Father Gu and Mother Gu exchanged glances, their eyes filled with joy.
After dinner, my parents each gave me and Gu Chenxuan some silver coins to go out and have fun.
"Xiaoxiao, make sure to have a good time with Gu Chenxuan, and come back for dinner later," Mother Gu said with a smile.
"Okay."
I took the silver coins and saw my parents off.
Just before they left, Mother Gu grabbed my hand again and slipped something into it.

Mother Gu smiled and said, "These are what I had Gu Chenxuan pick up from the jewelry shop. Young girls like this style. You'll look beautiful wearing them."

"Thank you, my husband."
We leaned against each other, speaking softly.

"I was the one who saved you back then."

"I secretly followed you and saw that you were tricked out by Lin Wan'er. I found a place to hide and waited until Ermazi appeared before I came out to save you."
I suddenly understood. "So, it was your idea for Lin Wan'er to be with Ermazi?"
Gu Chenxuan nodded again.
"Xiaoxiao, will you blame me?"

"Thank me?"
"Yes," I said, holding his hand. "Thank you for saving me, and thank you for giving me a home."
Gu Chenxuan smiled. "Xiaoxiao, I love you."
"My husband, I love you too."
