Yi Jun put down the apple and looked at me calmly.
"Yi Jun, what do you want to do?"
"I want to be with you."
His answer was direct and honest.
I shuddered and instinctively took a step back.
"Yi Jun, please don't do this..."
"What am I doing?"
He walked over and leaned close to my face.
His nose was touching mine.
I instinctively closed my eyes, trembling with nervousness.
He raised his hand to smooth my messy hair.
"Lanlan," he said, his voice low, "why are you afraid of me?"
"I'm not afraid of you..."
"Then why can't you look at me?"
I opened my eyes and looked at him.
Yi Jun's eyes glimmered with a hint of crimson.
He quietly stared at me, his gaze swirling with intense possessiveness.
I instinctively wanted to break free, but he firmly pressed down on my shoulder.
"Yi Jun, please don't do this."
"Lanlan," he leaned closer to me, "don't push me away anymore, okay?"
My body stiffened, and my voice trembled. "Yi Jun, please don't do this. I already have someone I like..."
"You’re lying."
He chuckled softly, his lips just an inch away from mine.
"Lanlan," his breath brushed against my ear, "your heartbeat has betrayed you."
I was trapped by Yi Jun.
This private hospital felt like a small island, surrounded by the sea; I couldn't escape.
My phone was taken by Yi Jun, and I had no way to contact the outside world.
The doctor and nurse keep their distance from me; they seem to be afraid of Yi Jun.
Yi Jun comes by every day, usually in the evening.
He sits down to chat with me, talking about trivial matters.
Occasionally, he affectionately touches my hair or holds my hand.
My body instinctively shrinks back, showing strong resistance.
Yi Jun does not push me.
He just looks at me and smiles helplessly.
“Lanlan, you are still the same as when you were a child.”
I remember when I was young, I would always mention Yi Jun's name.
I would smile and tell everyone, “Yi Jun will definitely become very wealthy in the future!”
In middle school, I loved banana-flavored milk, but the school store didn’t sell it.
Yi Jun traveled all the way from the city to buy it for me.
It was the first time he skipped class, and naturally, he got caught by the teacher.
In college, rumors spread about Yi Jun and the campus beauty.
I cried until my eyes were red and swollen, running to the boys' dormitory and refusing to leave.
Yi Jun came downstairs in the early morning, holding me and repeatedly telling me that he only loved me.
"Lanlan," Yi Jun's voice pulled me back to reality, "I'm getting married tomorrow."
"…"
I tiredly closed my eyes.
"Don't you have anything you want to say to me?"
I shook my head.
I was very tired; I didn't want to torment each other anymore.
I hoped we could end things gracefully.
"Is it that easy for you to start and then just as easily end?"
Yi Jun seemed somewhat dissatisfied with me.
"Luo Lan, do you think I'm easy to fool?"
"I don't."
"Then why do you always try to push me away?"
I looked at him and calmly said, "If you really want me, I can die."
"Do you really not want to be with me?"
The anger in Yi Jun's eyes gradually surged.
"Luo Lan, since you want to die so much, why didn't you just die back then?"
My answer remained the same: "If you really want me, I can die."
"Then go die!"
Yi Jun stood up, looking down at me, the anger in his gaze surging like a tide.
"Luo Lan," he sneered, "you really make me feel sick."
He turned and walked away, the sunset shining through the slats of the blinds onto his back.
He was like a trapped beast in the woods, no matter how hard he tried, he could not escape the forest.
