It seemed that she was enchanted by those eyes, and his handsome figure pressed down once more, his agile tongue entangling with her hesitant and evasive one.
"Baby, you are mine. Don't think about escaping!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he unhesitatingly released his grip and tore open her skirt. That statement felt like a declaration, opening the curtain to their ambiguous encounter!
In the luxurious living room, the atmosphere of desire grew increasingly intense, the heat rising, and a wild energy permeating the air...
After a whole afternoon of turmoil, when Green Qi woke up, it was already dark outside. She ordered a meal service but hadn't seen Mu Tongzi all night. After calling Xia Yu to inquire, she learned that he had gone out for a contract negotiation with the cooperation company.
Their group had come here on a business trip; only she had been forced to take a vacation, so naturally, they were all busy while she was the only one free!
Bored alone in her room, she decided to go out to explore the night market. She found a street-side bar, ordered a glass of red wine, and enjoyed it while admiring the night view.
She stayed until ten o'clock and noticed that more and more people were filling the bar. Only then did she leisurely leave the bar, planning to find somewhere to grab a late-night snack.
Looking down at her phone's navigation, she walked along; her destination was nearby. However, there were too many intersections, and she didn't know which way to cross, so she could only follow the navigation route.
Perhaps too focused on her phone, she completely failed to notice someone following her right after she exited the bar.
At the intersection, she looked up at the cars on either side and was just about to cross when suddenly a car turned from the corner and drove straight toward her.
She abruptly raised her head; for a moment, her mind went blank as she lost her reaction. Just as she was about to step back, a pair of hands quickly pulled her back just in time to avoid the speeding car.
Still shaken, she gasped slightly as she turned around to look at the person who had just saved her. Upon seeing that face, she was instantly stunned!
Lowering his head, Xue Yiyang looked at the dazed woman in his arms and anxiously asked, "Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine..." Coming back to her senses, Green Qi subtly brushed off his hand and turned sideways to escape from his embrace. Her expression was indifferent, seemingly unwilling to see him.
"Why do you always act like a child and make people worry? I've told you many times to be careful when crossing the street."
The words she murmured seemed no different from six years ago. He had once advised himself in the same way, but she never listened. Every time they crossed the street, she insisted on holding his hand, and she loved how carefully he protected her.
The past was still vivid in her mind, as if it were just yesterday. But in the blink of an eye, returning to reality, they had already been apart for many years.
"Thank you for saving me!" A stranger's words instantly turned the helplessness and worry on Xue Yiyang's face into frustration and disappointment.
"No need to thank me!" He sighed slightly and looked at her. "Let me take you to eat something to calm your nerves. I have something to tell you."
"I'm sorry, but I have nothing to say to you. If your mother finds out, she'll have something to say about me again."
"Qiqi! Can you please not treat me like this?" He suddenly grabbed her hand and tried to explain himself. "Qiqi, I really didn't want to break up with you back then; it was my mother's idea. Can you forgive me?"
She coldly shook off his hand and turned her head away. "It's not about forgiveness or not. Your mother is right; a woman like me should stay away from you!"
Their argument attracted strange looks from passersby. Green Qi's expression stiffened, and she snorted lightly before quickly crossing the street while the light was red.
Behind her, Xue Yiyang hurriedly chased after her. To others, their interaction looked like a couple arguing.
"Qiqi..." At the other side of the intersection, Xue Yiyang suddenly pulled her back. "Can we find a place to eat and talk properly? What if something happens while you're recklessly running around like this?"
She knew his concern was poison, yet she couldn't refuse her own heart. He still remembered her habits and little quirks, each one poking at her soft spots, making it hard for her to breathe!
"Where should we eat?" Taking a deep breath, she looked up at him with a cold and distant tone, her whole demeanor prickly like a hedgehog, fully armored.
Rather than continue entangled with him, it would be better to clarify everything at once—bridges would be bridges, roads would be roads.
His attitude changed so quickly that Xue Yiyang couldn't help but chuckle softly. She was still as childish as before, accustomed to disguising herself.
She was still a child who hadn't grown up; what was there for him to be angry about?
"What do you want to eat? Beef noodles or teppanyaki?" Looking at her this way made him feel as if he had returned to those years when even if she threw a tantrum, he would gladly endure it.
He knew that no matter how willful she was, she would smile at him the next day. So regardless of how she treated him, he wouldn't get angry; children throw tantrums, and it would pass.
After staring at his gentle, handsome face for two seconds, she gritted her teeth and looked away. "Beef noodles!"
Her little thoughts couldn't escape his notice, and not wanting to play along with her antics, he nodded readily. "Alright, let's go get the car."
She punched the air in frustration but was too lazy to continue their quarrel on the busy street. She turned and followed his steps.
Perhaps knowing that she was trying to create distance to reject him, Xue Yiyang really took her to the only beef noodle shop she used to love. When they got out of the car, he still maintained his gentlemanly demeanor by opening the door for her. Once, she had been infatuated with this gesture; now it felt unnecessary.
They sat in the same corner as before. This quaint little shop seemed unchanged. When their beef noodles were served, the owner glanced at them a couple of times, seemingly recognizing them. Green Qi smiled at him but didn't intend to break the silence.
Xue Yiyang looked at her profile as she turned away. She had put on a bit of light makeup today, wearing a simple floral long dress—elegant yet not vulgar, serene like a woman from Jiangnan, gentle and beautiful. Even when cold, her every move still stirred his heart.
This kind of interaction was somewhat difficult to adapt to; however, facing a man as warm as jade like Xue Yiyang, she simply couldn't bring herself to reach out and hit someone who smiled at her.
Turning her head, she looked at the man across from her who was staring at her intently. Her gaze was calm and indifferent. "Just say what you need to say all at once! We shouldn't meet again; I’m married now, and you have a fiancée too. It’s better for us to keep our distance."
"Is that so?" Raising an eyebrow, Xue Yiyang smirked nonchalantly. "In my impression, you're not someone who would force yourself because of others. How come after years apart you've changed your nature?"
"People need to learn to grow up, don't they? Six years can change many things. The Gu Lvq Qi you remember no longer exists; I can't be as naive and carefree as I once was."
