The team cautiously made their way through the streets of the town, stepping carefully on the worn cobblestones, which echoed softly with each step. The lingering glow of the sunset cast their long shadows across the cobblestone road. The townspeople curiously peeked at the group of unfamiliar visitors, but no one spoke to disturb them.
They arrived at the quaint old cottage where the old man lived. In the garden outside the cottage, various flowers and plants were in full bloom, emitting a delicate fragrance. Bei Lin'er took a deep breath of the floral scent and knocked on the door of the cottage.
Behind the door, an elderly man with white hair slowly opens it. His eyes are deep and full of wisdom, as if they can see through people's hearts.
"Excuse me, have you seen a man like this? Tall stature, stern face, with a head of black hair mixed with a few strands of white," Bei Lin'er asks eagerly, while showing a portrait of her father.
The old man gazed at the portrait, a hint of distant memories flashing in his eyes, and slowly said, "I do remember this gentleman. He appeared here about a year ago. But he only stayed briefly and then left."
Bei Lin'er was filled with disappointment and anxiety, and she asked, "Do you know where he went? Did he mention any whereabouts?"
The old man shook his head and sighed, "He didn't reveal much, only that he was evading pursuit. I could feel the heavy burden and exhaustion on him."
Bei Lin'er's brows furrowed, and her anxiety grew stronger. She thanked the old man for his help and left the cottage with her team.
Night falls, and the team sets up tents in a forest. Bei Lin'er sits by the campfire, gazing at the blazing flames, filled with confusion and thoughts.
Peng Yizhi quietly walks up to her and comforts her softly, "Senior Bei Lin'er, don't worry too much. We still have hope. We will continue to search until we find your father."
Bei Lin'er looked up at him, a hint of gratitude flashing in her eyes: "Thank you, Peng Yizhi. With you all here, I won't give up."
As the night grew late, the team members one by one entered dreamland. Bei Lin'er, however, remained seated by the bonfire, gazing at the starry sky, her thoughts as distant and profound as the stars above.
That night, she dreamed of the childhood palace, and of playing with her father in the garden. It was a carefree and beautiful time, now distant and unreachable.
The next day, led by Bei Lin'er, the team continued on their journey of searching. They crossed rivers, climbed mountains, every step filled with anticipation and determination for the unknown.
On a sunny morning, they arrived at a bustling town. Bei Lin'er led the way into the town, and began asking for news of their father in the market, teahouses, and inns.
However, no matter how many people they asked, the answer was always the same: "I saw him a year ago, but since then, I have no idea."
In the team, Chen couldn't help but speak up: "Bei Lin'er, should we give up?"
Before he could finish his sentence, Peng Yizhi interrupted: "Give up what? Can't you see that your senior sister Bai Ling is already feeling very upset? Why bring this up."
Bei Lin'er took a deep breath, knowing that her teammates were trying to comfort her, but her heart was still filled with unease and worry.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. We can't give up. There must be more clues," Bei Lin'er said firmly.
The team continued to search in the town, not leaving any corner or street unexplored.
As time passed and the sun gradually set in the west, they did not give up. In this endless search, their determination and faith shone like stars, never retreating even in the face of the unknown path ahead.
In a quaint tea house called "Cloud Gap Tea House" in the town of Chenxia, Bei Lin'er and her team sat around a carved wooden table, resting and replenishing their energy. The tea house was decorated in an ancient style, with landscape paintings hanging on the walls and a view of lush bamboo outside the window. Sunlight streamed through the window lattice onto the simple table, creating a tranquil and harmonious atmosphere.
The team members quietly sipped the fragrant tea, enjoying a moment of tranquility. Bei Lin'er still had a look of worry and fatigue in her eyes, but she made an effort to remain calm.
Suddenly, a topic caught their attention. Several local villagers at the nearby table were discussing a mountain range called "Canglong Peak." Their words carried a sense of mystery and awe.
"I heard that there is a miraculous Cymbidium orchid on Canglong Peak that can cure all kinds of illnesses and even prolong life," said an old man with white hair.
"Is this just a legend, has anyone really seen it?" asked a curious middle-aged fisherman.
The old man shook his head, "This mountain is difficult to climb, and ordinary people find it hard to reach. Only a very few fortunate individuals can see this Cymbidium orchid."
Upon hearing this, Bei Lin'er felt a glimmer of hope. She said to Peng Yizhi and the other members of the team, "Let's try to go to Canglong Peak to find this Cymbidium orchid, perhaps it can help my father."
Peng Yizhi nodded in agreement, "This is a glimmer of hope, we should give it a try."
The team decided to set off for Canglong Peak early the next day. That night, Bei Lin'er lay quietly in her tent, lost in thought. She dreamed of walking through a lush mountain forest, searching for the legendary Cymbidium orchid. The scenery in her dream was beautiful and mysterious, as if it had transported her to another world.
In the early morning, when the first rays of sunlight shone through the seams of the tent, Bei Lin'er woke up. She opened the tent to a misty mountain view, with fresh and humid air.
The team packed up their belongings and began their journey towards Canglong Peak. They passed through dense forests, crossed streams, and marched forward with determination.
Along the way, they encountered various difficulties and challenges. The mountain roads were rugged and difficult to traverse, with dense trees blocking out the sun, and occasional appearances of wild beasts. Bei Lin'er and the team members supported each other, overcoming one obstacle after another.
When they arrived at the foot of Canglong Peak, they saw the towering peaks reaching into the clouds, and the mountain ranges winding like dragon's ridges. The journey ahead would be filled with unknowns and dangers, but their hearts were filled with determination and hope.
The team began to climb Canglong Peak. As the altitude increased, the temperature gradually dropped, and the mountain wind became stronger. They shuttled between steep cliffs and valleys, requiring great caution and courage with every step.
Bei Lin'er led the way ahead, each of her steps firm and powerful. She had only one goal in her heart: to find the Cymbidium orchid, which could cure her father and perhaps even lead her to the whereabouts of her father, the king.
