"Give me a handgun, I want an AK-47, or at least a knife!" Before Xiang Xueer could react, the monster's hands had already grabbed her by the neck, lifting her into the air as her legs kicked wildly.
The monster bared its fangs, admiring the fear in her eyes, and then slowly approached Xiang Xueer. Just when she thought she was surely going to die this time, suddenly, with a whoosh, a Silver Serpent Whip flew in from outside the cave, climbing up around the monster's legs and tightly binding its body, arms, and neck.
"Bind!" A clear voice from the entrance of the cave echoed. Instantly, the monster was firmly restrained by the whip, unable to move. The whip coiled like a snake, seemingly trying to tighten its grip on the monster's body.
With a snap, Xiang Xueer was finally saved. She sat on the ground, clutching her nearly crushed throat, and looked up at the struggling monster. It was desperately fighting against the restraints; it seemed that the ropes were not enough to completely subdue it.
With a whoosh, two white tigers charged into the cave. They moved with agility and grace, their fur as white as snow and exuding an extraordinary presence. They leaped over Xiang Xueer's head and pounced on the monster. With their sharp claws raised, they tore into it as if it were mere chunks of meat, reducing it to pieces in just a few seconds amidst its screams and bloodshed.
In less than half an hour since Xiang Xueer opened her eyes, everything that had happened before her was unforgettable: a man-eating monster, a headless corpse in a cave, flying ropes, and two white tigers. My God, what is this place?
"Miss, are you alright?" A gentle voice pierced through the darkness. Xiang Xueer turned to see a slender hand reaching out toward her as she sat helplessly on the ground.
A man? She frowned; he was a young man in his early twenties wearing a blue-black short shirt with a wide black leather belt around his waist and black boots on his feet. His long black hair fell loosely behind him, slightly gathered into a bun. Beneath his black sword-like eyebrows were deep-set eyes with dark pupils that seemed unusually profound. He wore a faint smile at the corner of his mouth that shone like the moon—pure and dazzling. Xiang Xueer couldn't help but stare in awe. A celestial being? No, if such a perfect man existed in this world, she must be dreaming.
Is he human? She hesitated for a moment before frowning and reaching out to grasp his hand. However, her right foot caused her to stumble back into his arms again. He looked down at her foot and said, "It seems you are injured; are you alright?"
Leaning against his sturdy frame and enduring the pain, Xiang Xueer shook her head. "I'm fine; it's just dislocated. Take me out of here; I can handle it myself!"
The man turned to look at the shattered remains of the monster on the ground and addressed the two waiting white tigers beside him: "It's safe here now; you can return to the Void Realm for now."
"Yes!" The two pure white tigers exchanged glances before transforming into wisps of white smoke and vanishing instantly.
The tiger has disappeared. Well, today has already been strange enough, so what's one more oddity? Xiang Xueer was supported by a man as she stumbled out of the cave entrance. Outside the cave was a dense forest, and the moonlight was shining brightly.
Xiang Xueer glanced sideways at the man and asked warily, "Who are you? How did you end up in this place?"
The man helped her sit on a stone, and his gaze suddenly fell on Xiang Xueer's arm, revealing a look of astonishment on his face. "Are you also an Exorcist? From the Ouyang Family?"
"What?" Xiang Xueer was confused by the question. She looked down at her clothes and realized she was wearing a long red dress. She reached up to touch her hair and found that she had two round buns on her head, resembling two steamed buns, adorned with various hairpins and floral decorations.
What Exorcist? What Ouyang Family? And what’s with this floral hairstyle? She touched her perfectly shaped chest and exclaimed, "Oh my god, what is happening? Who is this? No, who am I?"
