"Qiqi, why didn't you tell me when you were discharged?" Seeing her get out of the car, Jiang Chengmu hurried over. "Have you had dinner?"
"I just had dinner with Zili and the others. What about you? You haven't been waiting here for several hours, have you?" It had been at least four hours since work ended, and judging by the impatient look on his face, he must have been waiting for a long time.
"What do you think? If you weren't avoiding me, I wouldn't have to wait so long. Do you really not want to see me?"
"That's not it; you're overthinking!" Shaking her head, she turned to give a signal to IKEA behind her to go in first before turning back. "I have to go back to the office tomorrow, so I was discharged early. Aren't you busy lately? Why do you always have time to come here? Are you giving up on the Meihai Resort project?"
"Although I really want that piece of land, Mu Tongzi seems to be gaining more momentum. At this rate, my chances don't look very good, so I've diverted some of my energy to new projects. To be honest, I'm not that busy."
"Since you're not busy, you should go home and visit your elders more often; I don't need you here!"
"How can that be? The only thing I want to do right now is take good care of you. Come back with me; there are caretakers there, and I'll feel more at ease."
Green Qi didn't think twice and directly refused, "No need; IKEA can take care of me."
"Tomorrow is Saturday; don't forget to go back to Jiang Residence."
"I haven't forgotten. Come pick me up tomorrow morning! It's getting late; hurry back and rest."
"Alright..." Unable to argue with her, he could only nod in agreement. "I'll bring breakfast tomorrow morning. What do you want to eat?"
"Anything is fine, just something light."
"Alright, I'll come back tomorrow morning!"
Watching his car leave, Green Qi turned to head upstairs, only to be startled by the man who had appeared out of nowhere.
"When did you arrive?" She patted her racing heart and slowly walked forward.
The dim light illuminated his face. Standing quietly beside the black Bentley Sedan was a handsome figure, having removed his black suit jacket, and the white shirt accentuated his warm and refined appearance.
As she walked in, she noticed Hua Liunian was also in the car. She paused for a moment, and when she saw him wave at her, she stiffly nodded in response before looking up at the man beside her.
"I’m heading back to Beijing tomorrow morning, just wanted to let you know." In truth, he simply wanted to see her. After a busy afternoon, he finally had time to come over; ultimately, it was just to see her for a moment.
"Okay, got it. Did you just get off work? Have you eaten dinner yet?"
Mu Tongzi glanced at the person in the car and replied seriously, "Not yet."
"Oh, then do you want to come up and eat something?" She looked down at her injured right hand and smiled awkwardly. "I can't cook, but IKEA's food is better than mine; it won't torture your stomach."
Upon hearing there was food, Hua Liunian pushed the door open and exclaimed, "If there's food, don't leave me out! I've been starving after staying with him at the office all afternoon!"
"Since Doctor Hua is hungry, let's hurry up!"
Saying this, she turned to glance at Mu Tongzi. Seeing that he had no objections as he took her hand and headed toward the elevator, she felt a slight jolt. Embarrassed, she turned to look back at the smiling man behind her, but the smile on her face suddenly became stiff.
