Chapter 42
Lu Weize pushed the door open and led me inside.
The private room was quite lively, with Yang Ming, Zhao Li, and a few unfamiliar faces present.
As soon as they saw me, everyone fell silent.
Lu Weize took me to the sofa and pressed me down onto it. "Sit here and wait for me for a moment."
I nodded.
Lu Weize looked at everyone. "Let me introduce you. This is my girlfriend, Lin Chu. You can call her Sister Lu."
"Sister Lu!" everyone shouted in unison.
I awkwardly lowered my head.
Lu Weize sat by the pool table, playing billiards with Zhao Xinghai and the others.
I sat alone in the corner of the sofa, feeling a bit lonely.
Li Min came over and sat next to me. "Sister Lu, my name is Li Min. I'm Brother Lu's friend."
I nodded at her. "Hello."
Li Min looked at my profile. "Sister Lu, you are really beautiful."
I felt shy from her compliment. "Thank you."
Li Min leaned closer to me and whispered, "Sister Lu, how did you and Brother Lu get together?"
I was stunned for a moment: "Uh..." Li Xin saw me hesitate and waved her hand: "I'm just curious. If you don't want to talk about it, forget it." I forced a smile: "I'll go to the bathroom." I got up and left the private room. Outside the bathroom, Yang Ming and several female classmates stood in front of the mirror to put on makeup. "Yang Ming, when will you and Brother Lu make up?" She picked up the microphone: "Who wants to duet with me?"
"I'll do it!"
"I'll duet with Yang Ming!"
Several boys eagerly volunteered.
Suddenly, Lu Weize stood up. He walked over to Zhao Li with a cold expression and stared at her: "Who are you?"
Zhao Li felt intimidated under his gaze: "I... I'm Zhao Li."
Lu Weize looked at everyone: "I'll say it again, I don't want to sing, so don't randomly pick songs!"
My expression grew darker.
The classmates in the private room, except for Li Min, all looked at me with disdain.
I couldn't stand the atmosphere anymore and stood up to leave.
Lu Weize caught up to me and grabbed my arm: "Lin Chu, where are you going?"
I didn't say a word and forcefully grabbed Lu Weize's collar.
All the boys present were dumbfounded: "Sister-in-law, what are you doing…?"
Lu Weize also looked at me in surprise.
Suddenly, I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Lu Weize's lips.
This was her first time taking the initiative to kiss him.
I kissed him fiercely, even aggressively.
Lu Weize was momentarily stunned by my kiss, but after realizing what was happening, he held the back of my head and gently responded to me.

I don't know how long it had been, but I pushed open the door and ran out of the bar.
Lu Weize chased after me.
"Lin Chu!" Lu Weize grabbed my arm.
I shook off his hand, feeling agitated. "Lu Weize, you idiot!"
Lu Weize looked a bit confused by my outburst. "What did I do?"
I glared at him, remaining silent.
Lu Weize held my hand. "What’s wrong with you?"
I continued to glare at him.
Lu Weize felt uneasy under my stare. "Lin Chu, just say something. Don't scare me."
Suddenly, I hugged him tightly, burying my face in his chest. "Lu Weize, you don't know anything..."
Lu Weize gently ruffled my hair. "I know, I know you don't like Yang Ming. I won't bring her out anymore."
I shook my head. "It's not because of that..."
"Then what is it because of?"
I fell silent.
I couldn't possibly tell Lu Weize that I was jealous.
Seeing that I wouldn't speak, Lu Weize gently patted my back. "Lin Chu, if there's anything bothering you, just say it. Don't keep it all inside."
I sniffed and said, "Lu Weize, I want to go home."
"Okay, I'll take you back."
Lu Weize took my hand and walked toward the street.
Suddenly, a voice came from behind us: "What are you two doing?"
We turned around to see Qiao Qiran holding several skewers of grilled meat, with one in his mouth.
The three of us exchanged glances, and the atmosphere became a bit awkward.
Qiao Qiran took the skewer out of his mouth and asked, "What are you two doing?"
Lu Weize looked a bit embarrassed and annoyed. "What are you doing here?"
Qiao Qiran raised the skewers in his hand. "I bought these for Lin Chu."
He walked up to me and handed them over. "Lin Chu, here you go."
I took the skewers and quietly said, "Thank you."
Qiao Qiran smiled and replied, "You're welcome."
