In the spacious KV Room, the exquisite crystal chandelier cast shattered rainbow lights. A girl in a strapless mini skirt held a microphone and softly sang along to the accompaniment, her body swaying gently to the rhythm of the music. Occasionally, she turned around and threw a few flirtatious glances at the Rich Young Master sitting behind her.
Less than three meters away, a girl in a black slip dress squatted on the floor in distress. Despite her pale complexion, her eyes remained fixed on the bathroom door in front of her. She had been squatting there for over ten minutes.
The girl who had just been singing could no longer bear to watch. She slammed the microphone down on the table, twisted her waist, and navigated around the scattered beer bottles on the floor, rushing over to Black Slip Dress Girl. After glancing at Black Slip Dress Girl's pale face, she angrily kicked the door, shouting, "Is someone dead in there? It's been so long! Did they get washed away by the water?"
The noisy private room fell silent as everyone turned their attention to this side.
Off-Shoulder Mini Skirt Girl showed no signs of stopping; she raised her hand again and pounded on the bathroom door forcefully. "Make some noise! Is someone dead in there?"
Still, there was no sound from inside the bathroom. At that moment, Black Slip Dress Girl had already slumped to the floor, sweat trickling down her forehead and sticking her hair to her skin. Off-Shoulder Mini Skirt Girl began to feel a bit scared. She crouched down and gently brushed aside the hair sticking to Black Slip Dress Girl's face. "Hey, Autumn Wind, what's wrong? Don't do anything crazy!" She started shaking the arm of the girl named Autumn Wind, anxiously saying, "Come on, I'll take you to the bathroom downstairs!"
Just then, the bathroom door suddenly swung open, and a Bald Man stepped out. Behind him was a disheveled, flushed Red-Haired Woman. The girl in the strapless skirt was completely enraged now; she placed her hands on her hips and was about to unleash a torrent of curses when a pair of hands tightly grabbed her arms. Immediately after, Autumn Wind's weak voice came through, " Yao Yao, don't start yelling; help me get inside first; I can't hold it anymore!"
Yao Yao had no choice but to suppress her emotions and bent down to support Autumn Wind. Autumn Wind held her stomach and used her foot to prop open the door. She glanced at the toilet and then looked at Yao Yao, signaling for her to help clean it up as she was worried about any dirty fluids left behind by that couple.
Yao Yao quickly grabbed the spray nozzle and rushed over to clean the toilet seat before laying down a thick layer of toilet paper. Once everything was tidied up, Autumn Wind sat down while Yao Yao gently closed the bathroom door.
Sitting on the toilet, after venting her discomfort, Autumn Wind finally felt relief wash over her. She let out a long sigh and took a piece of toilet paper to gently wipe the sweat from her forehead. On the wall in front of the toilet hung a mirror reflecting her face slowly turning from pale to rosy. Just thinking about how close she came to being unable to hold it made Autumn Wind chuckle softly.
After resolving her urgent physiological needs, Autumn Wind stood up and walked over to the sink to wash her hands before starting to fix her hair. At that moment, raised voices from outside caught her attention. Startled, she quickly opened the door only to find that it wasn't Yao Yao arguing but rather the recently emerged Red-Haired Woman and another short-haired woman in a V-neck dress.
Quietly closing the door again, Autumn Wind tiptoed over to Yao Yao, gently nudging her. "Hey, what's going on? Why are they arguing?"
Yao Yao placed a finger over her lips. "Shh! Keep it down! Didn't you see that the male lead is standing between them?"
Looking up, Autumn Wind saw that the bald man stood awkwardly between two women. "Who are you..." she blinked at Yao Yao.
"I have nothing at all! Come on, let's change places and watch those two idiots argue. It's boring!" Yao Yao finished, pulling on Autumn Wind's arm with one hand while holding her diamond-studded bag with the other.
"But you, weren't you going to flirt with that guy?" Autumn Wind pouted towards the Rich Young Master who had just exchanged glances with Yao Yao.
"Him? He's already married with a bunch of kids. Just some flirting is enough! Let's go!" Yao Yao dragged Autumn Wind out of the KV Room.
Once outside the private room, they turned and walked down the stairs, standing in the corridor on the first floor. Yao Yao pretended to casually scan the private rooms on both sides of the corridor, her steps slow as she occasionally played with her wavy hair.
Soon, she had chosen her next battlefield, which was the private room closest to the restroom in the lobby. She quickly took out a mirror and touched up her makeup. After everything was in order, she glanced back at Autumn Wind following her and pushed her chest forward, her fair skin immediately becoming prominent. "This is it! How do I look? Pretty, right?"
Autumn Wind tiptoed closer to Yao Yao's chest, noticing the pink fabric that was somewhat revealing. "What are you trying to do? Isn't this a bit much?"
"Much? Look over there, that guy inside!" Yao Yao glanced towards the KV room, sticking out her tongue to lick her lips, her eyes gleaming with greed.
Following Yao Yao's gaze, Autumn Wind looked into the private room and saw a man wearing a hip-hop hat tilted to one side, focused on playing with his phone.
Autumn Wind suddenly realized this was the man who had exchanged flirtatious glances with Yao Yao during today's recording. "So your target tonight is..." Autumn Wind's eyes widened in disbelief as she processed what she thought might be true.
