The night was deep, with the hazy moonlight blending with the lights on either side of the villa, adding a touch of profound ambiance.

Green Qi was not surprised that he would come; it seemed to validate her thoughts. The desire to escape gradually settled down.
The butler waiting at the door saw him and quickly approached. "Cousin Young Master, you’re back!"
Those around who did not know him snapped out of their daze and began whispering among themselves.
"Seeing him makes you happy, right?!" A low voice reached her ears. She suddenly came back to her senses and turned to see a man who had somehow stood beside her. Taking a deep breath, she shook her head. "I’m neither happy nor unhappy; he is already part of my past."
There would be no new beginning, nor did she wish for one.
"Really? How come I see you looking all affectionate?" Mu Tongzi teased, curling his lips as he pulled her into his embrace. His cool voice whispered against her ear, "Baby, I just stepped away for a moment, and you couldn't wait to run off and meet your lover. Even though you're here with me now, your heart must be with him, right?"
"I didn't!" She quickly turned her head, her forehead brushing against his lips. "If you're unhappy, then let's go back!"
She didn't like dealing with this kind of situation either; it would be better to leave before Xue Yiyang noticed them.
"Of course we're going back, but we should first go greet the host!" He said, wrapping his arms around her as they stepped out from the corner. Xue Yiyang, who was chatting with several business seniors, turned and saw them.
It seemed there was no escaping it. Green Qi smiled wryly and allowed Mu Tongzi to lead her forward.
Upon seeing them, Mu Tongzi was slightly surprised. The smile on his handsome face remained unchanged as he reached out his hand from a distance. "Mu Zong, what a coincidence!"
"It is quite a coincidence; I didn't expect to see you again in less than a day!" Mu Tongzi politely extended his hand for a handshake, lightly smiling with an elegant expression. "If Mr. Xiao hadn't mentioned it just now, we wouldn't have known you were Mr. Xiao's grandson."
"Really? I didn't expect my grandfather would invite you all. If I had known, I would have invited you to join us at the airport."
"Mr. Xiao graciously invited us to the banquet; we just paid our respects earlier. Qiqi isn't feeling well, so we will take our leave now."
