She grabbed a suitcase and went downstairs. Just two days ago, she had a falling out with Jiang Chengmu; even if she returned to Jiang Residence, she wouldn't receive any warm welcome. As for Madam Jiang, she could only hope for forgiveness.
She called Madam Jiang to inform her about the business trip. Perhaps because the mayor was coming, Madam Jiang was in a good mood and only made a few sarcastic remarks before letting her off the hook.
On the way to the airport, IKEA was driving while Green Qi sat in the back seat, listening to the soft music playing in the carriage as her chaotic thoughts gradually calmed down.
IKEA occasionally glanced back and couldn't help but ask, "Gu Da, what exactly is your relationship with Mu Zong now?"
She always felt that their relationship was more than ordinary, especially recently; she noticed that her boss seemed to be daydreaming much more than usual.

"Gu Da... you shouldn't always force yourself to do things you don't want to do. If Dad Gu knew you sold yourself out for him, he would be very sad. You are his only Precious Daughter; even if he doesn't want the company, he wouldn't let you do this."
She wasn't unaware of the entanglement between Gu Da and Mu Tongzi; she just felt sorry that Gu Da had to pretend not to know while suffering.
Others could at least cry to their parents when wronged, but no matter how sad Gu Da was, she could only endure it alone.
"There's nothing to feel wronged about. My relationship with Mu Tongzi is a fair transaction; we both get what we need. Besides, the things I want can only be obtained with his help."
IKEA ultimately couldn't change her straightforward personality and blurted out without thinking, "Isn't there still the Xue Family?"