"Shh, don't say anything... they're coming in!" Yao Yao interrupted Autumn Wind and directly linked arms with her as they pushed open the door to the private room.
As soon as they entered, people immediately surrounded them with enthusiasm.
"Why did you two take so long to get here?"
"Is your bag a new model?"
"Your earrings are so beautiful; they must be limited edition!"
Everyone immediately mingled together, making it hard to believe that they weren't very familiar with each other, and some people had never even met Autumn Wind before.
Autumn Wind sighed and sat at the edge of the sofa. At that moment, Yao Yao stealthily jumped next to the hip-hop guy and quickly struck up a lively conversation.
In fact, Autumn Wind and Yao Yao weren't particularly close; their relationship could only be described as acquaintances. Yao Yao was a senior one grade above Autumn Wind, and they had only seen each other a few times during grade social events.
During the recording today, as Qiu Feng's assistant, Autumn Wind helped keep an eye on Yao Yao's bag. After the recording, they chatted for a bit. When Yao Yao learned that Autumn Wind hadn't gone out at night in a long time, she immediately took on a big sister persona, saying, "You just stay home watching TV at night? That's so boring! Tonight, I'm taking you out!"
Autumn Wind had no interest in Taiwan's nightlife and found an excuse to decline: "No thanks, it's not safe to go home too late at night!"
"What do you mean not safe? I will definitely take you home tonight! Let's go!" Yao Yao scrolled through her phone. "It's settled then! I'm going to record next door first, so remember to wait for me!"
By the time they finished the last recording, it was already dark. Qiu Feng's husband came to pick her up, and Autumn Wind stood alone by the roadside waiting for a taxi. Just then, Yao Yao appeared again, enthusiastically inviting her out. Unable to resist Yao Yao's insistence, Autumn Wind reluctantly agreed and followed her to the karaoke venue.
Yao Yao was a public figure, and her other identity was that of a "Star Second Generation." Unfortunately, her parents passed away in a car accident before she turned eighteen. Although she entered the entertainment industry with some benefits from her parents' fame, those advantages had long since diminished. Despite carrying the "Star Second Generation" label, Yao Yao's path in showbiz was not as smooth as one might imagine.
Thinking about Yao Yao's background brought an inexplicable sadness to Autumn Wind's heart. Her nose tinged with emotion, and tears quickly filled her eyes. However, she soon realized that in such a lively and noisy environment, her tears and sadness felt out of place.
She quickly lowered her head to grab a tissue from her bag to wipe her eyes but felt someone gently touch her arm. Autumn Wind hurriedly looked up to see a heavily made-up face in front of her. A soft voice immediately followed: "Hi, it's really you, Autumn Wind! You don't remember me? I'm A-Ruo!" She lightly tossed her hair and shook the cup in her hand.
Autumn Wind's mind raced, but she couldn't find any memory related to A-Ruo. She awkwardly smiled and replied dismissively, "Oh, it's you! Long time no see!" To prevent A-Ruo from noticing the tears in her eyes, she quickly picked up the cup in front of her filled with light yellow liquid. "Here, let's drink!"
Afterward, she slightly nodded at A-Ruo and raised her cup gently before tilting her head back to let the liquid flow down her throat into her stomach, which immediately felt a burning sensation.
A-Ruo seemed taken aback by Autumn Wind's boldness; her expression slowly stiffened as she took a small sip of alcohol. Her lips trembled slightly as she said, "You enjoy yourself first; I need to go to the toilet!" With that, she stood up, put down her cup, and hurried toward the restroom.
Autumn Wind was left bewildered as she watched A-Ruo fumble with the cup on the table.
The alcohol that had just entered her stomach quickly took effect; a wave of heat washed over her. Double vision began to cloud Autumn Wind's sight as she gasped for air; her head started to ache while her body felt uncontrollable. She leaned heavily against the sofa.
At that moment, someone in the private room suggested, "Shall we continue the party? Let's go to a nightclub! Raise your hand if you agree!"
This suggestion was immediately met with enthusiasm from everyone, and in an instant, the lively group that had been drinking was swept away as if by a typhoon.
Autumn Wind weakly leaned on the sofa, watching the suddenly empty private room as if she were dreaming. Yao Yao and the Hip-Hop Guy were intimately glued together, passing by Autumn Wind. Yao Yao, having some conscience, turned back and smiled sweetly at Autumn Wind just as she was about to miss her. She charmingly said, "Don't just stand there, come along! Remember 'r18,' I'll be waiting for you!"
"Yeah, I'll be there in a bit..." Autumn Wind replied vaguely.
Before Autumn Wind could finish, Yao Yao and the Hip-Hop Guy helped each other out of the private room.
Autumn Wind tried to push herself up from the sofa, but her arms began to tremble slightly. The entire space around her started to sway, her eyelids grew heavier and heavier until they finally closed. Her legs began to weaken, and then she fell heavily to the ground.
In a daze, Autumn Wind felt someone enter the room. She thought it must be a waiter coming in to clean up, so she forced herself to try to stand up. However, her body felt sore and powerless; she couldn't muster any strength at all.
Feeling someone approach her, she reached out her hand, hoping that person would help her up. The person's face came close to hers, softly calling her name. After that, Autumn Wind completely lost consciousness.
