Sophia and Morris found themselves standing at the edge of a familiar forest, with towering mountains and winding rivers in the distance.
Sophia took a deep breath of fresh air, her eyes shining with determination: "We're finally back, Morris."
When Sophia and Morris set foot on the land of Noah Continent, a profound sense of change emerged.
The once familiar scenery now exudes a strange atmosphere, with a hint of unease lingering in the air. Noah Academy, the place they once regarded as a temple of knowledge, is now shrouded in gloom.
"What's going on here?" Sophia stared at the changes in front of her, her brows furrowed, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.
Morris gazed into the distance, his expression serious: "We'd better go to the academy and take a look."
They quickly walked towards Noah Academy, and the scenes they saw along the way made them increasingly anxious. There were obvious signs of damage at the border of the academy, with some trees being uprooted and burn marks on the ground.
Upon entering the academy, they found the campus to be in chaos, with students discussing anxiously and teachers looking worried. Sophia and Morris hurriedly searched for Principal Seris, hoping to learn more about the situation.
In the principal's office, they finally saw Seris. The old man looked extremely tired, and he seemed much older than before.
"Principal, what happened?" Sophia asked eagerly.
Seris let out a long sigh, his voice low: "Since you left, the academy has suffered an unprecedented attack. We suspect it's the work of followers of Azansos, who seem to be searching for some ancient power. They have completely torn open the seal of the ancient battlefield. Sophia, Morris, I'm sorry for mistaking you as the bringers of disaster."
Seris's words hit Sophia and Morris like a blow, leaving them feeling complex and nervous. Morris furrowed his brow, his eyes showing concern: "What should we do now? The situation here is even more serious than we imagined."
"This situation has already exceeded our capabilities," Seris said heavily, "The spatial rift is expanding, and we need your strength to seal it and prevent the disaster from spreading further."
Sophia nodded, her expression determined, "We will do our best, Principal."
Morris tightly gripped the sword handle, determination shining in his eyes: "We cannot stand by and do nothing."
Seris nodded, his gaze lingering on the two of them for a moment: "Remember, the fate of the Noah Continent is in your hands."
After leaving the principal's office, Sophia and Morris immediately headed to the location of the spatial rift. As they approached the rift, the oppressive feeling in the air grew stronger, and the sky seemed to darken as a result.
Standing before the rift, they gazed at the black hole-like abyss, as if it could swallow everything at any moment. Black energy continuously surged from the edges of the rift, corroding the surrounding land.
"It looks like the situation is worse than we imagined," Morris frowned, his voice tinged with nervousness.
Sophia took a deep breath, her eyes shining with determination. "We must take action."
She raised her wand and began chanting complex spells, causing the elemental energy around her to gather. Meanwhile, Morris utilized the power within his sword, releasing a dazzling light in an attempt to stabilize the rift.
Suddenly, a powerful force of darkness erupted from the rift, shooting into the sky and forming a massive black vortex. Sophia and Morris were both almost simultaneously pushed back several steps, their faces showing expressions of shock.
"This force is too powerful!" Sophia exclaimed.
"We can't give up!" Morris gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with determination.
"We must find a stronger power to seal it before the crack completely opens!" Sophia said.
"Alright, it's decided. I will immediately summon the Nine-Star Dragonkin Demon, Thanos," Morris said.
Sophia and Morris quickly discovered that the dark power released by the followers of Azansos had spread across the Noah Continent, plunging many areas into chaos and destruction.
In a desolate ruin on the Noah Continent, Sophia and Morris witnessed a heartbreaking scene. Once prosperous towns now lay in ruins, shrouded in the shadows of dark power.
"Looking at all of this..." Sophia's voice revealed sadness, with a hint of determination flashing in her eyes.
Morris gripped the sword tightly, his brow furrowed. "We must act quickly. This dark force has already threatened the entire continent."
They saw several fleeing villagers, panic-stricken and filled with despair. Sophia stepped forward to comfort them, trying to offer some hope.
"Brave people, please believe that we will find a solution," Sophia said gently, her eyes filled with compassion.
An elderly villager trembled as he responded, "But our homeland, everything we have, has been swallowed by darkness."
Morris stepped forward and said firmly, "We will bring back the light. We will not give up on any corner."
Faced with this sudden disaster, they decided to split up and take action. Sophia headed to Shengluo Forest to seek the assistance of natural forces, while Morris went to the dwarf kingdom to find a relic to defend against the dark forces.
After arriving at Shengluo Forest, Sophia's communication with the tree spirits and nature sprites felt like a spiritual baptism. Every rustle of the wind and every ray of light in the forest seemed to convey the secrets of nature to her.
"Sophia, the power of nature is both gentle and powerful." Elmes, the tree spirit, gazed at her with its deep green eyes, its tone carrying a hint of mystery.
"I can feel it," Sophia responded, her eyes filled with reverence and curiosity for nature.
Elmes led her to a secluded lakeside. The water was clear and transparent, reflecting the lush trees and drifting vines around it.
However, at the bottom of the lake, an ancient divine artifact lies quietly, covered with thick water plants and moss.
