"What's going on? Hurry up and leave!"
She pried his hand off her waist and, when she turned her head, saw someone with a sullen expression. She paused for a moment, instinctively looking in the direction he was staring at, and immediately spotted two figures getting out of a sports car from the other side.
"Is he here to find you?" Pulling her gaze away from Xue Yiyang, Jiang Chengmu coldly turned to the woman beside him, the smile on his handsome face disappearing in an instant.
"Who knows? Let's get in the car quickly!" Not wanting to run into them, she pulled him and turned to get into the car.
But unexpectedly, Jiang Chengmu pulled her back into his embrace, smiling ominously, "Wife, since we've encountered them, let's go over and say hello!"
"..." Meeting his cold eyes, Green Qi trembled slightly and stiffly turned her neck to look away.
"Senior sister, showing off your love in public like this is going to make us envious!" Oruo Yu walked over with Xue Yiyang, a teasing smile on her striking face that was quite eye-catching. She glanced at the handsome Jiang Chengmu beside Green Qi and raised an eyebrow flirtatiously, "Senior sister, why don't you introduce us?"
Before returning to the country, she had heard that Green Qi got married. At that time, she didn't know she had married into the wealthy Jiang family. However, these recent rumors were quite surprising. But given such gossip, it seemed that the marriage wasn't particularly happy.
Seeing them show off their affection in public today made her doubt the authenticity of the news.
"..." Turning her head, Green Qi glanced at the man beside her. Allowing him to hold her like this in public made it difficult for her to refuse him outright. As she hesitated whether to introduce him to them, Jiang Chengmu shot her a glare.
Furrowing his brows, he looked speechlessly at the uncooperative woman in his arms. He snorted lightly and suddenly tightened his hold on her before turning to the two in front of them and politely introduced himself, "I am Jiang Chengmu, Qiqi's husband!"
With a teasing smile on his lips, he glanced at Xue Yiyang's not-so-good expression and said, "What brings you here today, President Xue? What a coincidence!"
"We came here to have a meal with Miss Gu. After all, it's been so many years since we last met, and it's only right to catch up over dinner," Oruo Yu said with a gentle smile, her soft voice sending shivers down Green Qi's spine.
"Is that so?" Jiang Chengmu raised an eyebrow, glanced at his watch, and smiled apologetically at the two across from him. "I'm really sorry, but we have a family gathering today that I can't miss. Let's reschedule for another time! It's getting late, so we'll take our leave now!"
"Alright then! We'll arrange another time!" Seeing their eagerness to leave, Oruo Yu quickly chimed in, seemingly eager for them to depart.
Every minute they lingered here was another minute of heartache for someone, and she couldn't stand seeing Xue Yiyang's lingering feelings for the past.
The cobalt blue sports car quickly disappeared from view. Watching the car fade away, Xue Yiyang took a deep breath and unconsciously clenched his fists; the pain rising in his chest nearly suffocated him.
Noticing his distracted expression, Oruo Yu swiftly concealed the flash of resentment and jealousy in her eyes and linked her arm with Xue Yiyang's. "Yiyang, let's go eat; I'm starving!"
Coming back to his senses, Xue Yiyang glanced at the woman beside him, nodded slightly without saying a word, and turned to walk toward the car.
Inside the quiet carriage, Green Qi turned to look at the cold-faced Jiang Chengmu and teasingly curled her lips. "What's wrong? Is your vanity still not satisfied?"
"So you mean I should be happy?" He turned his head and shot her a cold glance.
Shouldn't rivals feel particularly heated when they meet? The photo incident had not yet settled down, and Jiang Chengmu's calm demeanor in dealing with Xue Yiyang truly surprised her. She had expected him to treat him like a homewrecker and throw a punch instead!
