A few days later, Evan and Michelle were invited to another friend's wedding. At this ceremony, they once again felt the festive atmosphere around them and the societal expectations for marriage.
Despite gaining a new understanding of marriage, the social pressure still troubled them.
At the wedding reception, a relative approached them and struck up a conversation. The relative's words were filled with curiosity: "Evan, Michelle, seeing how loving you are, are you also considering getting married?"
Evan and Michelle glanced at each other, and then Evan replied, "We don't have specific plans at the moment, but we both cherish each other very much. Whatever the future holds, we will walk together."
The relatives nodded, seeming somewhat disappointed, but still wished them well: "That's great. The most important thing in love is mutual support and understanding. Wishing you happiness!"
As the relatives left, Michelle quietly said to Evan, "Evan, did you feel uncomfortable with that question just now?"
Evan shook his head gently and replied with a smile, "Actually, my views on marriage have changed. I am no longer so averse to it. I'm just worried about my health condition..."
Michelle felt surprised, but then a gentle smile appeared on her face. "Evan, no matter what your health is like, I am willing to spend every day with you. Marriage, to me, is no longer a burden, but another form of our love."
Evan's heart was filled with gratitude as he reached out and held Michelle's hand, warmly saying, "Michelle, hearing you say that makes me feel so happy. We can consider every step of the future together, whether it's marriage or anything else."
During the wedding ceremony, as the couple exchanged vows, Evan and Michelle gazed at each other, their hearts filled with dreams and promises for the future. The happiness of the couple seemed to infect every guest at that moment, including Evan and Michelle.
As the wedding progressed, the guests took turns to bless the newlyweds. Evan and Michelle also stepped forward to offer their sincerest wishes. The bride smiled at them and said, "You two really look perfect together. I hope to attend your wedding one day."
Evan smiled and replied, "Thank you for your blessings. We also wish you both eternal happiness."
After the wedding ended, as they stepped out of the banquet hall, the stars in the night sky twinkled, adding a touch of romance to this special evening. Michelle leaned on Evan's shoulder and softly said, "Today's wedding was beautiful. Watching them so happy, I feel like we should consider our future too."
Evan nodded, his eyes shining with determination. "Yes, Michelle. Our future should be decided together. Whether it's marriage or anything else, as long as we're together, that's the best choice."
They slowly walked in the night, discussing possible future wedding plans. Michelle imagined a simple but warm ceremony, while Evan hoped for a small, intimate celebration. Their conversation was filled with love and anticipation, and every possibility for the future excited them.
On the way home, Evan suddenly stopped and gazed into Michelle's eyes, saying seriously, "Michelle, no matter what we decide in the future, I want you to know that you are the most important to me. I love you, not just now, but every day in the future."
Michelle's eyes shimmered with tears as she responded emotionally, "Evan, I love you too. The time we've spent together has been the most precious time of my life. No matter what the future holds, I will walk with you."
They held each other tightly, and the stars in the night sky seemed to bear witness to their love. In that moment, their souls were deeply connected, and though the future path was unknown, they believed that as long as they were together, nothing was impossible.
Since that evening, Evan and Michelle have started to discuss their future more seriously, including possible wedding plans.
Whatever decision they make, their support and love for each other will be their strongest support.
In the next few days, Evan and Michelle began to slowly outline their dream wedding. They spread out notebooks on the living room sofa and discussed every detail.
"Evan, where do you think we should have the wedding?" Michelle asked, her eyes shining with anticipation.
Evan thought for a moment and then said, "I've always wanted to have a simple ceremony by the beach. Just us and our closest family and friends, feeling the romance and vastness of the ocean."
Michelle smiled and nodded, her eyes filled with dreams: "That would be so romantic. I can imagine the scene, the sea breeze, the sunset, and our smiles."
They jotted down their ideas in a notebook, from the wedding venue to the decor style, from the menu to the music selection.
Every detail is carefully considered by them, hoping to turn this day into an unforgettable memory for a lifetime.
One afternoon in late autumn, Evan and Michelle were in the living room of their home, watching the leaves outside gently swaying in the breeze.
Both of them felt a bit heavy-hearted because they had just learned about the decision of Evan's nephew Xiao An's parents - Evan's sister Su San and her husband - to get a divorce.
"Evan, how do you think Xiao An will be?" Michelle asked with concern, her eyes revealing worry.
Evan took a deep breath, his eyes filled with concern. "I don't know. This is too difficult for a child. He needs our support and love."
Xiao An is a lively and lovely little boy, he is always particularly close to Evan and Michelle. Upon hearing this news, both of them are very worried about Xiao An's feelings and future.
After a while, Michelle said softly, "We should go see him and give him some comfort. Children are always the most vulnerable when facing such changes."
Evan nodded in agreement, stood up, and decided to visit Xiao An immediately.
When they arrived at Su San's house, they found Xiao An sitting on the sofa, with a look of confusion and sadness in his eyes. Upon seeing Evan and Michelle, a faint forced smile appeared on his face.
"Evan uncle, Michelle aunt, mom and dad are getting divorced," Xiao An's voice was low, with tears in his eyes.
Michelle walked over and gently hugged Xiao An, comforting him tenderly, "Xiao An, no matter what, you are not alone. We will be here to support you."
Evan squatted down, met Xiao An's eyes, and said seriously, "Little one, sometimes grown-up matters are very complicated, but it's not your fault. Remember, not matter what happens, we love you and we're always here for you."
Xiao An leaned into Michelle's embrace, tears slowly streaming down. Evan and Michelle locked eyes, determination filling their gaze. They were determined to give this little life more love and support.
That evening, after Evan and Michelle returned home, they sat on the sofa in silence. This made them think even more about the possibilities for their future - whether they should have their own child.
"Evan, seeing Xiao An like that, I can't help but wonder, if we had our own child..." Michelle's voice carried hesitation and exploration.

Michelle could feel Evan's struggle and concern. If one day we do have a child, no matter what happens, we will still be a family. Your concerns are valid, but we should embrace every possibility, rather than be bound by fear."
Evan looked at Michelle affectionately, his eyes shining with gratitude. He knew Michelle was right. Their love was enough to overcome any difficulties and challenges.
"Michelle, you always give me courage and strength," Evan said softly. "If we decide to have children, I will do everything I can to be a good father to them, just like my promise to you. Whatever the future holds, I will be here."
Michelle nodded movedly, her heart filled with love and hope: "Evan, no matter what our future holds, I believe that as long as we're together, nothing is impossible. You will be an amazing father, and I will be a great mother to our children. We will grow together and face every up and down in life together."
On that warm night, Evan and Michelle sat embracing each other, with the moonlight outside filling the room and illuminating their faces. They talked about their future dreams and plans, discussing the happy family they would soon have.
