sturdy shield. She knew this might be her and Shinichi's last chance.
"Right" smoothly moves to confront parasite. The blade and tentacles create sparks in the air, each clash feels like a gamble with fate.
Rimi and "Mi" also refuse to back down, skillfully using the shield to block parasite's occasional sneak attacks. A hint of determination flashes in her eyes; this all must end here.
Shinichi drew an arc and successfully cut off one of parasite's tentacles.
Rimi used a shield formed by "Mi" to successfully repel parasite's attack, causing it to step back slightly.
parasite suddenly became extremely cunning, attacking Shinichi and Rimi with multiple tentacles at the same time. However, "Right" and "Mi" seemed to have a premonition and successfully dodged the attack.
Shinichi sensed a change in parasite's life force and clearly felt that the opponent had shown signs of exhaustion.
Rimi spotted a flaw.
"Shinichi, now!" Rimi shouted.
"Right" and "Mi" launched their attacks almost simultaneously. "Right" instantly pierced the heart of parasite, while "Mi" chopped off one of its many tentacled heads.
parasite let out a piercing wail, then its body began to disintegrate, gradually withering away.
Shinichi stood there, breathing a bit heavily, but with a hint of complex emotions on his face.
"It's finally over," Rimi walked over and placed her hand on Shinichi's shoulder.
Shinichi nodded, but his eyes seemed somewhat regretful and sad.
"Are you okay?" Rimi asked softly.
Shinichi took a deep breath and shook his head, "I don't know, Rimi. I killed him, even though he wasn't my dad anymore, but that body, that appearance, it was still him."
Rimi tightly held Shinichi's hand, "I know it's hard, Shinichi. But you did the right thing. If you didn't, more people would have been killed by him, and I don't think your dad would have wanted that."
Shinichi and Rimi locked eyes for a moment, then nodded. "You're right, I understand. But I need some time to adjust to all of this..."
