Jade Emperor On the throne in the palace, gazed deeply at Wu Sheng and Hang Lin, and solemnly said, "You have made great contributions to the immortal realm, but Liang Jing's soul is not beyond saving. There is a long-lost artifact called the 'Ghostly Lotus Terrace' that is said to have the power to retrieve lost souls."
Wu Sheng and Hang Lin exchanged a determined look. Hang Lin asked, "Great Emperor, where is this artifact now? How should we go about finding it?"
Jade Emperor gazed into the distance and said, "The Ghostly Lotus Terrace has always been a mystery. It last appeared in a secret realm in the mortal world called 'Phantom Abyss'."
Wu Sheng immediately responded, "We will go there at once and surely retrieve the Ghostly Lotus Terrace."
Jade Emperor nodded, with a hint of worry in his eyes: "The Phantom Abyss is extremely dangerous, you must be extremely careful."
Wu Sheng and Hang Lin left the celestial palace and embarked on a journey to find the Ghostly Lotus Terrace. They arrived in the mortal realm, traversing dense forests and steep ridges, and eventually reached the entrance to the Phantom Abyss.
The Phantom Abyss is a deep canyon shrouded in mist, surrounded by silence. Only the faint hissing sound of the wind can be heard when it blows through.
Wu Sheng and Hang Lin cautiously enter the abyss.
They found that the space here seemed to be distorted, often taking a step and the scenery would change instantly.
They continued to advance in the mist, sometimes encountering illusory attacks, and sometimes encountering actual monsters. Wu Sheng often cut through the illusions with a sword, while Hang Lin dispersed the monsters with thunder and lightning.
The mist in the abyss coils like a living creature, with Wu Sheng and Hang Lin cautiously shuttling through it. In this silent canyon, a low and eerie sound suddenly emanates, like a distant call and a whisper in the ear.
"What is that sound?" Hang Lin asked in a low voice, looking around warily.
Wu Sheng's expression turned serious as he felt that these sounds seemed to carry some ominous power. "Be careful, these sounds may be one of the trials of the Illusion Abyss. They might be trying to deceive us."
The sound in the mist fluctuates, sometimes like distant thunder and other times like a soft laughter by the ear. These sounds constantly change, making it difficult to determine the direction of Wu Sheng and Hang Lin.
Hang Lin tries to close her eyes and use her spiritual sense to perceive the surrounding environment, but those sounds seem to disturb her perception, making it difficult for her to concentrate.
Wu Sheng then gripped the sword in his hand, and its tip drew out streaks of light in the mist. "We cannot be led by these voices; we must find our own path."
Just then, an illusion appeared before them, resembling an old man with a gentle smile, reaching out to guide them. "This way, here is the way out," the old man's voice was gentle and alluring.
Hang Lin hesitated for a moment, but Wu Sheng felt something was wrong. He frowned and said, "Wait, this could be a trap of illusion."
Wu Sheng decided to trust his instincts and guided Hang Lin to continue moving forward instead of following the old man's guidance. Sure enough, the old man's figure gradually became distorted and eventually dissipated into a mist.
Hang Lin whispered, "Your judgment is correct. Those voices and illusions are trying to deceive us."
Wu Sheng nodded, "We must remain vigilant and not be disturbed by external influences."
As they continued to venture deeper, the phantom voices in the mist became more and more frequent, sometimes sad cries, sometimes urgent calls. Wu Sheng and Hang Lin pressed on unwaveringly, unaffected by these voices.
Finally, after a long search, they emerged from the mist and arrived at an open space. Here, the light was bright, forming a sharp contrast with the previous dark mist.
Wu Sheng also breathed a sigh of relief, "Yes, but our journey is far from over. There are more challenges ahead of us."
They continued on, setting out on the path to find the Ghostly Lotus Terrace, filled with determination and anticipation in their hearts.
Wu Sheng and Hang Lin arrived at a mysterious and unpredictable forest after crossing the depths of the illusion. Towering ancient trees cast clear silhouettes of their leaves in the sunlight, but the entire forest seemed to be filled with an unsettling atmosphere.
"The atmosphere here feels a bit off," Hang Lin said, looking around vigilantly.
Wu Sheng nodded in agreement, sensing the hidden power within the forest. "We need to be careful, there may be some unknown secrets here."
They had just entered the forest when they felt the change in the air around them. A cold breath seemed to be coming from all directions, accompanied by a gentle rustling of the wind, as if an invisible presence was moving around.
Suddenly, a ghostly figure flashed in front of them and then disappeared into the dense trees. Wu Sheng and Hang Lin exchanged a glance, knowing that this forest was not as simple as it seemed.
"We need to remain highly vigilant," Wu Sheng said in a low voice, tightly gripping the sword in hand, ready to respond to any potential danger.
They continued to venture deeper into the forest, the surrounding scenery starting to distort, the branches of the trees seeming to sway gently, and the fallen leaves on the ground whispering.
Hang Lin Using the power of thunder to sense the surrounding environment, but she found that her perception seemed to be disturbed. "The space here seems to be distorted, and my thunder power cannot penetrate completely."
Wu Sheng uses their starlight power to explore the path ahead. As they walk through the forest, they occasionally encounter ghostly figures. These ghosts whisper and scream, their voices both ethereal and terrifying.
During a sudden ghostly attack, Wu Sheng swiftly wielded his sword, and the sword energy pierced the void like starlight, cutting the ghost in half. However, the ghost reformed after being cut, as if it had never been injured.
Hang Lin then formed a protective barrier with the power of wind and thunder, dispersing the approaching ghosts. "It seems that these ghosts cannot be defeated by ordinary means."
As time passed, they gradually realized that these ghosts were not real threats. The real challenge was to find the way forward in this psychedelic forest.
Wu Sheng closed his eyes, trying to feel everything around him with his mind. "We cannot be deceived by these illusions; we must feel with our hearts."
Hang Lin and then closed their eyes, focusing on their own perception. With their joint efforts, they finally found a hidden path that seemed to lead deep into the forest.
They proceeded along the path, and the ghostly voices gradually faded, while the surrounding air became fresh.