He then turned to Lu Weize and asked, "Do you want some?"
Lu Weize frowned. "No!"
Qiao Qiran sighed. "Fine, if you don't want any, I'll treat you to braised pig's trotters instead."
The streetlight by the alley had not been repaired for years, flickering dimly.
The shadows of the three of us intertwined on the ground, creating a tense atmosphere.
Qiao Qiran looked at me and mocked, "Lu Weize, you really can't change your ways; you're still bullying Lin Chu!"
Lu Weize frowned slightly, "I didn't bully her."
"If you didn't bully her, then why is she crying?" Qiao Qiran said, turning to me. "Did he bully you? Tell me, and I'll help you teach him a lesson!"
I wiped my tears and said, "No, it's just that I wasn't having fun and ran out."
Qiao Qiran replied irritably, "Are you blaming me?"
"No," I shook my head vigorously, "It's my own problem; I just didn't want to stay there."
"Do you know why you didn't want to stay there?" Qiao Qiran pointed at Lu Weize and said angrily, "Because all of Lu Weize's friends are idiots!"
Lu Weize's expression darkened. "Qiao Qiran, watch your mouth!"
Ignoring him, Qiao Qiran continued to speak to me, "And Lu Weize is an idiot too!"
"Qiao Qiran!" Lu Weize angrily grabbed his collar. "Try saying that again!"
Qiao Qiran looked at him coldly. "Isn't it true? You think you're so impressive, but to others, you're just an idiot!"
Lu Weize glared at him, his eyes bloodshot.
Qiao Qiran looked at him without fear, directly meeting his gaze. "Lu Weize, if you really like Lin Chu, you should understand her world."
Lu Weize was taken aback for a moment and slowly released him.
Qiao Qiran adjusted his collar and looked at me. "You don't understand her at all. You only know how to treat her well in your own way, but you never consider whether she needs that kind of kindness."
Lu Weize lowered his head, remaining silent.
Qiao Qiran leaned closer to him and lowered his voice. "Your worldview is simply wrong." After saying that, Qiao Qiran walked past him into the depths of the alley.
Chapter 43
Lu Weize watched his retreating figure, lost in thought.
I walked up to him and gently tugged at his sleeve. "Lu Weize."
He snapped back to reality and smiled slightly at me. "Let's go; I'll take you back to school."
"I don't want to go back," I said, looking down and kicking the stones on the ground. "I want to be with you."
Lu Weize ruffled my hair and said softly, "Okay."
Qiao Qiran returned to the bar and placed the skewers in front of Yang Ming. "Eat up."
Yang Ming glanced at them. "I don't eat junk food like that."
Qiao Qiran smirked, "I specially bought this for Lin Chu. If you don't eat it, you're out of luck."
Yang Ming frowned, "What do you mean by that?"
Qiao Qiran looked at her with sharp eyes, "Yang Ming, I know you have issues with Lin Chu, but I warn you, if you dare to bully her, I won't let you off the hook!"
Yang Ming's expression changed, "Qiao Qiran, you..."
Qiao Qiran shot her a cold glance, his gaze slowly sweeping over every classmate present, "Listen up, I don't care what opinions you have about Lin Chu. As long as I find out that any of you are bullying her, I'll make sure you regret it!"
The classmates were frightened by his fierce demeanor and lowered their heads, not daring to meet his gaze.
After throwing down this statement, Qiao Qiran turned and walked out of the private room.
Yang Ming watched his retreating figure, clenching her fists tightly, her fingertips digging into her palms.
Qiao Qiran, how dare you threaten me? Just wait!
In the class group chat, the girls began to gossip about me.
"Lin Chu is so shameless, daring to kiss Lu Weize in front of everyone."
"Exactly, she's too arrogant!"
"How could someone like her ever be worthy of Lu Weize?"
"I really don't understand why Lu Weize would even like her!"
Qiao Qiran couldn't help but speak up for me, saying, "Don't bully Lin Chu!"
"Hey, Qiao Qiran, why are you defending Lin Chu? Do you like her or something?" one girl retorted.
Qiao Qiran shot back, "None of your business!"
The girl was left speechless.
Suddenly, Lu Weize, who had been silent, tagged everyone in the group chat—
"Shut the hell up!"
"Lin Chu is my girlfriend. Anyone who bullies her is bullying me, Lu Weize."
"If anyone has a problem, feel free to come find me."
"I'm always ready to take you on!"
