Two years have passed in the blink of an eye, and now it's time for the first Magician Inspection Evaluation at Noah Academy.
Nine-year-old Sophia and Morris walked into the examination hall of Noah Academy, feeling as if they had entered an arena in a different world.
This spacious hall looks more like a huge polygonal arena, with the floor embedded with shimmering Turquoise and silver runes, every detail exuding a Western fantasy atmosphere.
The audience seats on all sides are supported by magnificent stone pillars, each inscribed with various mysterious magical symbols. The high ceiling is adorned with images of The Goddess of Light, Su Lea and The Dark God Othus, as if to tell everyone the profound significance of this examination.
In the center of the stage, a silver-haired, gorgeously dressed old wizard stands in a huge magic circle. He holds a magic wand in his hand and uses simple beginner's magic to create a wind-formed amplifier, perfectly transmitting his voice throughout the entire venue. So, despite the spacious venue and large crowd, everyone can clearly hear what he is saying.
"Listen up, students of Magic school. The exam will be divided into two parts: theoretical test and practical combat exercises. We will be evaluating your magical application abilities and combat knowledge. The purpose of this exam is to understand your level so that we can more effectively guide your future learning path."
He carefully explained the exam rules to over a thousand freshmen, and as soon as his voice fell, the magic array suddenly emitted a dazzling light, dividing the entire hall into multiple areas, each surrounded by a specific magic array, as if to guide each student to the place of trial they would face.
Sophia and Morris were led to a small classroom, but this classroom was far from ordinary. The wooden desks and chairs emitted an ancient luster, and the walls were adorned with various ancient magical tomes and mysterious tapestries. The exam papers lay flat on the desks, featuring not only written questions but also a small magic array for practical application questions.
The papers covered a wide range of topics, from basic magical theory to complex spell structures, and even included challenges that required the use of magical mathematical formulas for analysis.
Sophia felt a surge in her heart, picked up her magic quill, and instantly entered a state of intense focus. Her pen moved as fast as the wind, shining brightly as it swiftly swept across the exam paper.
Morris was equally determined, with eyes as sharp as an eagle's, his pen dancing across the paper. Every spell, every answer, seemed to be the result of precise calculation and deep contemplation.
In less than twenty minutes, the two of them almost simultaneously picked up their test papers, handed them to the teacher, and stepped out of the classroom. There were still many lower-grade students buried in writing in the classroom, and the teacher in charge of collecting the papers also looked astonished, watching them confidently walk out of the classroom.
After passing the theoretical test, the two of them proceeded to the practical exam, where they had to face an illusionary monster created by a magician within a huge magic circle.
Everyone will start by challenging a one-star monster, and after winning, they can continue to challenge higher-level monsters until they are unable to succeed. During this time, the evaluation will be based on the use of student magic operations and tactical skills.
Sophia stood in the center of the magic circle, wearing her "Wanderer of the Mist" wizard robe, and stared intently at the illusionary monster in front of her - a three-star flame wolf.
She waved the "Key of the Celestial Realm" and chanted a spell. In an instant, an ice arrow shot out from her staff, piercing directly through the flame wolf's head. The monster disappeared, and the magic circle emitted a beam of light, symbolizing that she had passed the test.
On the other side, Morris's opponent is a three-star earth giant. He uses the magic of wind and thunder to successfully blast the earth giant into pieces.
"You performed quite remarkably, Sophia," Morris smiled at her, excitement shining in his green eyes.
"You too, Morris. Especially that storm lightning strike, it was just like a signature move of an imperial knight," Sophia responded, her blue eyes seemingly able to see through people's hearts.
"It seems that over the past two years, we have both experienced some amazing growth in strength," Morris set down his staff and smiled at Sophia.
"Well said, but this is just the beginning," Sophia tightened her grip on her Key of the Celestial Realm.
Later, the two of them successively defeated the three-star magical beasts that only a junior ninth-level mage could face in actual combat, causing astonishment among the surrounding teachers and students. All of this was witnessed by the surrounding teachers and students, and even the examiners couldn't help but show a satisfied smile.
The examination hall itself was a well-built hall, with a circular structure made of white marble. Various magical lanterns hung from the ceiling, providing soft and bright light. At the center of the hall was a huge magic array, with intricate patterns emitting a mysterious glow. The observation seats were located around the hall in the form of raised platforms, providing a perfect view for both teachers and students.
In a certain part of the examination room, three distinguished figures in magnificent robes are paying close attention to everything that is happening.
Meanwhile, after easily passing all the preliminary tests, Sophia and Morris are now requesting to take on further challenges.
The teacher stared in amazement at the two and said, "Are you sure? The next challenge will be facing intermediate-level magical beasts! Intermediate-level magical beasts are different from the beginner-level ones with three stars or less. They already have a certain level of intelligence and will start to think about tactics and combat. It won't be easy to fight them."
Seeing that Sophia and Morris were very determined, the instructor said, "Well, when facing intermediate-level or higher magical beasts, you need to team up. The two of you will challenge it together, and if you succeed, you will pass the test."
